On warm a Friday night in Phoenix the Mets (36-23) take on the Diamondbacks (34-26) at Chase Field before a crowd of 23,671. Steve Trachsel takes the mound for the Mets but gets hit hard giving up 8 hits including 2 homeruns and 5 runs in 5 and 1/3 innings. The Mets offense however, continues to roll as both Carlos Delgado and Carlos Beltran hit 2 homers each as well as a solo shot from David Wright in the 1st. Beltran finishes the day 4 for 5 with 3 RBI.
