- Today we take a look at Amazon BHX2, Robson Wy, Ellistown, Coalville LE67 1FB.
We speak to the car park security marshall about the amazon collection locker and then discuss how it differs to the last one we tried to access in Daventry.
Security calls for backup as they dont want filming on the private property.
Finally, the boss arrives and guess what, he's a viewer.
Enjoy!

I’ll remember that next time Amazon deliver to my house and take a picture of the package in my doorstep
That would NOT be the brightest idea. They would take the package back to their depot. Derrrrr
Well said anything that's good for one is good for many. Basically if they can do it for their security and evidence etc why can't we do it for the same reasons. Some people just don't have the common sense to use their brains fully only half of it LOL 😜🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂💪👌👊🫶🪪🙆🤷🤦🧘🧘🧘🧘🧘🧘🧘🧘🧘🧘🧘🧘🧘🧘🧘😊
As someone as works in this very place, you can understand what I have to deal with almost everyday. And yes, I can confirm they don't really hire ''rocket scientists'' as security.
It reminds me of Monty Python or Little Britain, but depressing.
I've a question: Why do organisations have front facing security guards who find the English language difficult and consequently any form of detailed comprehension is very difficult.
Cheap labour, pretty obvious really, although i imagine you already know that lol
@@sherbert500 Not really. They don't pay someone less because English is their second language.
It’s a job someone with a lower level of English can do. People with higher levels are tending to do other jobs.
Cheap labour, you'd be surprised how many I came into contact with in the pharmaceutical industry, they could hardly speak any English
@@WhoMichaelWho You'd be surprised. The ONS estimate there's at least half a million people in the UK being paid less than minimum wage, probably more. Someone with a poor understanding of the language is likely to have a poor understanding of employment laws. All three of these had a good enough grasp of English to hold a conversation but if, for example, an employer paying them minimum wage told them they have to pay for their own uniform and equipment (hence meaning they get less than minimum wage in effect), it's possible they might not question that or realise what the law is. In some cases, exploited workers might not even realise they're entitled to a minimum rate.
"I don't know yeah..." dj explains - "yeah I know I know" 🤣
Jesus wept, this was like a bloody Monty Python sketch! 🤦♂🤡🌍😩

You would think that a company the size of Amazon could afford to hire staff with more than one brain cell, wouldn’t you ?
You think amazon hire them directly? No
Amazon should employ a security company who don’t employ idiots.
They are cheaper.
Amazon hires the lowest cost of everything. I did feel like I was losing brain cells listening to this guy. Unable to even admit if he didn’t know something was strange.

@@Ukdashcam786 who’s first language is Hindi ?
Dinghy divers nation now I’m afraid, full of them.
Lmfao. When did this come in? These days....
It's not always named after the nearest airport, I used to work in DWA1. D for Delivery Station, WA for Warrington postcode (even though we were in Knowsley) and 1 because it was the first one there. They don't have that one anymore.
There's also Sorting Stations, these are normally designated with an S, so for example SXM1, S is for Sorting Station, M is Manchester postcode, and the X is there because SM isn't 3 letters.
I thought the security bloke was accusing you of taking a video camera from the locker 😮
It's probably named for the airport through which their deliveries are made rather than the Airport geographically nearest to them. Makes sense.
The pause for the tractor unit once under the trailer is usually to raise the rear suspension and lift the trailer. It makes it easier to hook up and raise the trailer wheels. (I’m an Amazon trunker)

I visited LCY2 site on a school trip with my daughters class. Got to see all the stations and robots inside. Was impressive tour. I believe some sites offer public tour, won't be allowed to film but still worth going if you can book one.

When an Amazon fulfilment centre is close to two airports they always take the name of the nearest MAJOR airport. So in this instance Birmingham is considered a more major airport than East Midlands, at least by Amazon anyway.
As always great audit brother 👍
I find the same type of security guards have the same explanation they from countries that you can’t do anything without being told you can’t
Very good video, handled professionally all round, eventually. You’d think that they’d know if BHX2 was publicly accessible though.
After I watched the video, I went straight onto the Amazon app to look at many of the different locker names around our area. No idea how they came up with the weird name for the one outside our local Morrisons 🤔🤪
amazon needs to tell these guys that as representatives of amazon they need to be well versed in customer relations

WELL DONE DJ AUDITS
Great show as usual .

Chris was a decent bloke. The security guys working for him were not the sharpest tools in the box by any stretch of imagination. Bless them. Its not their fault that they are in jobs that they cant cope with. But my question is - if security is so important, why employ people who are so dim? Is it just about cheap labour? In which case security isn’t so important after all. Amazon needs to make its mind up. Pay peanuts they will get monkeys.
There is probably a clause in their insurance which ensures a certain number of security guards are employed to each site to keep their cover valid.
It’s not they are dim. They don’t get trained regarding laws etc. Basically Amazon are at fault for not training security around laws and how to deal with the public. Training costs money. Amazon don’t like to spend money as it eats into prophets. It’s as simple as that.
He didn’t seem dim to me, just not the best at English, everything he was trying to say made sense, you can’t expect him to know every law.
DJ Amazon warehouses are not always named after the closest airport. There is a lot more amazon warehouses than airports. For example Northampton warehouse is DNN1 there are no airports in the UK called DNN
