- Today we take a look around Webasto Roof Systems Ltd, Unit 7/Kingsbury Business Pk/Kingsbury Rd, Sutton Coldfield B76 9DL.
We walk up the side of the building to see where it leads, and have a good look at all the different stillages they use to move the Sun Roofs around which they manufature for Jaguar Landrover.
We then stand on the public footpath and have a quick peek into the back yard before we take the drone over for a good nosey around.
We are spoken to by a few members of staff who tell us we are being unsafe and ask us to leave the public footpath.
We try to educate them about filming and flying from a public place and also about how the Team Leader is not wearing a compliant High Vis Vest but we get nowhere and are still asked to leave.

Enjoy!

You're unsafe on the footpath, says the man standing in the road.
Then stands on the same footpath🤣
I made a comment on the exact same thing but a few ppl didn’t seem to get the joke 🥴🤣🤣
Perhaps they're referring to the standard of their drivers by suggesting you're unsafe on a pavement. Maybe the owner of the car parked fully on the pavement works there too.
Must say your last 3 vids were top class Mr Focus Pocus. Please upload some more very soon. Avid follower.
FP, AB and DJ make documentary and Pythonesque videos for members of the public to realise their rights. DJ it was great to see you being polite but then being firm when they dismissed your rights.👍
Perhaps it needs a visit from the Jedi Master?
Blatant disregard for the health and safety of the public and the highway code I'd suggest calling the cops but they would more than likely try to criminalise DJ lawful behaviour quoting something they believe is a law still gotta give them credit for having the German flag at half mast for old Liz .keep it up DJ
😂
I loved it when you told him to zip it. He didn’t want to get involved after that.
That was Classic AB Haha
If public can't stand on a public footpath without been in danger then HSE needs to get down their pronto!
Agreed needs banks man when trucks arrive
try not to worry DJ, his jacket might not be high vis but the shine on his head definitely makes him stand out lol
LOL

My wife left me because I kept making jokes about her going bald.
Well that’s hair loss
he could npt get a yellow or orange one big enough to fit him
I literally spat my beer out when you mentioned about having not been up the tree! Comedy gold!
There's no risk standing on the footpath, apart from if the vehicle driver is driving without due care and attention.
They really should stop trying to enforce traffic safety to members of the public when it is not needed, and maybe enforce some advice to the pavement parking that may cause a danger to members of the public, causing them to step into the roadway, into the path of those dangerous vehicles !!
Try telling my dad to stop driving.
I'm pulling my hair out with him
No mate, his main job role is road safety, he's out there all day guarding the road for our benefit, have some respect 🤡
I absolutely love your no nonsense approach these days.
Great video.
Admitting that the public are in danger on the public pavement is admitting they are responsible before any accident or incident takes place. The calibre of drivers must be well below average in that case.
Didn't notice if the little towing vehicle or trailer had number plates as are legally required to use the public road.
At the same time wouldn't the insurance be void if the vehicle was not fit legally for the road.?????
Petty deserves to be replied with requirement to be legally petty.
Great Audit DJ… You blew management apart, very calm & excellent communication skills… If you ever turn up in my work, your welcome in!!! Best Wishes Neil 🏴
Blocking His Majesty's highways with the staff cars on the footpath is a criminal offence so how about that Mr Manager
Very unprofessional and unfriendly people at that company.. what I like about you DJ, is that you remain calm and polite. Well done!
Great audit. I got the distinct impression that DJ wasn't in the mood for small talk with this one - especially at 15:30 and 20:55 😆. Great work DJ - fantastic footage - well done 👍
Absolutely CLASSIC walk of shame from David there. Nicely followed up and even got ahead of him to show his face of anger and shame. Peachy!
If I was ever spoken to by an employee I would walk in and demand the management, tell them I was recording on the public footpath out of public interest, but now im recording for my safety and to see how you deal with employees who enter the public then tell the public to leave. management well wet themselves hearing that.
Their statement that you are unsafe on the pathway is a serious admission that their drivers are incompetent and regularly drive on the public paths and not on the road. Serious retraining and testing needs to be carried out asap. David did a dummy spit because he didn’t get his way🤔😅😂🤣 I half expected him to throw himself on the ground and thrash around.😂😈.
Hiya DJ! I don't blame ya for thinking the sunroof company was called 'Ebasto' as i did too, because the W looks more like a separate logo rather than the first letter of the name! LoL! Anyway, thank you for another great video! So glad i found your channel! I can't stop watching them! Keep up the good work and keep standing your ground! xx
Wagons coming and going be carful. I’d never thought to be carful I’m so thankful he told me that.
You don't have to wear hi vis yellow or orange. The screen shot you put up confirms that
They have the audacity to say you’re unsafe when their site is in shambles and totally unsafe. What a joke!
Thanks for the education. Never heard the word stillage before much less what it means.
Great video, not far from me , have actually visited there too.
Absolutely love this channel…👍👍👍👍
Great Educational Audit and interesting insight to company. Staff totally out of there depth but least they didnt threaten you with the Police lol. Keep up the great work DJ
If I was buying/leasing a commercial property I would definitely be aware of the PUBLIC footpaths...get off our land...well it's a public footpath/right of way !
It always surprises me just how close members of the public can get to business premises quite legally on a footpath ! But if you can stand on a public footpath/right of way and see into a business, people working/processes and it computer screens then that's a BIG problem !!
Guy at the end just made himself and the business look silly 🥱
I love your videos dj, it was definitely a different mood than normal this one though, u seemed ready to go 👊👊👊
Another great video from dj audits enjoyed watching it funny as well 😄
can't understand, you normally approach companies to explain what you're doing yet someone approaches and very politely answers uour questions but when trying to see what your doing you become quite offish and rude. Then leads off to safety for no reason agreed. Don't know why you behaved as you did in first instance contrary to you're normally interactions.
A few times I have noticed that auditors tend to like the aggressive interactions, cos when they are friendly the auditor will sometimes become very arrogant, passive aggressive or just somewhat nasty.
Love it when people talk out ther arse then get put in ther place ,class as always dj audits see u in glasgow soon bro
Well done you lot, especially David, great PR for your company lmao We will all let Jaguar know
Jaguar will not care, both companies are German owned.
@@georgebarnes8163 Oh dear.
You were half correct.
@@noelward8047 Yep, mixed the brands up again.
I've worked in places with different coloured hi-viz jackets, and they tended to be colour coded to that person's responsibilities. Yellow for normal staff, green for first-aid, purple for foremen or supervisors and black for a manager. The reason I saw was that in a factory or warehouse with multiple (hundreds) people, you could quickly make out who you needed; and it did work. The only other thing was that the fluorescent strips had to be on the outside as if the lights failed (even on a bright summer's day), you were still visible to vehicles (reflection) etc. You could get a warning if you put the vest on with the fluorescent strips on the inside and not visible! It's the first time I've even seen it on the HSE website.
If you were in any danger on a publicly accessible piece of land, no matter who owns it, someone somewhere should have risk accessed it, and would themselves be accountable for any accident or injury on it; not you. The general public should be classed as stupid and unaware of any risk or injury, so there should be NO risk.
Your attitude is mint i just love your content
I think Webasto need to address the fact they are using an untaxed, roadworthy vehicle on the public highway - that's FAR more important an issue
As well as blocking the footpaths with employee cars
They get very defensive & confrontational when they're caught out!
I am kicking myself that I didn’t focus on using it on the public highway. Well spotted 👍
Your drone control has improved so much. I don't think I could do that.
Great audit. I still amazes me the authority some people think they have.
And many of them do not realise the public are aware of the law too. Many years ago many companies used to film their companies and what they did with a tour and put it on youtube themselves
Brilliant DJ
I bet they hate having that foot path going through the site, shabby way they talked to you and a few cars on the pavement very poor indeed Petunia...
I believe the black vest is for night use only, and the cars on the pavement are more of a hazard than you.
Well done you taught Butterbean a lesson
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 That guys a fat c***
Not like you DJ to break first offensive contact ya still a legend 👍👍
I've always thought the black high viz a joke . company's love to give employees a status with different colour high viz .high viz is yellow or orange but we are forced to wear yellow at Warburtons so we don't clash with there trucks which are reddish orange .I get that but we stand next to our trucks for an hour on there site which are painted yellow so we just blend into our truck . health n safety have the last say until we dead cos the fork lift didn't see me .
Hahaha David got his knickers in a twist didn’t he, no need for it 😂😂😂
22:40 Go David Sharp! Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory!!
DJ you were wrong about the Hi Viz must be yellow or orange, you put up the best colours are day-glow or yellow. Stick uo the legislation rather than best practice.
Most classic british cars with full length sunroofs are old jags old mg even had them on minis .
"If I hear the word stillages again I'll go nuts"...... in walks DJ, "hold my beer"
Tell me about it mate! 🤣🤣🤣
@@DJAUDITS Love your work... If not your legendary green trousers.... Have a good long weekend Buddy.
I had no idea what a stillage was. Spillage and village I’ve heard of, but stillage? Never.
@@staygulf83 I was the same prior to subscribing.... Now, I consider myself something of a stillage expert.
Wasn't it PJ who, when advised he was in danger from lorries, asked if they had Stevie Wonder driving for them?
Great video again DJ!
Great audit às always...pavement can be dangerous places,,just ask PJ .
Thanks for sharing another video audit 👍. Not a good look for thier company 😔. Till your next post stay safe respect 🙏 .
These employees are a disgrace and full of there own importance well done DJ you put them bang to rights there perceived authority is laughable they need to look at all the vehicles parked on the public paths which I'm sure are illegally parked and a hazard for the public meaning they would have to walk in the road causing major issues for this company they need to have a good look at themselves and put there house in order great work 👍 DJ finding them out
First thing I look for is the running time of video. When over 15 mins normally good!
What a nasty company, hope they aren't spouting toxic stuff in the atmosphere or water supply as well!
Webasto also makes diesel heating units for heating air (mobile installations like HOV’s and RV’s). Also air and liquid heaters for potable hot water or heat transfer systems. 😅
my freind bought a scooter black its nice he has sprayed it orange same as the hire ones in liverpool just goes everywhere , and its his private owned .
David went from 0-100 when he didn't get his way xD
Get yourself to warehouse 1, Newlands Rd, Bognor Regis (opposite a Lidl) They have all the parts there for RR cars, have lorries being loaded/unloaded, loads of action and protected by 24hr manned security who I know would be more than happy to brief you up on what happens etc.. Its a really interesting place and one your viewers will love
Signs of AB there lol, Zip it, brilliant.
17:34 - he says to a man on the footpath, "You're in a dangerous place to be standing" - whilst two of them are stood in literally active roadway, and 2 others are gormlessly standing in the middle of wagon reversing/loading areas
Whats wrong with people !
To wear a black HI-viz in daylight or a well-lit environment is basically acceptable, there is only guidance on preferred colours, including pink, as long as it has reflective material. Just as long as he is following company policies, risk assessments there is no problem,,,,,
DJ bud teach me your ways. Geru legend.
DJ can you please ask the companies if they are hiring, on your next video, if people are looking for a job.
As the yellow truck towing the blue trailer goes onto public roads, it should surely have a number plate for both the truck itself and the trailer?
Sunroofs DJ 😂😂👍👍
Good luck buddy love the video 😁 how I know this I done the course and have passed and have the RTITB FORKLIFT license to drive and was fork lift driver many years ago
It's so nice Webasto have staff dedicated to public road safety, they pay multiple members of staff to stand out there for our benefit. The dedication to road safety is amazing 🤡🤡🤡
Flying in sport mode , you boy racer
Their site safety and security is very questionable. It’s good you have done an audit on them, now they can learn about how to correct their mistakes.
Dam I use one of their heaters in my van....They embarrassed themselves as a company. I'm going to share this in a van life reddit . Most of us wont support a company we feel like we cant pull up to and ask some questions or get some help concerning something they make.
Fair play mate, if you’re on your feet all day schooling numpties, Yeezys are the way to go, proper comfort
Way to go DJ, attack is the best form of defence.
They make HEATERS, for lorries, morning heaters ETC. My VW touareg has one that you can program to warm the cabin in the morning before you get in.
My 2005 Toyota Avensis has one of those as standard. I simply pop outside, press the remote to unlock door, insert key into ignition, turn on engine, turn on heater, close door. Go back indoors to finish my breakfast, 5mins later after breakfast. I have a warm car😁🤣
@@jonnygti no key or engine needed....and it was standard kit. also circulates the hot coolant around the engine to warm the block before a cold start :D
@@EnemyDwarf-TTV I know mate, I was just being sarcastic! That does sound rather good 👍🏻
Larry Lard said its unsafe to stand on a public footpath. How odd.
It probably is with all those cars driving onto, and parking on, the pavement.
Another excellent Audit, very polite and professional unlike the company representatives.
Like saying it's dangerous to climb a tree, I'm not climbing a tree, lol. Brilliant DJ 👍😂
Dunning-Kruger effect ........ and social media giving power to anyone with a camera .
The RTITB Counterbalance Lift Truck (often referred to as a forklift) operator training course will give you the skills to operate the lift truck safely and efficiently, carry out a pre-use inspection, and recall and explain the causes of lift truck and load instability.
David got a bit sore didn't he 😊😊My wife used to work there twenty odd years ago...It was called Tudor Webasto then
0:33
I thought you said “You bastard “ 😆
If that guy put a yellow hi vis you could probably see him from space.
Always support you dj but it doesn't have to be orange or yellow at all, in droitwich there's a warehouse job where the staff wear purple, at DHL we managers wore orange and everyone else wore yellow so people could spot any managers, pick coaches wore light blue, trainees wore red, could you imagine if they could only use 2 colours, life would become very hard
8:30 i love the little david animation
sorry DJ but you instigated all the negatives yet blame it onto others.
I agree. I would say that DJ got out the wrong side of the bed.. not his usual self on this one.
The best colours for this, does not mean the ONLY colours for this.
The way you speak is the type of niceness that makes the other angry 😂😂😂
All the cars parking on the paths need a footway parking ticket from the local council lol
Also forklifts are allowed on public roads, as long as certain requirements are adhered to. If you're planning to operate your forklift on a public road, or use it to travel along a public road, your vehicle must be registered with the DVLA, taxed and insured
Nice to see Team Leader give you the finger(pure class), I also wonder if that little electric shunter is registered for the highway?
It doesn't need to be registered. Its classed as lifting gear and can operate between depots on a highway or industrial estate up to a distance of 1000m. It does need warning lights though.
@@dappledorchard5691 not quite so, still need to be registered and insured as a work truck to operate between sites. If you are operating over 1000 yds full vehicle rules probably apply.
Ex logistics manager 😇
@@ViGo53 agreed sir !
Daft David was RAGING ! ! He spat the dummy out big time and made a right show of himself
webasto designed and manufactured diesel heaters for bmw, i dont know what other vehicles have them now but i know bmw certainly have them, you can program the heaters to come on at a set time to defrost the car and warm it up in sub 0 temperatures they are diesel and some petrol ones have them i had an x5 with one
You are cheeky, but I like it 😁😂👍
It's not been mandated in law. Like most HSE information it's meant as guidance. Risk assessments will identify and form policy however with the amount of variants in any given application it's impossible to set binary (legal) rules. Yours, H&S professional of more than 25yrs.
Would you agree that a Black High Vis vest does not comfirm to ISO 20471 as shown here? - www.iso.org/standard/42816.html
I would value your proffesional opinion.
I may have misheard but DJ does say it's "guidance"
25 years experience wow🤥 and you are ONLY 35 hahaha
@@DJAUDITS A black hi-vis is unusual, but QMS and QA standard breaches aren't covered under criminal law, per se, unless there's an incident. Hi-vis under the law is simply "adequate for the job". And as I said before that can't be binary because of the wide number of uses and applications. All comes down to risk assessment. More fool the company if they were to allow inadequate clothing if/when someone got hurt. It also isn't mandatory for a business to have a quality management program. Most do, but again it would be unusual for it to be so granular that it would cover the colour and type of hi-vis vests (unless the wearing of was important and integral to business main activities and associated risks). Hope that helps. Finally, big shout out to the abusive ghouls sending me love for what I thought was a passing and innocuous comment.
Yup, it's weird seeing people in the comment section saying how great it is that you're so polite to these arrogant a$$holes who need a good telling off when they are rude to people in public!! Good on you mate.
Unsafe on a public footpath lmao 🤣 says the idiots standing in the middle of the road 🤣 you get them told Dj love your videos keep up the good work 😁
How much is the Landrover grit....
Cant find it on their website ?
That little vehicle towing the trailer is illegal. It has to be fully road registered and insured to drive in any public place, it hasn't even got a number plate so is 100% committing a road traffic offence.
Hey DJ, sticking it to em ha.🤨😎
Get up the tree DJ! lol that comment made me laugh :D
Good video, in regards to the high visibility regulations, to me, the regulations seem to be written as a recommendation and is not strictly prohibited to wear a black high visibility jacket. Nevertheless, I do agree that the concept of a 'black' high visibility jacket is absolutely ridiculous
Not if it snows a lot.
Great video of car windscreens
10:33 - 11:45 What looks like high flammable containers surrounded by highly combustable material. I think the yard is a huge fire hazard. Relaxed Hi-Viz yard rules too. Tut tut.
That’s one of they Camouflage Hi-Viz jackets, apparently you’re ment to wear one if you wish to remain incognito.
