Due to my lack of control this would be the start of a hard sparing 😂
Lmao same, every spinning & jumping technique would end up this way
lmaoooo
What really surprises me is how he never gets his kick checked doing this. It’s amazing lol
@@maxanderson3733yeah, people simply do not expect that to be a kick for many reasons. Like for example: People on the gyms usually throw Roundhouse kicks in "the correct way" so you rarely expect one if your opponent does not throw it in such a way
Another thing is that Jeff is too tricky! Such a weird move looks more like a feint to get you to react rather than an actual attack
don’t extend/snap the kick until your leg is pressed against them and use it to push them back. Hope this helps.
Looks like an old-school Taekwondo move. Very nice!
I love love love how well you vary the strength according to your partner's ability and aggression.
The control and restraint is incredible
I love that hop step. You can add it to almost any kick to get some distance. I originally learned it in TKD for front kicks, roundhouses, side kicks, and even back kicks.
Who would’ve thought taking a step could bring you closer to your opponent wow this is ground breaking
@@Gainsforlife LMAO shithead reply. Bro is just expressing his thoughts-- not even negatively, and you went outta your way to be a snarky dummy. lol
Think about maybe establishing that and swapping sides halfway through. You’ll get the liver and clear more space on a backing up opponent due to the feint. Sorta like a switch kick. They’re incentivized to rear straight and catch kick, but because of that a swap over to liver side would sneak in if they try the east counter. Love your videos!! They get my mind racing about this shit, my bad 😂
thanks man!!
Also would help protect against the KO. This kick forces him to drop his hands. Switch kick, you pull your hands back up to gain force for the kick and can come down, immediately throw a right - left combo.
Not sure about it opening up the liver but Conor Mcnuggets uses this kick alot to great effect, and when he does it, he picks up his front leg like he is gonna throw lead a teep as he pushes off the back leg to leap forwards.
Its like the kick version of the Gazelle Punch.
Flying low side kick is better than flying roundhouse because it leads to grappling: double leg, single leg, anklepick up, etc. Sakuraba used that as an opening.
Everyone is doing the entry a bit differently which is kinda cool to see, the gist being jumping into the kick
cheers!
AWESOME as always thankful for you Kru Jeff🎉
no prob!!
“Let’s just go light”
*throws flying body kick*

So smooth
It's a great kick. If they close the distance you can easily transfer that kick to a knee also. It's a great move. Notice the shove with the kick also. Super important to do that as it pushes the opponent back out of range
Kyoji Horiguchi is a master in this kick; he is able to cover a huge distance throwing this kick
Lol he’s superman with this kick flying across the ring
In TKD, thats a very great move to use. But often get countered by Spinning Back Kick if telegraph. But since Jeff is non-telegraph and very fast, its effective. Love it!💪🏻💪🏻
beautiful kick, long dollyo chagi 👍
Diving into the ropes like that could potentially put more power in it from the look of it
When kicking one hand on top of groin for protection and on hand protecting your jaw...
On the hold don't let him think
Straight out of senchais book!
Forward-forward-kick 🕹️ ➡️➡️🦶
Remy Bonjasky vs Gokhan Saki
He knocked him out with this exact kick, very nasty when it hits the ribs at full force
I swear to God, I love how you can tell this dude has basically trained almost everywhere.
I love this technique! I learned it from my Kru a long time ago!
oss
The Jeff Chan suprise!!!
:)
Do you give lessons? Your skill creativity intelligence and control are all awesome and perfectly integrated.
hey yes I do!! email me at jeff@mmashredded.com / let me know if you are ever in nyc
Might use this in my own kit.. looks scary to get hit by.
cheers!!
Until somebody with actual experience catches it and throws the right cross lol
Love this idea. Would you see this as useful if you drive the shin across the thigh too?
I think its the same kick kaoklai used to ko mighty mo, a 50 kg heavier fighter than him. One of the best kos ever.
I'm gonna have to add this one to my arsenal. Looks snazzy
Awesome! 😎
Kinda reminds me of a Thai hop with a right body roundhouse at the end...with head off centre-line(of course) 😂🙏💯
ossaaa
This is great!
:)
Dope shin kick👏👏👏👏👏👏
oss
Teep entered the chat
I have one like that but it’s straight kick
Cool, now i can flying kick in my sparring❤
Could this be altered to aim for a low kick instead?
bro you cant do this to lyoto machida style (in his fight against jones)
How would you defend such a kick?
Thanks goodness you pull it or it's broken ribs!💯
hhaa oss
Gazelle kick
How would you counter this or avoid it?
Would u still recommend this for mma sparring with takedowns? Or only muay thai
I would call this hard sparring.what do you quantify it as?
❤
Damn i need to work on that one
OSS
Nong o does that a lot
Watch Remy Bonjasky! Dutch kickboxer. He was great at his technique.
ossss
Reminds me of Saenchai's jumping low kick.
oss
gazelle kick haha
creo que la patada seria mucho mas letal si apuntara al higado
Beautiful "Gazelle Kick" 🙌
🫸🤛
Why isn't this blocked? The distance covered is so great that a kick is unexpected?
You mind if I use and practice this technique bro.😂😂
def try it :)
@@MMAShredded also do you need a partner to develop you're kind of footwork. Or is it something that I can consistently practice on a daily by myself.🤷♂️
Cool but There’s a better way to block them kicks
This is advanced level, not for beginners 😉
taekwondo Bundle kick to the liver..
were there any failed attempts? this move is amazing tho 💪🏽
yes but couldn't find any while making this video
I perfer a superman punch fake the eneds up being a lowkick
Until they know jujitsu
Or sanda
If they expect it.
Kick me like that and your leg would probably definitely fall off.
If you ever travel out to Hawaii let’s eat some rounds in. Your high level and know how t keep it fun.
oss
Nah, I can do it but is not very good practically.
When are you getting back into the cage?
He say the pay wasn't worth it. He probably wouldn't
Then retreat . Ok . Pointless
That is taboo in self defense ... you need to clarify you use some of these techniques in sport.
That is a sport technique only.
In kickboxing you take it for granted that no meaningful consequences exist if you go to the ground youre taken down.
You also knlw your opponent has tendencies to shell you test them see them know they might not desire a low gate block.
That is a sport technique like a lot of techniques on this page and i think we should be clear which techniques are which when its like that.
Do not do that in self defense.
That is super tricked out for sport.
For self defense ... just as an idea for an idea ... try a skipping front kick if they attempt to block question mark kick or crescent... or change the kick.
You do not throw mid body roundhouse by itself in self defense.
Jump kicks create a path you cant change and are easy to counter.
If your opponent is getting away a skipping kick is a good idea a jump kick is so so ... a roundhouse can prevent a side step
I get it.
Just not in self defense.
In self defense id consider a skipping not jumping low or mid front kick with an option of changing the line of the kick.
In self defense getting your kick caught can lead to being taken down then objects weaponized on prone defender bad idea in self defense ... cool in sparring and maybe i dont have an opinion in ufc i am not ufc.
I mean you can try it in self defense just be willing to get smacked across some pavement and bewak bones and get taken down for a hopeful crack rib scenario.
You are crazy ... i like that go you.
This is not a self defense move for clarity?
Funny. You know nothing about kicking.
@@muhaiminakbar4472 funny find out. Also self defense kicking is vastly different I wasn't in MMA I did BJJ and stand up bareknuckle street fight club blood and broken bones in 96 and I haven't gotten any worse.
MMA ... Idk.
Mixed arts. Yes.
Thai ... Meh.
One can look at strengths and weaknesses ... I appreciate the skills and MMA is a different game.
High skilled athletes in semi predictable safe environment predictable opponents... guaranteed no death outcome.
I understand unfortunately exactly how to throw the Thai roundhouse ... Street-style roundhouse to and there are chambered flamingo & Crane style.
I just don't value that kind of thing as much as you all do.
It's unsafe.
Don't attempt
If someone is low gate blocking ...
You'll be on the ground.
@@muhaiminakbar4472 I trained tkd BJJ first two arts I really like jkd I did a lot of grappling after that.
The Thai roundhouse is strong but a side kick is still stronger.
Thai will break ribs sometimes.
But side kick will break ribs lungs compound.
Whatever.
Side kick better.
@@muhaiminakbar4472 be positive. As far as my message it can work in MMA don't use slow mid roundhouse in self defense.
@@ScoobyDoo-kt9pvkick is kick. If you know how to use it, then use it.
