This MMA Training video teaches How To Close the Distance With The Jab And Finish With A Right Hook.
Alexsandro Pereira is a renowned Brazilian combat competitor who currently holds the GLORY Middleweight and Interim Light Heavyweight kickboxing titles. This is an excerpt from his new series TOTAL STRIKING CONTROL available exclusively from DynamicStriking.com.
Dynamic Striking was started by a pair of black belts (Bernardo Faria & Michael Zenga) who feel that nothing is more important than improving your striking skills as much as possible in the least amount of time. Their aim was to create a shop for students interested in striking who don’t look at mixed martial arts as a sport - but as a lifestyle.

Ya need to learn traditional combos and defense first. Then work more advanced stuff.
The step he uses with his back foot was used by Jack Dempsey. Dempsey has a book that details a lot of his tactics and techniques. There's so much information out there for free it's crazy. I would have loved this growing up in the 80s and 90s. If you wanted an instructional video, ya had to shell out $60+ for each VHS tape or DVD depending on the decade.

Body builds for reference to WuXing(five elements)
Black shirt Water primary Wood secondary
    Water pros/Cons
    +Devastating striking and grappling
+high mass makes him take center mass shots much easier
-joint stikes to knees are devastating
-much slower and easier to evade
-mass add extra stress on organs and limbs giving less stamina making them lean towards defensive counterstriking to last in fight
    White shirt Wood/Metal Pros/Cons
+Devastating reach and it's greatest advantage
+flexible and nimble and usually tall allowing to take advantage of more unorthodox techniques techniques such as crescent, axe, and spinning techniques due extra centrifugal force leverage
-limbs are not as strong as other elements and more susceptible to injury/breaking
    -close range game is weaker
-require setup and feinting to unleash strong reach combos
