As a tall fighter, I wouldn’t look up to mikes skillset and style, but its always to good to learn from the greats. Lennox and Muhammad Ali are my guys tho

Perfectly said, by teddy atlas, at 2:07 . About defense and offense working together. I always say "my offense has to have a built in defense". Thats the point of boxing ,its to hit without getting hit. And we try not to go in only offense then only defense but using the 2 together. Punching with headmovment and footwork are essential but also things we learn even with basic fundamentals like keeping the non punch hand up were it should be and things like that. Or even when i throw strait punches My chin is always tucked Behind my shoulder when my punch is extended. But that an important concept.

ive paid close to $1000 on the dynamic striking website for a lot of videos that I've applied and really helped me at that time, ima competitive amateur boxer and i gotta say strategies i already use and have learned in the gy or fights but to the point and i love it . especially being conscious about hooking with a hooker. beating them to the punch or punching with them the cleaner punch i spar a lot of pros as i will be going pro soon and the liver shot is a assertive punch and even thrown on its own at the right time can display great skill and ring iq but seeing the left hook while blocking man that's money right there! love it

I never really thought about it like that when he said the right shoulder is what throws out the left arm. I’ll have to remember that.

I alao do the same idea when im punching and i notice my opponent starts moving there head around i either just go to the body or ill stop punching and step out and leave them there moving there head around rather then trying to punch at there head and get countered. "Leave him there headbanging" lol . Teddys right when the opponent is punching we dont have to stand there for it. "Leave them shadowboxing". I love listening to teddy atlas explain boxing techniques, it reminds me of my dad back in the day teaching me the fundamentals and the lectures about boxing stuff ,the way he words and explains things. No matter how much the sport evolves i love learning and hearing what the OGs have to say.

I like that idea of slipping both punches by staying on the one side. If i have to cross my head to the otherside i just roll under. I slip then weave under. Thats very true about slipping right to left or vise versa, that's a good way to get caught. But slip and roll under is always effective too. I like this way in the video too. Its better to have more then one way of doing something in boxing.
