Tournaments are definitely back but jousting hasn’t been shown sadly but i expect warhorse is keeping some secrets 🤫 I would be surprised if it wasn’t included

@@blinsteven8094 I'd say that horse combat will definetely be improved and optimised. In KCD1 it was very clunky and clumsy, and considering the fact it was, at the beginning of the 15th century (about 50 years before heavy cavalry became, to an extent, obsolete in european warfare), a very important part of combat (and of course for ages to come), it would make sense if it has an estabilished and optimised system in KCD2

I think from what they’ve been saying the game itself is already done, and they’re working on polishing things until it releases. That makes me more confident in the release being more stable, they also have grown a lot in staff so hopefully it’ll be on track
I bet you’re right bc KCd was so buggy for a hot minute like way longer than it should have been and I am sure they’re trying to avoid that for their second release especially bc this one will have way more players on start

if youre looking to play kcd2 at 1080p a 3070 should be absolutely fine
what about 1440p? im not to fussed about running everything max im just not a huge fan of 1080p and 4k seems a bit extreme so 1440p is a nice middle ground, i have an RX 6750XT which afaik is about on par with a 3070/3070ti
Might be cutting it close with the 8GB of the 3070 on the highest settings in 1080p
@SOG98 if roxybwas looking to play at 1440p I'd say yeah , 10gb minimum but 1080p should be fine.
@nick11jl rx 6750 should be good , the 12gb of vram is definitely a bonus , don't forget with fsr ( hopefully fsr3 with frame generation ) the game should run nicely.

I'd be interested to know if those 4k/60fps/High settings were achieved without DLSS/FSR. I'd hope that's the case with the rig they used as that's pretty high end.

@@Hexenkind1 I did read the article. Unless I missed something, it still doesn't state explicitly whether the performance metrics quoted were using DLSS/FSR. Just that this is a development build so that there's time for further optimisation.

Hey Roxy, can you find out if there will be mouse and keyboard support for the Xbox Series S and X? It's built-in for the console, but it doesn't work for all games, as the developers have to allow it and code it in.

I just hope it's playable one lower end systems. I can play the first game on high settings with a pretty steady 50fps but KCD is pretty old at this point so that probably doesn't mean much.
Man I really can't wait for this game. I've been having such a blast with the first one again.
I have to buy a whole new console for KCD2! I told myself if another game is announced then I will have to buy myself a PS5 to do so so here we are! At some point will get one probably when I know a release date and if any cool collectors editions may happen 😄

Maybe the account thing is for syncing stats and other character details from KCD 1. I know it wasn't there in KCD 1 but it could be something like that 🤷♂️

I know you’ve probably mentioned it to Warhorse once already, but in the lead up to the release of KCD2 they should seriously consider implementing a next Gen patch for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. A sequel will eventually result in more sales for KCD and they want to have good word of mouth as that happens. I think the investment would be worth it.
Gameplay over graphics: absolutely yes, BUT - specifically in KCD, an evening walk through the woods at 4K highest is someting else.
I played the original at 640x480 on Xbox game pass on my laptop and knew nothing about KCD. I enjoyed it immensely. That's what got me to purchase it for my other PC later on and can play at 900p on high. I'm usually graphics over frames; as long as it's playable.....good enough for me.
PROS account might be for a modding tool access account for a new SDK?! And PROS account for a mod platform for download mods also?!

If I’m going to upgrade I want at least a 4080 or 4090 :) will mean I can use them for longer
the information I've only heard in audio podcasts is that you won't go to jail anymore because criminals haven't been locked up there, so it's not hysterically accurate. instead we face physical punishment. for example, bet in the wood on square. Maybe even a gallow at the end. but as we could see in the trailer, for the crimes we commit they will burn us a mark and it will be visible for the npc and they will react accordingly. For example, we will have a conversation with a bandit and his view of us will be more positive than a townsman in the city. the mark will be visible for maybe a few days or a week.
Will the famous white Villa in Prague be there? With THE white couch in it of course.

Hey Roxy, you don't need to upgrade from a Nvidia 3 series to a Nvidia 4 series, it's a waste of money, it really is. Because there will be a slight visual diffirence between a Nvidia RTX 3070 and a Nvidia RTX 4070. But IF you do, keep your focus on the CUDA-Cores because they are much more important then the VRAM Memory of the Graphics Card itself. The more CUDA-Cores the better.
Also another tip:
Nvidia RTX 4060 and RTX 4070 cards are enough to run one Monitor.
Nvidia RTX 4080 and RTX 4090 cards can run multiple Monitors or one 4k Monitor.
I play KCD 1 with:
- Nvidia GTX 1070 8gb VRAM. (and I have no problems at all on high settings.)
- AMD Ryzen 7 1800X 8 Core Processor @ 4.0Ghz
- 32gb DDR4-3600 G.Skill (8gbx4)
- 1tb M2 SSD Mp600 Gen4 PCIe from Corsair.
- Motherboard MSI Tomahawk Max B450M.

Performance seems fair for a 2024 AAA game - I'm one of those who likes running at 4k and have a 4080 Super to do it with , so to play at high settings is a fairly reasonable target , if its native 😂.

Maybe in PROS account you get some special features for creating videos, like several camera angles, recording the game to render videos later, admin power to generate stuff. Or maybe that is access to development tools, or an account with enabled monetisation of created content like mods or quests, so you can earn money.
Maybe they even intend to allow other companies use their systems to create their own games, they had such tendency during first kingdom come deliverance.
I highly doubt they try to screw playrs over, it is not profitable decision.

What worries/scares me is that one thing f the best parts of the orig is that Henry knows smeg all so you have to train n learn everything right down to reading so with 2 being a continuation and f 1 how will the fact Henry has now done all that effect it?

I have a 4070 Ti, so I'll run it at 4K and whatever graphics options let me at least get a stable 30fps minimum. My guess is the Very High setting will do just fine if it is optimized okay.
The normal Ti doesn't have that much VRAM.

@@Hexenkind1 I know, the vram is my biggest issue. I upgraded last year from a 1080 Ti, and I only have 1 GB more of vram! But with card prices being as stupid as they are right now, I got mine for $750 which was the most I could throw at it. I would have gone with a 7900XT specifically for the extra memory, but they were sold out at the time and more expensive. But anyway, there hasn't been a game yet that I can't get 30 fps min on at 4k with this card. Usually I get closer 60 on most titles with dlss off
As much as they suck. Nvida does better jaggy tech. You made the right choice. By time 24 gigs of ram is needed new cards be out.

I want the best experience possible, so I’m planning to upgrade my specs with the goal of being able to play at 4K. Ideally 60 fps, but honestly to my weird eyes anything above 30 is basically 60 fps. I’m completely fine with 1440 though it’s what I use currently, so I’ll stick with it if I haven’t got the money to spare before the damn game comes out😂.
Well KCD2 is part of the reason why I bought a new rig, if this Nvidia RTX 4070 Super does not run it good I don't know what will!

3060ti can easily run it 1440p high settings with DLSS
@@larochejaquelein3680 I'm running 1080p ultra with HD textures, sometimes on cutscenes temperature rises and my vibrating GPU fans start making noise. I have to run it on my old LCD at 60hz, I need a new graphics card Zotac never more. Every time the fans raises over 55% It start's to make noise like something is broken, only does on gaming when it's hot, 100% fan at room temperature doesn't cause anything.
Warhorse (from what I heard from developers) don't really like Unreal Engine, they have the same opinions as I have - you see just propaganda from Epic everywhere, but in reality, those games don't look that great and run pretty badly.
I believe if they use their original CryEngine technology and update it and add DLSS, it could run the same or even better than KCD1, depending on size of areas, ofcourse Kutná Hora could be a problem, but we will see, we have better CPUs and faster SSDs now, it was not really a problem of GPU back in the day, it was problem of CPU running at 100% in these areas.
I have Ryzen 5800X3D and old RTX 2070 Super and the vast majority of games (even newer ones) is still playable on that in 4K+DLSS in performance mode with carefully set details. I believe after I upgrade to like 4080 or something like that, it's gonna be completely fine. I have trust in Warhorse in this case that game will run fine on today hardware, not like poorly optimised games running on CryEngine that want 32GB ram for no reason.
I understand why many people ignore 4K, but I have to say it's the best upgrade I've ever done, I have 4K display since 2017 and that change in image quality is massive and with DLSS or FSR, it looks fantastic and runs well and the vast majority of today games already support DLSS and FSR, so it's maybe time to upgrade to 4K display. Both DLSS and FSR in newer versions do fantastic job in upscaling and removing aliasing, so it can look actually even better than native 4K, I am not kidding. Today engines mostly don't support real antialiasing like MSAA or SSAA, only postprocessing shit, but part of DLSS and FSR are some advanced antialiasing methods that do really good job, game looks sharp and with no aliasing even with DLSS on performance. I really reccomend to test it, on 32" screen, full HD is pixelated like hell and 1440p is meh. Ok for games, but in desktop, font is not literally smooth.
