Act 1 + Act 2 were in KCD1. Act 3 is in KCD2. There will be no time jump. Game takes place over one summer according to the Devs (they say there will be no change of seasons).

IMO there will be a time jump, as we see Henry has aged in cut-scenes. Early on he looks much as he does in KCD. The footage of Kutna hora seems to show him as an older man - about mid 30's or so.
I think KCD2 is Acts 2 and 3 considering the story is supposed to be twice as long as KCD1.

From what I remember (I can't find a source), the 3 acts of KCD were meant to be (1) Skaltitz raid --> battle of Prybyslavitz (2) battle of Prybyslavitz --> siege of Talmberg (where we know KCD1 to end) (3) whatever conclusion KCD2 has.
I remember reading that Warhorse planned to make all these acts into separate games, but ended up combining acts 1 &2 into KCD1. All this to say, I wouldn't be too worried about what you mentioned at the start of the video (story being rushed).

I think Hussite Wars would be in the sequel and maybe Henry will be on Hussite's side and Hans on the opposite. Maybe we would play as the son of Hans, It would be so cool.
Considering Sir Radzig was on the side of the Hussites and Hans was against them, an hypothetical 3rd game where Henry has to choose between his father and his best friend would certainly make for some good drama.

What may happen is that this could be the end of the 'Kingdom Come: Deliverance' arc of Henry's story. The part where he gains the sword and his vengence may end in this game. However, that doesn't mean its the end of the 'Kingdom Come' story as a whole. There could be a new arc (lets just say Kingdom Come: Retribution) with maybe one or two games, set during the Hussite wars, following either an aged Henry or possibly another character entirely. So essentially KCD1 and KCD2 form the first chapter in the Kingdom Come series, with potentially more games exploring the next chapter, more focused on the Hussite Wars, or on a new character, with Henry perhaps as the protagonist or as a secondary character. I think it would be a real shame if Henry's story ends here, and I see potential for new games seeing the continuation of the story.
the name itself ("Kingdom Come:Deliverance") seems like a direct reference to the Lord's Prayer: "...thy kingdom come [...] and deliver us from evil", so I don't know if they would change it besides adding numbers and maybe other sub-names?

Didn't they say the only load screens would be when switching maps? That would suggest you can go back and forth. If you just go form one to another once, that would just be a cut scene and not a "load screen"
I wonder how the baliff of a town can canonically just leave? I hope to see three things: Theresa in game or mentioned, pribislavitz mentioned, and the fate of sir Radzig Kobyla.
Divish will probably appoint a new bailif in Henry's absence. At the end of KCD 1, Radzig and co expected it to just be a simple letter-delivery, and it would be okay for a bailif to be away for a week, doing business for his local Lords. However, as things will happen in KCD 2, that "deleys" Henrys return, Divish will probably have no choice than to appoint a new bailif.
I have heard Threasa got a lot of hate mail after a woman's lot and they removed her from being on KCD2 less she comes to wear Henry is. They likely have signed someone else.
I think the game will be set slightly north of Troxky, to include Hruba Skala, a castle founded by Hynek von Waldstein the coat of arms of which is highly similar to that displayed of a Black Eagle upon shields. This castle was taken over by the Lords of Jenstein in 1416 (which may be the reason the castle is being besieged by Von Markvart)- meaning we are not only likely to see TWO entirely different game regions but also VERY likely to see two entirely seperate TIMES as well (as in some Henry looks much older than in others).
The Jenstein family crest is two vultures heads, both RED, which may have been stylized into the red birds we see upon the shields of the men capturing the castle.
Also, just went on "How far did I run" to create an estimate of the bounds of the Trosky map. IMO, the castle will be towards the south-east of the map, which will include Ktova in the south east. Its southwestern bounds will be Troskovice, and its western bounds will include Zelejov, Bohuslav, and be bounded in the north-east by the mountains leading up towards Hruba Skala. Northern bounds may include Doubravice and Hnanice and end in the fields to the east of Hnanice.
From the "How far did I run" map, that is an area of about 9 square miles, or 15 square km. Thus, slightly smaller than KCD's 16 square kilometers.
Depending on whether or not they do the same as KCD and re-work the landscape scale to fit the game, we might also see either Ujezd pod Troskami OR Rovensko Pod Troskami fit in to provide market towns for Henry and Hans to trade - and, more importantly "wench" - within.
Looking at the Kutna Hora map size, I'm expecting it to be about 18sq km, or 11.5 sq miles. It should Include Castle Sion, in the South West (I think this is where the early footage of the bailey assault is shown), as well as the village of Malesov directly to it's North-East (and i the far North East of the map will be Kutna Hora. Hopefully its walls will provide extensive views to other regions further north-east but those will likely be inaccessible) It MAY contain Karlov, Sedlec or Spisi if they distort the map somewhat. In the far North-West, we should see Miskovice, and possibly to its south Rotez.
From my understanding, KCD combined a total of 8 total villages, hamlets and towns
In the Torsky area, we will likely see a similar volume, but in the Kutna Hora region, it will likely have more villages surrounding it. Hopefully the fragments of civilization surrounded by chaos will provide enough safe zones for Henry to comfortably eat his fill of biscuits and be appropriately welcomed with familiar greetings.
We are getting closer and closer to release, but I cant wait anymore. Time to get a job at Warhorse Studio.

Not only Hans capon had son IRL but his son become one of the most influential person during the hussite wars in bohemia. Also we most likely do not get to play as two protagonists. It will be all about Henry and his story. There is a theory that something goes really bad at the prologue which nerf our Henry a bit so we can build him up again and set new skills for him. There might be a time jump tho. Henry seem to be a bit older in some parts of the trailer. Possible SPOILER: Lord Racek Kobyla was summoned to Kutná Hora in 1416 where he was ambushed , imprisoned and executed. The possible time jump might let us experience this part of the history.
The 2 days later thing could just be the prologue. Remember in kcd1 the whole skalitz intro is considered the prologue and it can take up to an hour of playing before you even see the opening credits

I think the end just means the end of the story that started in kcd1 namely the vengeance quest with us getting the sword and kill markvart also I don’t think there will be a time jump as in years maybe a couple of weeks. Markvart was supposed to be dead the previous year in one of the battle shown in the trailer with the trebuchet

I think a time jump could just as well be Henry and Hans staying in the Trosky area for a while before going to (and returning from?) Kutna Hora. Besided Trosky is
almost 100 km from Rattay and 80 km from Kutna Hora (Rattay and RH are actually fairly close, about a 6 hour walk). Therefore it will take some time going
there and back again which would explain a possibly time jump. If there is a KCD3 (which I think there will be) I think it will be another sequel which close Henry's
and Hans' story set in 1412 with hans assuming control over Rattay and Henry returning as Bailiff of Pribyslavitz together with Theresa (Henry's wife to be).

This has been my prediction too, mainly because Tobias mentions Kuttenberg being under Siege by Sigismund (IGN interview), which occurs historically in 1402 (Major part of KCD 1's codex and plot, Zbyshek's German dad argues with Skalitzers about this) and once more not until 1421(!!!!).
With how much Jan Hus was mentioned in the first game. I wouldn't be surprised if they did make a 3rd game set during the hussite wars. And if there was any time to kill off Henry That would be it.

The few years later means I think Henry will get prisoned by those knights in the early and then it might jump few years later when Hans saves Henry from that prison as we saw in trailer also, but its alredy been some time so Henry will be kinda older, tired and thats why you will start as weak guy. But also in czech podcast one guy said combat will be a bit fixed and easier since start, cuz they think its kinda hard in KCD 1. there wont be master blocks and each gun will have its own trajectory, swiftness etc. Im looking for KCD 2 so much! I have seen every czech podcast by every developer that went on youtube, since im czech. If those vids have subtitles, I recommend them to you! You should find them simply :)

I wanna dlc similar to Pribislavicz, but with more freedome. Henry is now noble so it could be possible to be lord with castle or something
honestly, i think i have more of an issue with stories getting drawn out over multiple episodes/acts when they should be and could be finished much better sooner. Peter Jackson's Hobbit trilogy, for example. Also I'm guessing that this game is going to be a good bit longer than the first one - could be that some of the original Act II material is in KCD 1, and the rest fits nicely into 2 with all that was planned for Act III as well.
Given how Henry looks considerably older than he does in KCD1 in some of the trailer, I assume that there will be a time jump after the smaller map, but I don't think it will be Henry who dies, I think it will he Hans. I see it as you do the first bit on the smaller map (as Henry and/or Hans) and get to some form of ending (possible regaining the sword), then time jump where something happens, Hans dies we go for vengeance.

Id love a section in the game where you play as Hans for sure. He can even have his own stats to make him stick out. I can see them at least considering it since the Theresa DLC in the first. Maybe he will be more roguish gameplay wise.
Remember the intro to the first game? When some OLD guy is presenting what has happend BEFORE events in Skalitz? He ends up with words: "this is where my story begins"...
For me this is clear that Henry will live long enough to tell the tale...😊

This makes total sense to me. With the game now having so many creators and developers employed by them. This means that likely they can complete in one new game what would have taken 25 people years to do. So I don't believe we will be losing out on anything. Now they just have the ability to do it all in one. We will have our pie and eat it too.

There will be no importing saves. It's theorized something will happen to Henry nerfing his stats too so you have to start fresh in some way.
Kutna Hora relatively close to the events of KCD1. Bohemian Paradise and Trosky is more than 100km away.
I hope what they mean by Henry's story ending is the Deliverance act of his life. That the sword will be recovered, the murder of his parents are avenged, and the story of Henry's journey of transition from village boy to traveled knight ends. But not his story as a warrior itself. I guess we'll have to see the story of KCD 2 but I'm pretty sure the Kingdom Come franchise and Henry as a character would still have plenty of life within him for more games. I would love to see future games with Henry as he ages and becomes a more trusted and recognized figure in Bohemian society and encounters new problems and challenges.

Well my gues is that their three part story was Rattay story as first part, Trosky story as second part and Kuttenberk story as third part.
They also said that each part will have 15 - 20 hors gametime. But KCD1 just main story was for most players somewhere between 35 - 70 hours. Plus side missions.
So third part is still probably their basic vision, but we will get second and third together in KCDII, while the story and gameplay grew massively since their first presentation 10 yeasr back.
But even in first game, it was so long, that basicly fullfiled their promised gameplaytime time on Kickstarter and gave us bigger map then they promised. (They gave us about 2/3 of things said in that video).
Also there was interview with Viktor Bocan in Czech (sadly without english subtitles) and he confirmed, that Henry's story will be fulfilled in this game, but that does't mean, they will nevercouldn't come back to it in the future.
And it makes sence to me. Where we will realise, there are Two main storylines going on. First is Henry's revenge (we will get here), but second is war between Wenceslaus allyes and Sigismund army. And that second one in real life conclooded year later in Vienna and Znojmo. But we will not see it in this game with a high probability.
I'd still not reject possibility of trilogy beacause of this. So either Henry might be summoned to help win that big conflict, or we might play for another character in third game. Like Hans.
But off course those are just mine speculations. Which I'd love to see happening and playing.

It is clear it will be set in Hussite wars (as expected. No way they would pass.) as we keep seeing those guys in red that are 100% Utraquists. An hussite subfaction bassed in Prague and are basically none existent outside of that period . Most likely somewhere around 1421 as Kuttenberg is location as well sine of major battle happening that year.
What we don't know for sure is, what side Henry is on. We see him battle Utraquists but that tell as a little, as hussites consisted from several subfactions that fights with or against other in spur of moment. What I think what we will get is choosing who we side with.
I would love to see a time jump and the events of Hussite Wars. Very interesting period.

For a very long time I haven't been hyped for a game like this. KCD1 Is by far the best game I've played. So captivating, engaging and beautiful. The ending seemed a bit off but when KCD2 comes out it will be a joy to play the whole story once again!
Henry absolutely looks older in KCD2. I dont think its a case of "oh henry id more detailed. He is, but he looks like hes settled into his position. Theres gotta be a time jump.
I also thought about the playable hans theory due to a post that luke dale shared of his relative saying he couldn't wait to play as him lol. Probably nothing but who knows if some secret info slipped out.
With a interview with Nights arcade and sir Tobyi all the acts was ended at the release of the first game. He said we got 100 hours with dlcs and they promised 60 hours. With what I have heard and the trailer Sir Capon gets knocked out and then Henry falls off a cliff and we get locked up. Sir Tobyi said no saves are transferring over or we will just get a set skills so no can max skill into KCD2. So we lose everything armor and weapons.
It would be an interesting thing to say (hypothetically) something happens to Henry and you play as Teresa who finds out about the incident. After learning how to use a sword along with her bow knowledge… goes to see and/or avenge Henry… she meets Hans Capon who then updates her, and they end up having a child together because Henry is no longer in the picture.

Adding another game onto the story in five more years would limit the Studio’s ability to grow and develop new games. I’m just glad they finished this one! I think it will be amazing and then they will go on and develop even more amazing games.
You are right that trying to put two books into one movie doesn’t end well, but neither does dragging out a story for three books when it could be told in two.

Prague is not THAT massive at the time. The technology can do it. However, the game peons who design it can not. You would need a lot more people to deliver way less fun, because the map would be only the city.
They could bypass it by removing some quarters from playable areas, but then it would no longer be an openworld.
Once, several years ago, I listend to interview of Vávra. He wanted to finish this game, in order to pursue different project. Later he hinted he liked the early 1900s, and story of czechoslovak legion (stranded czech soldiers in russia going through civil war with armored trains cca. 1917-1921) Or it could be a homefield game, in Bohemia as part of Austria-Hungary, where a group of nationalist separatists (not nazism) calling themselves Mafia, orchestrates a rebellion against the emperor. That would be first motorbikes, first cars, airplanes, trains kind of era, among higher society.

Im not bothered so long as i have copious amounts of ale and bourbons whilst playing.
I believe KCD 2 will finish Henrys Knight arc. You know, about training and fighting and revenge and shit. I believe after the end of this game i believe he will survive and go back to a homely town somewhere, open his own blacksmith shop, work for a few years, have a wife (theresa i hope), a son or two. Just like his father. You know, a storybook ending and all.
(And then a final epilogue scene shows you Hans, or Radzig, or a new character visiting Henry with a new Mission. Hussite wars time. And then it ends. For me, that would be best)
I'm not worried in the slightest. They will do an amazing job with narrative, as is clear from the first game! Plans change. Games get bigger. And then they'll have the opportunity to make Kingdom Come: Different Subtitle in a different time period!!!!!!
I think it may be as simple as Henry being in prison for years, and that may be also how he forgets how to fight.

One thing that jumped out to me was that Henry and Markvart looked a lot older in some clips.
Story should conclude in KCD2 and next game should be about Hussite Wars with new gameplay and characters.

My main problem is how the hell to they give a satisfying ending to Henry in one game? I'm somewhat aware of how the Sigismund invasion of Bohemia and capture of Wenceslas ends, but the thing is, you can't ''conclude'' Henry's story right before the biggest event of his life, the hussite war. I mean come on, his father and best friend are litterally on opposite sides, it has too much potential not to tackle and we'd feel bad knowing the game ends a few years before the worst time of his life. Unless he dies.

first half of game will take place in Kuttenberg. Second half of game is in the Bohemian Paradise wilderness- Henry will be an old hermit who never stopped grinding alchemy and hunting rabbits.
I've seen other people point out that Henry gained some weight between I and II, but I haven't seen anyone else asking: WHY IS HIS HAIR 15 SHADES LIGHTER???? WHY IS HENRY A BLONDE?!?!?! At first, I thought it was just because his character model's hair lightened with age, but then I thought "that doesn't make any sense, because if this is Henry right after he leaves for Kuttenberg then he will still have dark brown hair for a bit and be relatively the same weight." It doesn't add up.
So, when we will get KCD 3? ;-)

I could be wrong, yet I believe they mean that we’ll simply see Henry achieve his goals in retrieving his father’s sword, along with killing Markvart and Toft…
I just don’t see the developers not covering the Hussite Wars in a third game, especially with the possibilities in player choice that such a game would entail…
The idea of a time jump of more than a year or two also seems incredibly unlikely imo, seeing as we would be skipping a major portion of Henry’s journey and development…
Also, the idea that the two maps take place at separate times has already been dispelled by devs, yet Trotsky will be the initial map we start with…
I think that the time jump will place us in the begining of the Hussite Wars and I think some things confirms it:
-1 Hand cannons: the first time hand fire arms were used at war was during the Hussite wars.
-2 Father Godwyn: Father Godwyn will reappear in the game, and not only that, he will do it as a warrior after “having left that live behind”, I think that only a religious conflict will make him retake that path, and he stated very clearly in the first game that he was interested in Jan Huss’ teachings.
-3 There is a great war: there’s no need to explain that before the Hussite wars Bohemia was yet in a chaotic situation, specially after the kidnapping of Wenceslaus IV and the succession/titular crisis in the Kingdom and the Holy Roman Empire, nevertheless it did not scale into a full-scale war until the Pope declared a crusade against the Hussites in 1419.
-4 (and linked to the 3rd) there’s no better opportunity to face sigismund forces: the Hussite wars started after Sigismund was crowned King of Bohemia and petitioned the pope to start a crusade against this heresy.
My guess is that in the first part of the game Henry and Hans will have to struggle to deliver the message to Trosky Castle after they are atacked (making them even more close) and will have their confrontation with Itsvan Toth, you will learn more about King Wenceslaus and will treat with more important people. First you will side against the Hussites, but not without hesitation, and after some traumatic events (probably Hans death?) and realising that the Hussites are fighting against Sigismund he will switch sides, probably also convinced by father Godwyn. Another option is that Hans fakes his death(?) or maybe they simply do not follow a strict historical path like with Markvart Von Aulitz.

I think Kingdom Come: Deliverance 1 and 2 are Henry's story-- deliverance being the subtitle. There could possibly be a seperate series called Kingdom Come:???, that takes place in 1415/16-1419, taking place during the beggining of the Hussite Wars. (Character spoilers) I say 1415/16 because that's when important characters like Radzig, Hanish and Divish die, and the conflicts that eventaully spark off the Hussite wars begin (which happened after Jan Hus was burned, and Wenceslas began killing Hussites because he wanted to be crowned Emperor of the HRE). I say 1419 because that's when characters like Hans Capon and Wenceslas IV die, which leads to Sigismund becoming the King of Bohemia when the Hussite wars officially kick off.
I don't think a 16 year time skip makes sense when all of the major lords of the first game will die during the time skip-- but I can see a seperate series being made during that time that involves Henry as a father figure (like Martin) in a seperate series.

I think if would be fun if they did character switches like gta5. Do some henry quests then hans quests and have some where they are together and pick who you want to play as.
Hate to say it, but my prediction is that Henry and Hans end up on different sides when the Hussite Wars start. Henry's already shown an interest in Jan Hus's sermons, and is friends with Father Godwin, who clearly has Hussite sympathies. Hans is going to stay loyal to his family and refuse to join the rebellion. It would be a powerful way of showing the impact of civil war, turning friends and even brothers against eachother.
My guess would be that everything's going to hinge around Hans getting killed in 1419. There'll be an initial introduction/ tutorial section, where you get to track down one of the baddies from the first game, then there'll be a time-jump to 1419 and the outbreak of the wars, which is where the main plot will begin. Henry will either be forced to fight Hans, or maybe one of his allies will kill Hans and he'll switch sides to get revenge on them. There was a big battle at Kutna Hora in 1421, so it also wouldn't surprise me if there's another time jump to it, although they might save that for a sequel.
The scene where Henry's getting tortured might be used as an excuse for you to lose your skills and abilities and have to relearn them. It might take him a while to recover from his injuries, and that would allow you to engage with the RPG mechanics without making Henry ridiculously OP.
2 maps and a longer runtime just sounds like they have combined 2 games together
The whole 3 acts were scapped. The first game was more than just the first act, you are assuming wrongly. Also the game is like twice as big so...
