A few more details to add:
- The Kuttenberg map will be a little bit bigger than the KCD 1 map, the Trosky castle map will be a little smaller than the kcd1 map. So in all both maps make it double the size of the first game.
- Theirs only one loading screen between the two maps. Beyond that they have no loading screens!
- Warhorse confirmed that Kuttenberg is under siege by Sigismund during the gameplay
- We were right, blacksmithing is getting added to the game.
Thanks for the update battle brothers.
Henry can teleport between Maps?
YEAH Henry can forge his own gear now! Henry in the Town of Kuttenberg with Hans? that can only lead to a Mess xD since Henry never saw a large town like this
no loading screens aka FULL FREE ROAMING! yesss!!! and hope fully no Fast Travel at all! well why would we need fast travel in Kuttenberg anyways? even trosky map will be way to compact for fast travel
@@_No_data third person will be bad for this game both for combat and immersion
The first game is in my top 3 of all time
Same here bro! Even got the platinum and 100% trophies on PlayStation.
Well soon to be 2 games of warhorse in your top 3
Very underrated game definitely on short list
In mine too! Ther's also Far Cry 2, Godfather 1, or maybe Watch Dogs 1.
@@MarlonDeanMusicChannel thought watchdogs was ok but love the other two
Crazy how casually Vavra said "KCD 2 is like what the first game was supposed to be, but because our lack of resources or experience couldn't".
KCD is probably one of if not the best historical RPG ever đ
Itâs not historically accurate itâs bias and makes the Cubans look like savages
Something Bobby Kottick would never say :D
@@DeathragesChannelBobby Kotick doesnât make games, he makes money from dumbasses.
So the sequel is going to be even better! I canât wait
It's the only historical rpg if you can name another quality historical rpg ill go play it but unfortunately i think I'm gonna be waiting until kcd 2 comes out for that
Henry has come to see us
finally after 7 years

Out of how many times you hear it going in, and out of towns, I don't know how I forgot that...
You are correct, sir.
Very, well done.
Iâm sooooooo glad they decided to continue with Henryâs story and not do the whole takes place years after he died lol
Henry, the man, the myth, the legend

The sacking of Kuttenberg already happened. Henry talked about it with Sir Robard.

Usually I'm skeptical of new games and remain sort of cautiously optimistic, however I'm fanboying so hard for WH and for KCD2 that I literally can't help to be anything but super hyped.
Same I can't wait
@@Midwestern85 real
Agreed. Warhorse is pretty much the only studio where I allow myself to be optimistic. KCD set the bar so high and prevailed against all odds and publishers, you just know their heart is at the right place.
It's probably going to be super buggy at first, but all bug games tend to be that way. I know they will fix whatever bugs they missed!
@@BillyMadison3rdGrade I've heard through the grapevine that KCD2 is roughly at the state now where KCD1 was at launch. Idk how reliable that info really is though
The first game released my senior year of high school. As a medievalist, I preordered it, and when it finally came out, it became my all time most favorite and beloved video game. Cumulatively, I have put probably a thousand hours at least into it between my various playthroughs. Yesterday when I saw the trailer and announcement, I was actually tearing up. The first game got me through some very difficult times in my life, especially when I deployed overseas with the Army. So many of us have kept it close to our hearts, and we have been waiting so patiently for the next chapter of Henry's story. This is the only game I have actually looked forward to since 2018. Fans can now rest assured and find peace, knowing that our beloved little-known game is getting the attention it deserves. I look forward to spending countless hours in the sequel, hopefully it includes early Hussites and the Rosenberg forces involved. Only time will tell though.
Thx is soo good that you like this game and i Hope you will enjoy new kcd 2 more siege and new locations and maybe in Future you will visit real places where this game happens specialy good is castle Trosky you can look on them on net still in good condicion even after 400 year when its was abandon
I wonder where the story of Henry is leading us, after all if you remember the intro that plays whenever you enter the game, is Henry narrating his life during old age, so maybe from here and in next games we will see his life maybe even after his revenge, after all the The hussite wars aren't that far in time for Henry to participate like a Veteran.
Whatever the case is, we can only wait and see what majestic storyline Wharhorse has for us, praised be the lord đđââïž and may he habe mercado on us, in this dark days of 1403
WE WILL NOW WITNESS A DUEL WITH LONGSWORDS
I hope they make fighting groups better. And really just improve the quality of movement and controls overall. That alone would make it much more enjoyable
I hope they make it less janky, but I hope they keep it hard AF. Fighting groups should be extremely difficult, but not because your fighting the camera lol.
@@lanehillard1596 Yeah but I hope itâs difficult in a good way. Like you said, the camera was not very good with groups and it felt like your skill went out the window and you just had to run. But then running away wasnât easy lol. Thereâs a lot of games where fighting a group is hard but still fun.
Or every enemy bandit t u see is a group . Never 1 on 1
@@jaxsonburch-eo1vz Agreed. I just like how much it spikes. IRL 1v1 against an equal is a hard fight, going to just one additional person can make it almost unwinnable. Three basically just means run or die. I kinda like that.
@@lanehillard1596 I donât think Iâve ever won a fight against a group while exploring the world of kcd. It made me not even want to explore because I was afraid of getting jumped lol
I remember when I found KCD on sale on steam 2 years ago with no knowledge of it . The game blew me away . I absolutely love KCD . Itâs truly one of a kind , thereâs no bother game that does what it does . It is kind of a niche game for a certain audience but I didnât know anything about Bohemia /Czech Republic prior to kcd . I love medieval settings , but I only really knew like Englands , Frances and Germanys history for that time period . I learned so much playing kcd and itâs such a fascinating time period . The codex was such an amazing touch they added .
Everything from the voice acting , the combat , environments, castles , weather , quest , the original music , writing , the dlc, the rpg mechanics and everything else is just so well done . This game was clearly made by very passionate people who put their hearts and souls into . Bg3 is the only game Iâve bought on release In about the last decade , but I will absolutely get KCD2 because the people at warhorse seem fantastic and really listen to their fanbase . Iâve seen devs and even the voice actor /capture model for Capon on the KCD subreddit many times . You can tell they really love what they created and love engaging with the player base
Bohemian soldiers were well known for gunpowder usage exactly in this era.
I hope henry will still talk about how hungry he is while stealth deleting his enemies
I'm so happy they are making a sequel to this game
Hopefully we get to fight Sigismund.

I remember mastering the combat with mace/warhammer and shield and being able to fight off high level bandits. I absolutely loved the combat system and I used Ravenâs beak and Bailiffs mace as my two favorite weapons. Hopefully they carry the same type of fighting over into KCD2. đ€
Combat is just so satisfying and fulfilling when done correctly. It's very different from other games where you just press a button or time your attacks to parry
Absolutely. It took a while to get used to the combat. But once I ended up mastering the different types of combat, it became so satisfying and fun.
I don't normally do a lot of collection or completion stuff in games, I just do the main quest and the big side quests. But the combat in KCD is SOOOO GOOOD I caught myself just walking around looking for fights lol.
I did the exact same thing I started off using swords but once I figured out blunt just destroys Armour I went all in with macesđ
My usual strategy was headshots with the stinger short sword and a shield.
I just really hope they tried to keep that insane level of historical accuracy. KCD 1 is easily the most historically accurate game of all time, even the paintings/murals locations are where they actually were inside that castle or church. They even pieced together that Rattay had walls before there was even solid archaeological evidence of walls being there. The historical accuracy is one of the reasons itâs my favorite game of all time
This is turning out to be 'THE' medival rpg in all of gaming.
I got into your channel from the Kingdom Come Let's Play series; it was extremely long and I watched every episode. It became probably my favorite game. It feels like we're coming full circle and I'm thrilled to be here for it
Edit: it's been confirmed you can raise and lower your visor and it's optional
One of the things that really stood out for me during the reveal was people raising and lowering their visors when they're in and out of combat.
It's a very VERY small detail but one of the things that irked me in the first game was you would raise your visor when you got out of combat, but when you talked to NPCs it would still be down.
So the fact that they took the time to add that in the sequel gets me even more excited for it.
I know what you mean but you could do what most people do and take the helmet off đ
Though it helps with intimidation option
@@SpecialOrder935but then you may not be able to get it on on time and, boy, did it make a difference in your chances of survivalâŠ
I actually liked it being closed in the first game. Itâs hard to get a nice helmet and I want to see it on my character in cutscenes and dialogue. If the visor is only on during combat, Iâll never get to see my helmet! Lol
@@isaacgriffin8259 it's been confirmed that raising and lowering your visor is optional, so we both win!
8:15 yeah alot of the old manuals of arms detailing early firearms straight up mention putting the barrel to the chest of your target because they were so horribly inaccurate that was the only guaranteed way you'd hit someone
Yep exactly, they were used very rarely but when used they had a range of few feets lol.

Gun powder was in use in Europe at least since 1297 when king Edward the 3rd used it against the Scott's which would of been 106 years before Henry's time. It's most likely that Europeans and Asians invented it independently of each other. Asians probably had it longer but never developed it into an effective weapon, besides for some really primitive rockets that didn't have any use against fortifications because of how weak they were. In contrast, Europeans had used it for hand cannons by 1326, and shortly after that, into mounted cannons that were powerful enough to be used against strong fortifications.
Ive read that china had entire sieges with bamboo runs stuffed with rocks and gun powder and tbey lined up along walls n stuff and would blast the archers from under
@thisismyname1701 It took a while for metal to get up to the needed quality to be used as an "effective" material for cannon barrels. Go try and knock down a castle with a bamboo cannon and see how that turns out. Also, most of these claims about cannons used in medieval China are not based on archeological findings but rather a few cave drawings (southeastern China I believe). Obviously, that's insufficient evidence. You could also make the claim that the vikings had fire spears because there is one referenced in the sagas about a spear that spits fire, and maybe there was - or maybe not. We don't know because one has never been found.
@@jessehines4044 interesting thanks for the input
â@thisismyname1701 You're welcome. One last point I'd like to make is that china's gunpowder formula used less saltpeter because it was artifical (harder to produce) than the European formula did. This means that thr chinese version has less ballistic yield and wasn't powerful enough to hurl heavy objects at high speeds. However, it was appropriate for the making of fireworks, rockets, and incendiary weapons which explains how gun powder in China was used in only fireworks for at least a century after its invention.
Gunpowder traveled to Europe from Asia, and a lot of effective uses for gunpowder were pioneered by Turkic peoples who lived in between. Many firearm technologies and tactics were developed independently of each other but itâs use definitely traveled from east to west, and actually quite fast all things considered.
The first game was the most immersive and fun game I've played on PC. Incredible.
I rewatched KCD a few days ago (good timing--as I fished for the letsplay, I discovered there would be a major announcement). Trosky Castle is a three days ride mentioned in-game. But Kuttenberg is one day (a third this distance), which confused me map-wise. So it makes sense to have those two regions separate. I also won't be surprised if Hans is the only non-villain to recur in the game. The ending of the first game made out the next adventure to be Hans and Henry getting a taste for the outer world and not having the seniors guiding them. What I can't wait to find out though is what kind of trouble those two get into that gets them sucked into politics and war more than simply delivering a message.
The dude we released at the end of the game will probably be back for revenge maybe an ambush after the ride with Hans, he will capture Henry and torture him, causing him to lose his stats, get chubby over few years of imprisonment with Hans. My guess is Hans will get ransomed earlier than Henry, then he will probably re-train Henry and thats when we will start the game with Henry being shit at everything again due to his past injuries and a few years of not picking up a sword.
9:31 fun fact: This is where the Foundation season 2 takes place (those psychic people's planet).
Loved the first game. I am excited about this game. My PS4 almost caught fire playing the first so my PS5 will love this and the graphics look fantastic
Kingdom Come Deliverance is my favorite game of all time and I'm very excited to see what Warhorse Studio will be able to do with KCD2 since they have more money and experience.
Henry will be back to see us!
Hope they add good maintanence mechanics for more realism
I'm excited for the blacksmithing. Sharpening looks to be the same as in KCD1 but that's fair I think. Felt like a decent system to me.
Kcd is by far in my top 5 best games of all time. It was such an experience and thrilling ride and i cannot wait for the sequel so hyped.
I'm stoked! The first game was by far my favorite walk through/let's play you've ever done. It's an incredible game!
Man I can hardly wait. I loved KCD 1... btw this would be amazing on vr just thinking about it gives me chills
It took me almost 500 hours to complete the game and it's DLC plus a hard mode run through. I can't wait to play this game.
You helped me discover KCD1 all those years ago and now here we are again. I look forward to your coverage!
This is awesome news Dannyđ
Watched your kingdom Come deliverance walkthroughs and will be waiting for this tooâ€â€
Maybe the crossbows that you can reload on horseback are the light ones, also henry does seem to use a mechanism to reload one during the presentation, he was using int in a forest behind someone.
Either way, i will bet that you can reload only the small ones on horseback and the big ones used for siege will require you to stand your ground and use both legs and arms. The round metal nose that some crossbows had was to put your feet on it and the pull with your arms or some assistant equipment, the guys at Warhorse can totally do that, i'm fairly sure.
It just feels this game is a work of love..something that many games are missing nowadays
I just started replaying 1. So pumped for this!
Me too. I just started for a 3rd time like a week ago, and now the news like that are coming out. JESUS CHRIST BE PRAISED
Just started? Oh man. Enjoy! I'll go for my 4th or 5th play-through to prepare for KCD2. :) I love this game
Great to see Rocketta which Konrad Keyser mentioned at the siege of Talmber
One thing I can't agree on is about how being a bad person qets like unnoticed in KC1. It's not true. In KC1 if you're stealing, or killing in the villages, it hurts your rep significantly, causing people to dislike you or even guards to search you (or attack you in order to put you in the jail). I count very much for it to stay that way in the KC2, as it adds a lot of realism to the gameplay. I'm very curious about this branding thing though. Could it be a part of the main play or just something extra we don't really want? xD I also hope that they will still keep the bow in the game regardless of the crossbow, because it is a real fun to feel, how difficult it is to use it, and how it becomes practically impossible if you use a bow which is too advanced for you.
Why wouldnât you want that? This is one of the features Iâm looking forward to. I love crime systems
Just don't get caught, i always stockpile Saviour schnaps so i can save scum before critical moments lol
they could make the bow fast but crossy slow but strong
Beyond excited for KCD2. Vavra and the Warhorse/Deep Silver teams seem so passionate about this series. My hopes are high with the increased dev team size and budget.
Story-wise, i wonder how Kuttenberg is under seige by Sigismund? I thought he took it before he marched to Skalitz in KCD1.
Canât wait to see all we can do like Blacksmithing! I loved the mechanics of the first game like the alchemy and such. Cant wait to see how theyve improved these things further!
Thanks ESO! Keep up the coverage đđŒ
I hope they keep the clothing/ armor layering like in the original. I thought it was great.
definitely. same with the randomized NPCs I'm sure. I'd love some more depth to that system though, like if having too many layers on restricted your movement or caused heat stroke or something like that to balance out the tank-meta. It felt wrong to me wearing a super stout gambeson underneath a full hauberk underneath a full plate suit and still throwing a heavy jupon on top for best results. If you did that irl you would barely be able to move, let alone fight.
I believe they will. They mentioned that the clothing system is basically the same but with some further polish, like not being able to wear armor without an under layer of clothes, etc
I hope in making the combat more accessible, that they don't lose what the first game had. It needs to keep the "complexity". I want to be able to attack from any direction. Combat looks really good! I just hope it doesn't lose the special sauce that the original had.
I think the Combat is fine as it is, in my opinion tho if that was really the problem, they can just give some sort of difficulty options, the first game only had perma death toggle right?
I think what they meant by more accessible is more fluid combos etc. itâs actually a bit of a challenge to pull them off and I often just master strikes my way through the game.
â@@_gold_eye_2656it should be hard. Like in real life. You cant be as good as another player who studied it for 3 months and knows all combos.
@@unwokeneuropean3590 yes, but should it be hard in the second game? The Henry in the first game is a peasant the Henry in the second game is an experienced man at arms.
The thing is that in the end the combat is not really as complex as it looks once you learn master strikes, and it becomes a waiting game just to spam them and win the 1v1. I do hope they rework that part of the combat entirely.
I actually was in Kuttenberg and in Sasau river area(my familys friends live in Kuttenberg) so I'm excited to see it in the game and also return there this year.
Time for a replay of KCD1 it is.
I find it odd that Kuttenberg will be under siege by Sigismund. In the first game, you can have an entire conversation with Sir Robard about how Sigismund attacked and secured Kuttenburg, as well as what his motives were. They straight up tell you that the siege of Kuttenberg already happened and now Sigismund has turned his attention to Sir Radzig and the other lords of the 1st game. I'm wondering if this is a retcon or if they have decided to have a 2nd siege of Kuttenberg.
Wow this made my day! This was one of my fave games!
I'm curious if there's going to be some kind of archetype system or skill choices at the start of the game based on the skills Henry had/could've developed in KCD. Clearly he'll be starting at least with basic skills in KCD2 as it wouldn't make sense for him to just... forget everything he learned. Like I imagine you'll start out with "basic" combat skills, literacy, etc but need to develop those skills further.
I'd prefer him to carry over all the skills, but then scale up the difficulty and incorporate new abilities so that Henry can be stronger/better than ever. That would come with a TON of balance issues tho bc Henry could get crazy strong. Still like to maintain all the basic skills or every skill he got through a quest at least
Can't wait. The only thing I'm worried about js how well they'll create continuity from kcd1 with regards to skills, wealth, equipment, choices, etc.
I really hope they do something like in the Witcher games where it didn't affect THAT much, but you could still retain some details and continuity from the previous game. Starting over doesn't sound so bad either if it's property justified, tho.
I hope we can get War/Great Sword
As far as firearms hopefully we can get an arquebus like weapon as like a special piece would be cool but who knows the hand cannon might be just one and done weapons.
Can't wait for the playthrough of this, really enjoyed the playthrough for the first KCD.
OMG! I can't wait!!! I feel like the old lady at the start of the Titanic... "It's been 84 years..."
I am elated to see this. beat the first one on hardcore 4 times and currently on my 6th play through currently so 5th hardcore play through lol. GREAT GAME.
Been playing a Hardcore run with all negative perks and it's been such an experience. You can't get more immersive than that. Maybe with VR, but that's it lmao
OMG!! I just can't wait! That music in your other video gave me shivers and brought me back to medieval Bohemia!!
In 2020 I got the gane after seeing your videos about it. Now I'm playing it again with the DLCs before the second game
I'm excited to be honest. I've only just purchased the first one for under ÂŁ4 with dlc on Xbox. Enjoying the start. So will get next one too
The first game was very atmospheric.
OMG! I can't wait to get my hands on this, i loved the first one.
I wa hyped for the first game. I'm even more hyped for this. Can't wait to see what they can do with this game now that they have a much larger studio as well as more resources.
With the crime mechanics being expanded; one thing I hope for are clothing options that can be used for it. I.e. cowls and hoods. If you are wearing a cowl and hood and are detected committing a crime, you have to ability to flee without Henry being positively identified as his face and head are concealed especially if repercussions are greater than just 10 days in a cell.
Always bothered me in KCD1 Henry cannot put his hoods up nor put a bit of cloth over his face to avoid being identified if caught and needs to get away.
Yup, or that they can identify you when wearing a full face helm. Or know you stole something when nobody was looking. In reality 99% of crime wasn't caught. That's a big reason why punishment for crime was as severe as it was back then, because it was so unlikely to get caught unless you you got caught and apprehended in the act or robbed your neighbour who finds out or something like that.
A great video, very informative. Looking forward to the release. BTW I loved the original combat system. Frustrating at first, very rewarding later. Let's not forget the soundtrack, it was fabulous in the KCD 1. Looking forward to what they have to offer in number 2.
Este año esta increible, Frostpunk 2, Manor Lords y ahora Kingdom Come Deliverance 2...ufffff
From what I've seen and heard, there seems to often be a consensus in various circles that gunpowder was brought over from the East through trade and Mongol invasion both - but endless European wars saw that technology being developed at a far greater pace than in China, who'd often go through centuries at a time of (relative) peace, without a need to seriously innovate to get a leg up over their neighbors. It wasn't a necessity that came up until European gunboats were blowing through junkers and European infantry was slaughtering Qing dynasty soldiers in one-sided fights.
And well, you all probably know the history of the Boxer Rebellion and Opium Wars.
Yall should look into the hussit wars it will definitely help you understand the why of the guns a bit better
Consider my preorder secured!
I loved the combat so much. It is really satisfying when both henry and the player "get good."
HELL YES!!!
I'm excited đ
I wonder if youâll be able to transfer over your choices and gameplay from the first one to the second one. It would be so cool to see all the outcomes at the start of the second one.
Jk I heard him say you wonât be able to. The choices should still be transferred over like mass effect
Seems like events will be portrayed backwards historically. The key figure that attacked Skallitz in first game and killed Henry's parents was actually killed in Kuttenburg a year before in real history. So the sequel seems to cover events that historically occurred before the first game.
Really looking forward to it. First game was fun and I enjoyed playing it with my older sons. Look forward to playing this one at the end of the year.

This game ws so much fun, the monk quest i literally spent days trying to do it right
I would definitely love to know how they will do a combat progression system, while i understand that Henry is not a master will the progression we made remain in some sense?

Can't wait for it. KCD Masterpiece. I hope for VR mode too.

Will you be making a a complete playthrough? Would love to watch it
My guess is
Henry and Hans ride out to kuttenberg for the intro, they get ambushed by Toth, lose everything, and that gets the plot rolling and explaining why we lost everything from the first game.
Losing the skills is going to be harder. Sure, a near death experience and a looong healing process could help justify de-skilling but I kinda hope they donât make you regress all the way.
First game is currently on a 90% sale on the ps store until the 25/04
I've said it before, KCD is one of my favorite games. It is second only to Daggerfall, for me. And I owe all of that to you, Danny. I was there watching when you first started talking about this experimental immersive medieval sim RPG. From the time you started making videos about it, to the time it actually released felt like ages lol.
So, here's a list of my expectations. (I might regret this, but, stay with me)
1° Make Henry at least competent in this game. I don't want to spend the first 20 hours of this game having to learn swordplay and stealth again. Please give us more wiggle room from the start!
2° If we will become a Knight in this game, like full on knighthood, let us be able to recruit our own squire or something. I felt that we needed more companions in the first game, so I think that would be fire.
3° The focus is on the story, right? So give us more ways to actually finish this story. Different endings maybe? Ending slides for the minor plots along the way? I want less linearity in this tale, more modular elements, or something.
If I think of something else I will add it in the comments below.
The first game was my favorite game ever! I cannot wait for the second.
This has HUGE potential to be my game of the year. Iâm going to enjoy the role playing aspect of mining my own ore and crafting it into an awesome sword. Hopefully we can also craft our own armor, and create different styles. (crude, noble, etc.)
Fire arms were introduced in Europe during the Hussite wars in Bohemia.
I remember watching the trailer of AC2 in 2008 and thinking to myself "This game is going to be a classic". I am getting the same feeling here after watching this trailer.
i hope the graphics are way better especially during rainy weather
I played the first game on hardcore mode. Super difficult at first, but by the middle of it I coated my swords with poison and poked my way through the ENTIRE bandit camp you are supposed to just "escape from" at night. It kinda broke the game at first, but eventually it let me go back there with the army and there were still some people there, and I was like WHATTTT
I like how this video is just you going over what the devs went over
I'm currently playing the first one right now and I'm reminded by how beautiful it is and how incredible the story is. Best forests I've ever seen and I love the open world. The story is fantastic. I do wish I could turn the food and drinking off and that bows had reticles but this is an incredible game
seen the announcement trailer then seen you did a video, figured i found the first one here why not watch you on the 2nd.
Love medieval games and out of all of the medieval games Iâve played so far. Mount right after this
Itâs come full circle I found out about this game whilst watching ESO KCD BETA and now here we all are people itâs coming !!
He better become a knight or lord.

Can be a relaxing side activity đ
Would love ot if they had lancing but they probably won't have thatđą
I hofe they have worked on the RPG aspect. The things I missed the most were chileds, seasons and field work.
