North Macedonia winning the jury votes in 2019 was THE moment nobody expected
Really? She's one the best Macedonian singers, she participated in the contest since 2004 as a backup vocal.
@@hipotenuza5663 Nobody was complaing about her winning, but the song wasnt even expected to win at all, so everyone was really happy she won it
@@lunar4614not everyone actually. The song was awful and I would say most people were not happy considering how low she scored in the televote. This example shows how out of touch the jury are.
We'll see you again in another 40 years Switzerland!
Nemo's ability to move from opera to rap and even R&B, moving non-stop on stage, is phenomenal. Imagine if you were honest judges, you too would have voted for him.
The judges voted the best this year.
The honest judge's job was done well.
нет не выбрал. И вокал записан заранее
@@nikitagordey8286Say that to Madonna 2019
@@nikitagordey8286bro imagine being so good at singing that people think it’s prerecorded 💀
That’s a huge compliment to nemo
I fully agree. A big part of comments like to say they prefered Croatia, sure the ambiance it throws is amazing but otherwise I think Switzerland is just better overall, as you said so strong in many things, many moments and definitely delivers the chills as well when 'being at the top of the world' hits and their voice goes crazy. They deserved their win imo, avoiding being sucked by the sometimes too high-intensity-driven televotes (although Switzerland was tied for 2nd in televotes btw)
The viewers probably won't reacted the way they did if heshe wasn't dressed as flamingo with skirt and waving that flag. If heshe is non-binary why man dressed in woman's clothes?
Switzerland 2024 is the highest scoring jury song ever with an average if 10.1 points per country(10.4 if you excluded croatia for blanking them) which smashes tattoo's record of 9.444 per cpuntry last year
I thought nemo got an average of 9,86486486486486… per country
@@logi-a You are counting the ROW vote, they only do Televoting.
Thank God for the juries! ❤️
Jury hands down have better taste, basically no bad or undeserving song here
the last 4 years jury winners > last four years tele vote winners (tbf i like måneskin and gjon tears equally but ive listened to gjon tears more)
Wait nemo got more jury points than loreen?!?!?
Yup, and the highest possible jury points in history when you take it in percentages or average per country!
Yes, they did
I hope Macedonia🇲🇰 will come back next year...
Tamara was absolutely incredible, her voice is amazing
Please Macedonia come back with a boom
Macedonia won't return, singers don't want to participate. Famous Macedonian singer was offered to participate, she refused. After watching this year's finale, she said she did the right decision.
Btw, after the competition, she attended an event where she sang the anthem. She didn't knew the lyrics. After that, no-one wants to go to her concerts.
How do you know before 2016 who won in the jury and televote?
This year the Jury saved us from desaster
Yeah that country could be the runner-up without jury.
@@theworldofbms7923And that too barely, it could've won....it would've been hella awkward
If Croatia had won, it would not have been a disaster, but justice.
@@KK-wy4nj yeah any country would have saved us in that regard. I wish crotia got more Love from the Jury, true Winner
@@KK-wy4njIsrael was 13 points away from winning the tele, who knows how everything would’ve turned out if juries were never a thing
how did the jury give only 6.23 average rank to denmark
2013 full results never released
What happend to '20?
contest was cancelled because of COVID :(
both 2023 and 2024 jury winners...
i think people are throwing their money for no reason
It’s because the semi finals are now 100% televoting so there’s less songs in the final that are good enough for jury points hence why Switzerland got so many points
How is possible that 5th place of AUDIENCE of 1000000 people be winner...??? Just because of decision of jury of few people..
All logical answers are welcome... Please.... Just talking about Facts... / not music taste
Will YOU give gold medal someone on Olympic games if it is 5th...??? Think about it...
Not even 1 - 3 place...

The basis for a Eurovision Winner has been 50/50 televote and jury for years. It just so happened that the Juries enjoyed Nemo’s performance and song that it was enough to give him the win (rightfully so) regardless if he was 5th in the televote or not , it doesn’t take someone smart to figure that out. Comparing this to the Olympics is so dumb as both have different ways of finding a winner 💀🤦🏾
2016 2019 2021 2022 😢😢😢
That sucks 2016 2019 sorry
Juries >> Televote
Televote >> juries because in the end it's the song that people would want to listwn to the most, the song that truly united people.
I still want juries, but with like half the current power lol
Televote winner won in 2021, 2022 though
First learn how to use > and
@@theworldofbms7923 yeah it did, sadly
@@35kaassoufleesopdebank yeah my bad awith the >< sorry, and Tatto is NOT better than Cha Cha Cha, not a chance. You heard the public that night.
They gotta make the televote less powerful! Make it like 65% jury and 35% televote because all of these songs are better than the televotes favourites for every year except 2024.
That is just stupid. Why would we even need to vote then when our votes wouldnt even matter.
No I disagree. Make it at least 60% televote and 40% jury. This way we get value for money we spend on voting, but there's still a quality control. AND make the juries bigger and with musicians from MANY different music genres! Rock, metal, classical, rap, pop, jazz and so on. I also wish they could put some extra value on songs which are written and produced by the artists themselves. (Yes I have Baby Lasagna in mind here but I'm sure there are more of them)
The paying voting audience unites people when they vote democratically, for the winner. The jury divides people when they take that democracy away from them. If there was no jury and the jurors had play at Eurovision with no jurors, would they play to please the audience or their jurors to win. The voting audience are the true jury.
If there will be no jury, western Europe may forget about winning the contest. There were reasons to return jury voting and audience should respect that.
But that's undemocratic@@RaffGoodman
@@ivanmarosevic742 that is song contest, not a presidential elections.
Televotes mostly go to the more fun songs with a great performance but the juries pick the impressive songs with good vocals. Juries are needed because they make the competition more suprising
politics and politicians are one thing when they lie and play games. Musicians live in the real world and have to connect with an audience and not lie to them like politicians@@RaffGoodman
Tbh just abolish the jury and only let the public vote decide who wins
No.
Then stupid songs will be in higher position like Finland this year
@@azrazimov2997 and more and more joke entries will be sent. It'll be like the 00s again. What needs to be done is to increase the jury size and diversity.
@@azrazimov2997 ☠️ good, better.
Cha Cha Cha into Croatia win this year Eurovision would be peak
@@tonyttt31👍
Nemo getting the most jury points in History ❤️❤️🥹
They didn't Portugal 2017 got more
@@ESCGiorgio sorry, wasn't attentive))
Nemo deserved🎉
@@ESCGiorgioBut back in 2017 42 countries were competing, so Nemo got the highest percentage of the total Jury points
Wonder how much this got to do with the disqualification of Joost Klein. The points the jury awarded him on friday had been redistributed, but we'll probably never know exactly how.
