Poilievre calls Sean Fraser the "most incompetent immigration minister in Canadian history”

  • The Canadian housing crisis continued to dominate discussion during question period in the House of Commons on Monday.
Conservative Party of Canada Leader Pierre Poilievre went toe-to-toe with Canada's Housing Minister Sean Fraser, assigning him a rather ignominious position in Canadian history.
During the debate in the House of Commons, Poilievre said in his opinion "[Trudeau] picked the most incompetent immigration minister in Canadian history, and put him in charge of housing."
Fraser shot back at Poilievre, saying "[Conservatives] get antsy when they're confronted by their actual record. Let's take a look at what he actually got done: Only six affordable housing units across the entire country - lost 800,000 more. Zero new apartments."

Sean Fraser was in charge of the Dept of Immigration as Canada accepted 1.2 million refugees during his tenure. The provincial Premieres told him and Trudeau they could not take any more in. They did not listen and we still have too many people coming into Canada. The effect on the supply and demand of existing homes and rents has resulted in massive price increases for both. So now they made Fraser the Minister in charge of housing? The Liberals say they will build 3.9 million new homes, including rental units by 2031. Not a chance in hell they can reach that number in 7 years. First off governments don't build homes. Investors, developers and the trades build homes. If the economic conditions are not right they don't build unless it is on contract. Now the Trudeau Liberals are trying to get involved in homes, and apartment building in Canada. They have not got a clue on how to do it as home and apartment building construction has always been a provincial/municipal jurisdiction in Canada.

I'm 50, Canadian born and bred and I've never seen such turmoil and felt so embarrassed to be a Canadian. I used to be liberal but they've proved they know nothing about running a country except running it to the ground. The constant excessive spending by the PM for frivolous vacations and expenses is a slap in the face to ordinary hard-working Canadians. The Canadian dream isn't to rent or live paycheck to paycheck. Yep 👍 - pay-up pierre - you should've been smarter and been one of those awesome canadians in the panama papers 😆
Clearly you made some poor life choices in the marketplace of ideas 😔
Well - the struggle gos on - time to pull yourself up by the bootstraps 🤔👍😆

I went to school hungry, my mom got $ 26 baby bonus for us two twins and now poor people get nearly $700 a month per kid and free daycare, free dental, free housing benefit, free woker benefit, free prescriptions, free free free!! Why I have zero medical care? Zero doctors in my community? Why do some get so much and some get absolutely nothing?
