      It was last year for this one. Been sitting on the footage forever. A couple of them went out last weekend but I couldn’t make it. Hopefully next time.

    This is an old video I forgot to release from last year. Thanks to my buddy George for giving us a peek at his home on wheels.

    Sorry for the audio. I had a mic on the camera but the sound is sub-par.

    Really like this setup! What make model is the bed rack? Looks like it will work with my diamondback bed cover.

    Nice video. I am so torn between this and the Ikamper, but for the price I am not sure there is anything to debate over. My only concern is the shell looks super flimsy. Do you have concerns of breaking on that thing?

    • @georgefotopoulos007
      @georgefotopoulos007 Před 3 lety

      Too thin of a shell never crossed my mind. I don't know the spec between the two, but seems the IMC SMC (In mold color sheet mold compound) fiberglass shell on the Alpha seems a well suited thickness. It does flex some when opening and closing.

  • @SouthernComfortOutdoors

    How’s the mattress in the Alpha II? I’m thinking of changing over from my Roam to go to a hard shell. Just not a lot of reviews on the smaller Alpha. Thanks!

    A tent is still a tent, even a nice tent. Still loving my home built M-105A2 offroad trailer camper I can secure and leave to explore and have a warm, dry 8" mattress, kitchen, shower, self contained rolling castle

    nice video, I have the same tent, this week was the first time using it and you seem to able to close yours really quick and easy. I have to fight with mine to get it the last 6-8". Was yours always easy to close or did it get better with time? Other than closing it, I love the tent.

    • @georgefotopoulos007
      @georgefotopoulos007 Před 3 lety +1

      Hey there Bruce. No issues on getting hung up on closing. Do note I don't keep anything in the tent. I can see if you were to keep your sleeping bag in there that it might take a bit of a fight the last few inches to close.

    • @87toyhighlux
      @87toyhighlux Před 3 lety

      @@georgefotopoulos007 thanks, with or without one bag inside it’s really hard to close. I can get it to where it is about 1/4-1/2” from fully closed and that’s about it.

      @@georgefotopoulos007 I have a soft cover and I like your bed rails what mounts did you use so that they can be installed with a tonneau cover

    • @georgefotopoulos007
      @georgefotopoulos007 Před 3 lety +1

      @@JohnBin603 They are custom 2 pcs. One simple but thin plate to fit under the tonneau and bring outside some mounting points. Then a boxed unit (for strength) to mount the rail arms (Frontrunner) that kick up to the rails (Frontrunner). I wish I could post a pic here. The vid with this explanation should help.
