The Luo are diasporic(at least 20million spread out) and settled thousands years with skilled warriors(e.g Owiny) through conquest, intermarriage and assimilation e.g Luo-Suba in Kenya, Tanzania and Luo-Babito in Uganda with tendencies for large families thanks to history of polygamy in the past like all other AFRO groups .

Could the suba and kisii people related? The word amang'ana is shared
Yes but more related to Jogirango/Jowaswetta who live in Migori Suna, Homabay and even Tanzania... Jogirango came from Mugirango and got mixed up with Luo and now speak Luo waswetta also were kisiis but mow speak Luo.
There is such a word in luhya also.

This is good news if we have brothers in zambia

@@princessnyangi3098 We knew this information for years that there are Luo in Zambia that is why Milton Obote although being a Lango not a Luo cheated us and was looked after very well with his son Akena when he sought refuge in Zambia. Obote was our enemy - he caused the death of so many Acoli but he together with Langi men pretended that they are Luo. Just like many are trying now.

Are the Jo Wategi like the Abasuba in Kenya? They are not pure Luos.
Yes they are. They are just like the Abasuba of Kenya.
how many luos in tanzania?
Tanzania Luo 3-4 million Population(including Luo-Wasweta,Luo-Mukisero etc) . Kenya Luo 4-5 million population . Luo- Alur in Congo 2-3 million .
North East Congo Luo Alur . Eastern Central Africa Republic and South East Chad Luo-Alur , Luo-Acholi , Luo-Langi . Sudan and Lower Egypt Luo-Shilluk, Luo-Anuak, Luo-Pari, Luo-Thuri, Luo-Balanda, Luo-Jor Chul,Luo-Lawo . South West Ethiopia Gambella/Eritrea Luo-Anuak(Luo-Anywaa) .
The Luo of Kenya are an amalgamation of the Luo-Acholi, Luo-Alur, Luo-Padhola ,Luo-Jonam ,Luo-Langi of Uganda and other groups in Kenya such as the Suba , Luhya and to some extent Kuria and Kisii .
@@papd3532 yes Luo of Kenya are a mix therefore just called luo (likely same for Tanzania Luo) - the language is the uniter. Reason everybody who speaks luo is Luo. You might find that even in Kenya dialects are different. If you go to place like S. Sudan, the Dinka, Nuer speak Luo (slight variation in it which is normal given Arabic background - even one in Kenya has a lot of influence.. ) which makes entire SS almost Luo country ✔️
