Lango, Karamojong, Teso and Turkana are the same ethnic group. Acholi people refer to the Karamojongs as "Lango Dyang". Langis are Luo speaking but not Luo. Teso people refer to the Karamojong people as their uncles. There are some Luo people in Ethiopia, there is the Alur people who descended from Gipir, and Acholi's in North Uganda and South Sudan from Labongo, as some of the descendants continued looking for greener pastures, others settled in present Tororo bcoz their leader had a big ulcer wound on his leg (Adola), hence Jopadhola, others continued to present Kenya and even Tanzania near Lake Victoria called.Jaluo. Luos are very influential people. Those around them tend to speak their language or some of it. Including adopting their names. Check out the traditional dances.

According to my ancestors, us Monyjang and Naath came from Israel and settle in North Sudan. There were many migrations let by different priests. After living in Dongola (Sudan) to moved to Khartoum area and lived there for centuries. And around Middle Ages, they began to migrated to South Sudan to fulfill Isaiah 18.

Parwich is not in lango, and the langi moved from karamojong to lango region and dropped their original language called Ateker in favour of the luo language. The luo from Sudan came through Nebbi and the one's who came from their was giving and labongo. Alur descended from Gipir and the Acholi from Labongo. But others who moved with them formed the Bachope in Bunyoro kitara kingdom, Japadhola in Tororo, Jaluo in Kenya and other ruminant moved as far as Nigeria and many other countries. Others moved back to Sudan like the shilluk then back into Uganda again in the Eastern part of Uganda as of his story. So he started his Story very far. Good to see a professor here. In a different video much related to this, someone commented that the name Pharaoh came from the word 'Rao' which is the luo term for buffalos that roamed in the nile up in Egypt and was given to a kind who was dark and huge like the buffallo. In addition that it was only after the migration started and them getting lost in the desert, that many settled in Sudan naming Khartoum from the word 'Kar tuom' which means to fetch as it was where they could fetch water. Much as all this is heresay, it is not worth considering that Moses was adopted into the Pharaoh's house and no one suspected he was a jew until he killed the egyptian (according to the Bible) which assumes that he physically must have appeared no different from the egyptians. In the same manner, Jesus was hidden in Egypt after his birth during the killings of the first borns (according to the Bible once again) and for some reason they simply couldnt find him. Again, all of it might b assumption, but coupled with such evidence and the fact that Ethiopian Jews are officially recognized as Jews even by the current state of Israel, I'd really like to know what ur take is from a learned perspective and if possible also just as a personal opinion.
      .
Personally I agree with the history we were taught that Luo's originated from Bahr el Ghazel in Sudan, but evidence has just made me wish to dig deeper and id like to get a secon opinion from an academic giant such as yourself.
