  • This is the Grayguns trigger upgrade for the HK P30 V1 Light LEM. It is one of, if not the best trigger I've ever felt on a handgun, especially a non-1911.
    It's called the "Heckler & Koch Reduced Reset Carry Perfection Package" on their website. They delivered as promised.
    Amazing work from an easy to deal with company, highly recommended.

    Love the video and I appreciate the time you spent doing it. Your excitement jumped out the video.
    The reason it was a 7 pound trigger was because you have a V3 the V1 comes with a 4.5 trigger pull. I currently have one. The gray guns package is meant to reduce the trigger reset as you discussed. However it’s good to know if you have the V3 it also reduces the 7 pound trigger weight

  • @clint4237
    @clint4237 Před 3 lety

    You mentioned that it is now way better than your buddies Gen 5 Glock...of course it is. :) I have a Gen5 Model 45 and the triggers still suck the big one, as they always have. I put the Gray guns flat trigger on my P30L, along with the reset reduction kit, and I love it. Makes the double-action shot much easier. Definitely no 1911 trigger, but as good as it gets otherwise.

  • @justanothernoobe

  • @hasson224
    @hasson224 Před 4 lety +1

    I think Maximus needs to hold more guns. I have had two trigger jobs from Grayguns, and I just received my second back on a P30L LEM. This video is hyped quite a bit, because while I am happy with my trigger job, the break fails short of the three Kris Sphinx pistols I have owned, and my Walther PPQ with an APEX trigger has a shorter reset and a lighter trigger than my P30 LEM after the Grayguns trigger job. I am not saying Grayguns does not do good work, or that I am not happy with my P30 LEM, but most gun owners will not feel the work is worth the $395. Listening to this video makes it sound like a Grayguns trigger on an HK is the holy grail of triggers, which it is not. If you want the best trigger, get a striker fired PPQ with the APEX trigger, or even get a HK VP9 which is quite good in it's own right (I have one of these too). If you like a hammer fired pistol, then get a Sphinx or an HK P30, but know the stock HK trigger will definitely need work. Want the best of both worlds? Then get a P30 with the LEM CH V4.1 kit, and have Grayguns put all the parts in. Just remember to ALWAYS get a MEDIUM or HEAVY TRS trigger rebound spring, or else your trigger will be slow to reset.

      The Triggerati ya, it's expensive, but really fun haha. And now HK parts offers a drop in reduced takeup part for this trigger which just reduces that initial "safety" takeup.. pretty epic

    • @maximusjoseppi5904
      @maximusjoseppi5904  Před 6 lety +2

      the p30 LEM with the grayguns upgrade is a much better gun if you plan to have just 1 gun and mainly shoot that gun. it takes a little getting used to with its unique trigger system but once you do, its way better. the vp9 is easier to be good with right away. so it depends if you want to just pick a gun up and shoot it and maybe carry other guns too or if you focus most of your time focusing on one gun.
      p30 is also more money, if that sort of thing matters to you?

    • @maximusjoseppi5904
      @maximusjoseppi5904  Před 5 lety +3

      Yes I typically carry striker fired guns, not because the triggers are better but because they are more consistent and I like to carry multiple guns.
      I mentioned in the video, this is an amazing trigger and better than any of my striker fired guns but it's very unique so unless you only shoot this trigger or at least the vast majority, it's tough to get very good with it.
      It's easy to be good with a striker trigger though and they all transfer between each other even if some are better than others.
      Hope that clears up what your question

    I have 2 P30’s a P30 .40 V3 and a P30L 9mm V1, For My EDC I use the P30 .40 V3 (just picked up the p30L V1 light LEM) I was planning on going thru quite a few rounds and possibly sending it to Lazy Wolf for a trigger job that costs almost as much as the firearm and god knows how long of a wait, 4-6 months? And get into some local compition shooting. I know Rick Holm used to do the HnK’s at gray guns, not quite sure when you got yours done if he did it, but I see his name the most for trigger jobs being done right and reliable.. It was drilled in my head NEVER modify the trigger on your carry gun. What’s are your thoughts? On gray guns currently, and given criminal justice systems in the United States and Civil Court System can be very brutal and uneducated if a situation ever did happen where you needed to pull your trigger on a modified firearm. Another example, a Mark 23 would be a poor choice for CC for several reasons, as it’s very large, (for most longer to draw) and even tho in some aspects it’s close to several “defensive” guns, the fact that it’s labled an “offensive” weapon, they would try and eat you alive in court, even if your actions were 1000% justifiable just my opinion. I also live in IL, not Texas lol

    • @maximusjoseppi5904
      @maximusjoseppi5904  Před 6 lety +5

      It's perfectly fine to customize your carry gun however you see fit.
      If you do your research properly, you will see that any argument about the type of gun or caliber used was NEVER a lead argument and never had any bearing on the outcome of the case.
      It's just something they can throw into their case if you already have done very sketchy shit and have fact based evidence against you.
      The only thing you shouldn't do is make a gun not drop safe or make a trigger so light you might set one off by accident.
      Other than that, carry whatever you want, in any caliber you want, with any paint scheme you want, with any trigger you want.

      Yanel Echemendia Cabrera so I just ran both the p30 and vp9 through a training course back to back. I can tell you that the vp9 is easier to be good with but the p30 with the grey guns upgraded LEM trigger could be better if you trained with it a lot.
      So if you want to just grip it and rip it, vp9. If you want to get technical and devote most of your time to training with one gun, the p30.
      But only if you got the greygun upgrade, if both are stock, I'd take a vp9. The trigger is just much better on the vp9 not to take. But again, greyguns makes the p30 trigger better but it's almost 500 bucks..

      IMO that's crazy, a buddy spent $900 on his P30, I spent $750 for my P30LS V3 law enforcement package, extra mags and night sights and I still wouldn't put another $400 into and wait anywhere between 4-8 weeks it when I can put $100 into the kit, get it within a week and do the work myself. Yeah it voids the warranty but I'm halfway through the HK armorers course so I'm not worried about it, I work on all my guns. I mean if this guy wants to spend the money and is happy that's all that matters, it's his to part with, I will say Gray Guns does have good parts and services even though they are expensive. Same for the Sig SRT kit, Sig OEM kit is $45 and the Gray Guns kit is $99...go figure. I put a Gray Guns straight trigger and competition spring kit on my Sig MK25 and if your the least bit mechanically inclined and a gun guy you can install it yourself pretty easily...at least I thought it was easy and it does make a difference. The straight trigger for P-series Sig's is adjustable for pre and over travel and with the SRT kit it makes for the best DA/SA trigger there is on a Sig other than Legion series but those are Gray Guns triggers anyway on Legions. IDK about Armory Craft adjustable straight triggers but I didn't like the way they looked. The Gray Guns trigger on the P320 X-Carry and X5 are straight and the best striker fired trigger out of the box I've ever felt. Wether you spend more to send it to them or less and do the work yourself, you can't go wrong with Gray Guns service or products.

I just ordered the trigger kit from Grayguns and had it installed and I paid like $120 for the parts and labor total and I can already see a huge difference. I was too skeptical in doing the full on upgrade like you did because I wasn’t going to put anymore money into this gun since the stock trigger is dog shit. I was going to sell my p30 but glad I didn’t. Is there a way that you know of to remove the safety levers or get smaller ones? I hate how much the levers stick out. Bulky pieces of shit. I just don’t think it’s worth losing money by selling it and buying the V1.
