This is a great upgrade, I put it in my P30 LV1. I initially didn’t use the lighter spring that came with the kit, but after installing it, I did notice a cleaner brake. LEM is life now, soon it would be my duty pistol, I just need to find 6 more factory 20rnd mags. Thanks for all your great content, and keep it up.
After fence sitting for a year, I finally got my kit today. I could probably do it myself, but there would be much cussing and stress-my eyes are shit with those small parts. Luckily, a buddy was an armorer in the Marines. Gonna drop it off to him tomorrow. Thanks for the videos.
I really am glad in some ways that this was my first gun. Mastering the trigger was no easy task especially with how little I used to go to the range back then, but after I've done so it really honed my skills with trigger control with other pistols as well.
I've got about 300 though mine since the installation of the kit, it's a p30L v3 no safety. I totally agree with your comments. Looking at the kit, prior to install, cost seems way high. After install, I'd say it's for sure worth it. Thank you again for bringing this kit to my attention!
I installed the kit on my P30 V3 and I agree about the firing pin block spring. I had planned to install it but thought that the difference wouldn’t even be noticeable and wanted to keep it as is and I still love it.
I bought my P30SK v3 largely because you're a HK guy and I respect your opinions. But the trigger sucked and I couldn't stand it. I sent it to GG. I wasn't concerned about the cost - I just wanted the trigger job done and done right. Sorry I'm not handy like you. I expect to get it back pretty soon and am really looking forward to it. These HKs are outstanding quality and I don't collect guns, I just want a CC gun that will be there for me if ever needed. I'm a lefty and the HKs offer ambidextrous controls, Thanks for your videos.
Thank you for Part 1 and this video too. I purchased a HK P30sk V3 with safety recently but haven't shot it yet due to the COVID shutdown and ammo shortage. I didn't research it as much as I wished I had. Knowing what I do now, I would have purchased the LEM trigger version. I've read so many reviews where owners have criticized the trigger, that I don't need to waste ammo to find that I agree with them. After hearing your 1000 round review, I am sure that I want to do this upgrade. I don't necessary need to know how it shoots stock. I watched the install video and was somewhat intimidated by what I saw. My gun knowledge and experience is novice level at best. Unfortunately, there are not really any true "gunsmiths" in my area and I can't afford to pay Grayguns $355.00 for the install. I'm not mentally or physically challenged. My gunsmithing confidence is my challenge. So, what is the worst thing that could happen if I don't put it together correctly? Will it just not go back together OR can it go back together and misfire and injure me?
Did the GG kit to my P30 V1, changed out the FPB spring to the GG light, and changed it back out before the trip to the range. I think the stock FPB spring on the V1 combined with the GG kit creates a fantastic combo. It chops the reset way back but also seems to clean up the take up. I like the trigger no much more than a VP trigger. Worthy upgrade!
I had been waiting for months. Got an in stock email but I was asleep and they sold out. Since then I checked randomly one day and they had some. I was going to order two but I changed my mind. Now you're making me regret it. Now it's going to take several months before they'll have them in stock again.
I have a P30L LEM V1. I'm thinking of going down the GG route to shorten the reset. What's a CDA LEM 4.1? Theres another option that's DA/SA LEM. Not sure which one to select.
billdncn How did you get a safety model (LS) with Light LEM? Was it a special run for a shop? HK doesn't list any SKUs with LEM + safety. Yours sounds like the ideal set up!
Did you notice an improvement in accuracy with this trigger kit? I love my p30s so far, but I’m definitely not as accurate as I am with my beretta 92s or my Glocks. I’ve got a little over a 1000 round through my p30sk and 600 with my p30l. The pre travel and reset don’t bother me all that much, it’s just the break is not very smooth. I’m going to add a match sear in both, and either this kit or all lighter springs

I always felt the HK45 trigger was good to go, but if you feel it needs it, then it should be a solid addition. But I have heard the reduction of the trigger travel in the HK45 series is much less as compared to the P30 series.
I just called them and was told they’re about to release some for guns with safety, and the ones without safety are in production right now. He said maybe a month.
I like the vid within 11 seconds 🤣 but it’s V4 P Series or Die for me!! When are you going to get on IG bro?! I changed the light firing pin Block on my P2000SK and it changed the pull for me on the SK drastically. When I put it in V1 configuration for me it felt a bit too light for carry... it feels damn near identical to a VP9/Glock trigger for me with the LFPS & factory TRS and coming from primarily training on a striker fired firearm it helped the transition be a lot smoother
We'll see about IG. As for the standard vs light FBS I think I'm going to stay with the stock heavier unit when installing these kits moving forward. In the V1 I currently have the standard spring.

100% agree. In a strange way it's a perfect beginner pistol, and a perfect expert's pistol.

I installed this kit on my P30S. The entire kit and like it. The reset is shorter and the trigger pull decreased by a pound or so. Recommend it

I just received my GG short reset. How important is the Extended Sear Roll Pin and is this pin replacing the pin that goes threw the Control Latch?
That's not the pin you replace you're replacing the sear pin. I strongly recommend installing the full kit.
Do you have to run the 124 grain rounds through the p30l? I have almost 2000 rounds through mine and 90% have been 115 grain ball ammo.
No. You can run whatever after the gun is broken in on the 124gr or 124+p.

Not so much accuracy as consistency and speed if that makes sense. I don't have to worry about the SA reset now so my splits are consistent.

Yup I'm planning on adding 2 more P30's and both non-safety V3's......it's going to be a while before they get the triggers improved.

Which pin? Is it the pin holding all of the components in the frame that you knock out to replace the sear? Or the pin in the slide?

Yes 100% throw the factory trigger right in the trash. It’s shameful what they provide from the factory on that pistol
