I love this pistol. I have 2 of them. A black LEM and a grey V3. Both with Trijicon HD's. I think it's the best looking most comfortable polymer pistol in the world. The trigger is what most people complain about but I believe it is just an excuse. Never had any problem shooting my P30's or running them fast. Thx for giving the P30 some love. Cleaning this pistol it becomes obvious that the quality is first class. The slide is a work of art.

We all get a lot of satisfaction from being able to chew a massive hole in the x ring. I find that there are certain guns that I can do this with on a regular basis and a lot of them that produce targets like you got with this one. Those targets still represent fine shooting and are well within what you need to be able to do with a handgun. I have guns that I love that produce the exact same results you got there. I am really warming up to HK's myself.

i actually don't mind using my index finger for the mag release. i really enjoy that this gun has ambidextrous controls because i like to shooot ambidextrously. sometimes it just feels better in my left hand.
I own a few of both striker fired and double action single action hammer fired I train with both regularly I find that the more I shoot the double action single action the striker fired guns become slightly easier. Like you said just not a enough trigger time yet you'll get her down pat no problem cheers brother

I sold my p30 v3 like you have in your video and bought the p30 v1 Lite l.e.m version. I do like it better. It's still different feeling than a striker trigger. After i little getting use too, not long, it's a pretty nice trigger. I noticed the reset is shorter and all that take-up is like 1-2 lbs before the wall. That take up is basically like your safety since there is no trigger blade or external safety.
Can't you just buy the V1 trigger and install it?

How would you compare the p30 LEM to the VP9 with regard to the trigger, trigger reset and overall which of the two do you tend to shoot more accurately?

I just picked up the HK P30SK LEM (V1) and I am going to get the HK P30 LEM in a couple of weeks. I am a fan of DA guns for sure and the size of these makes the both carry worthy for me. Yes they are pricey but quality is worth the cost as I likely will never part with these.

Great review...don't worry about the grouping, I sure as the heck don't. If you hold that target up to your chest you'll see that their all good hits. Really shocked at the price differences between the models.

Good video KS. BTW the slide is made from nitro-carburized steel (nitrided), they then go back and add their proprietary blued finish. I looked for one in 40, but the 9mm version seems to be the prevalent offering. Oh well! LoL

Have you ever shot the LEM with grayguns short reset kit?
I have the model with the thumb safeties and the decocker.
I carry it cocked and locked.
The trigger guard and magazine release were sharp and scratched my trigger finger.
Simple fix, I used a fingernail file and carefully rounded all the sharp surfaces.

I have a P30 for my EDC and a P30L for my GTW... both are my faves. Trigger is different but once you get used to it, it's fine.

The rear decocker's location is a big advantage to if you carry cocked and locked.
On other guns such my FN
FNX 45, you can carry cocked and locked. But when you try to just take it off safe, it's easy to go too far and decock it instead of just taking it totally of safe.
To me this is brilliant.
I don't see when I would actually need to decock it as I will carry it like a 1911.
So the decocker is just a nice ad on not a detriment like most other da/sa with an external safety.
Nice review...their factory is pretty close to where I am. They are a lil on the high price side for me. Plus I'm like you I prefer a striker fired gun. I'm all over the place like you when it comes to a hammer fired gun.

i noticed you didnt fire anything in DA? if you carry that thing thats going to be your first round out of the holster. its defiantly harder to make the transition from DA to SA but its just the nature of the beast in that set up. good review and good shooting for being a striker fired guy!

To be honest, since I spend most of my time with striker fired guns, I prefer the single action pull and since I don't carry this I'm not as concerned with the double action. That said, the double action on the P30 really isn't too bad, though it's certainly heavy. Cheers!

Or get the LEM, the slack taken out of the trigger essentially makes it feel like a single action. Reset is fairly short as well. Edit

Kind of hard to do if there is no safety. This one does not have one. However they do make a version with a safety.

The P30 and P07 are similar in size and would probably carry about the same. I agree that the SK would carry easier and with the extended mag, it’s just about a full grip. Thank you and cheers 88!

Just kidding. I own one . Mines got the safety on it. I like the double action. The first pull is like a revolver. In a hart pounding situation I won't something that just isn't easy to discharge. I like HK reliable.

Fobus for the Beretta PX4 Storm Full size fits perfect. Repeated mag dumps without using the DA trigger? This lost my credibility. If you need to use a DA/SA pistol you WILL shoot the gun DA.
I ran the HK plenty of times in DA. I don’t always include that footage because most think it’s boring to watch. I don’t think I’ve ever had a request to show it until now. Thanks for the feedback though. Cheers!
I mostly run my single double guns in single action. in any situation where you need your firearm you're only going to pull that double action trigger once so you better train with the single when you think you're good enough with the double.
Next time you go to the range, shoot someone else's target 😂🤔
