  • In this video, I discuss the importance of deep breathing for the lymphatic system and lymphedema. She explains how deep breathing can stimulate lymph fluid movement and keep everything flowing and healthy. I provide step-by-step instructions on how to do deep breathing, emphasizing the importance of being in a relaxed position and focusing on breathing into the abdomen - both done in the sitting position and laying position.

    In so many of your videos it is very cool to see your mind visualizing the lymphatic system in the body as you describe your topic. Nerd that I am, I see the Krebs cycle during every meal. 🤓
    Because of you Kelly my knowledge of the lymphatic system has grown to something meaningful and useful. Thank you so much for your dedication to us.
    Happy New Year to you.

    I had an operation for cervical cancer and many lymphnodes removed in the pelvic and abdominal area. I am now - 5 weeks after - suffering from swelling in that same area. Is there any videos besiddes this one you would recommend? Thank you 🌸

    Hi Kelly, love the information. Question, say I am massaging my neck nodes downwards, when would be the best time to breath out, while messaging down, or in between motion? Or, should I breath I'm while massaging downwards?
    I feel like this could enhance this process if I do it correctly.
    Maybe I should ask, does breathing out create a vacuum, moving the fluid?

    Do you have any thoughts on percussion massage on light settings for lymphedema? I have seen some early success using the gun like you show the massage directions.

    Do you possibly know why deep breathing makes me dizzy? I do have POTS.

    How to get rid of swelling under neck? Is that lymph?

    • @CancerRehabPT
      @CancerRehabPT  Před 4 měsíci

      Sometimes! Swelling can have a lot of causes, so it’s best to get it seen by a local doctor- but if it’s lymph, I have plenty of videos showing how to help 🙂
