    I have a 2017, just wish climate controls were separate from the touch screen radio controls as in the RDX. Otherwise I love my TLX, but my heart is with BMW!

    I wish the TLX had the same interior room & rear legroom like Accord 4dr sedan, I just got an 2017 accord EX-L for that reason & I also wish that Accord had the TLX looks.

    I really like the TLX A-Spec. Beautiful car! If they had this A-Spec three years ago, I'd have one in my driveway right now. Maybe my only gripe is I wish it had some power increase over the non A-Spec models.

      Florida Maddogg The reintroduction of Type S for the 2020 redesign will be the TLX you’re looking for. Should be somewhere between 330-345 HP and beefier torque.

      Ben V weird, Acura rep I spoke to last week said that car wasn’t on the horizon at all guess we will have to see the rumor mill is churning up some interesting stuff though.

    Hey which is better buy 2.4 or 3.5
    Does 2.4 have enough power for big sedan like this

    I have test driven both of these cars. And both of them reflect the outline of the air conditioning vents directly into the rear view mirrors. How was this not noticed?

    great review, how about the generally hated zf 9-speed transmission in the prior years, did it get better?

      Yes much improved

    • @2laidragon
      @2laidragon Před 5 lety

      I’m glad they sourced the transmission from Europe because Honda/Acura is notorious for their unreliable transmission. All Honda’s transmission from the 2000’s have some kind of problems. I’m not surprised that even the company itself can’t trust their own design wholeheartedly. Look at the Honda 10 speed transmission, there are already lots of problems reported.

    Paul -- when was this shot? Had to be near the time of the Derby...

  • @patrickmichaellangan576

    The front end of this TLX (the only current Acura I like) is A LOT better looking than the one before. Oh, and I love hearing Lauren whine about her trademark rant of "NO LUMBAR!!!!!" No one else whines about that better than Lauren herself. Thank you, Lauren Fix!

  • @ShumsPublishingCorp
    @ShumsPublishingCorp Před 7 lety

    Looks can be subjective... My main issue with this car manufacturer is that, tweaks to this car (the 9speed transmission) should show the test of time to be considered reliable. The second is they not offering compelling discounts versus it's competition.

      Pizza Wala I got a 2017 tech V6 SH-AWD for $35,8k, deeply discounted. even the 2018 will be considerably less then competition.

      @ShumsPublishingCorp Před 7 lety

      It seems like the Acura dealers in my town and surrounding cities are giving me a bad experience. FYI, there are have been so many 2018s arrive in Canada before USA (and some are now on the road with their new drivers already!!)

  • @enriqueloft6350
    @enriqueloft6350 Před 7 lety +2

    Paul do you like this better then the Infiniti Q50s?

    • @paulbrian6667
      @paulbrian6667 Před 7 lety +5

      I think between the two choices you pose, my choice would be the Q-ship. There's nothing wrong with the Acura at all, but I think the Infiniti is a little more visceral in how it puts power down, and frankly, I kinda like the snarl. When I look at the styling of the two, the visual appeal tip goes to the Acura, but that's for other eyes as I'm on the inside, not the outside, as an owner. The Acura is a little softer in its visuals, with the Q more "cut" than rounded. Either will be a good choice that would leave the owner satisfied, but for me, it's about the driving in my final analysis, so you've got my choice! Which one are you leaning to?

    • @enriqueloft6350
      @enriqueloft6350 Před 7 lety +2

      Paul I like the Infiniti as well, and have owned one in the past. I always thought they had the best sounding V6 in the business. I was just concerned with the sound of the engine from the new turbos in the 2016-2017 engine. I have been told there is not enough engine roar, and like yourself I'm all for the drivers experience. I've heard Infiniti just released a new OEM exhaust so that should remedy the problem. That being said I will choose the Qship 50S. Thanks for the reply, love your reviews.

    Stepped up its game for sure... The A spec needs to offer a manual transmission. seriously! wtf!

  • @K03sport
    @K03sport Před 6 lety

    but to get the A-spec pkg, you HAVE to add the tech pkg bringing the A-spec total to $6.6k additional money. Why can't I get the A-spec dodads w/o the tech pkg stuff (I'm talking 4cyl FWD). Don't tell me a certain pkg is $X when in reality, it is actually $X PLUS $Y cause you can't have the pkg you want standalone, you HAVE to ADD another package. If pkgs are grouped like this, then group them together on the webpage/brochure, not tease w/the thought I can have a pkg (the 1 I want) all by itself. Acura isn't the only people to do this; I know Mazda and Nissan do this w/their sunroofs and/or Audio pkgs. Paul, I'll do the Acura over the BMW even though this vid is about a year old.

  • @chetthehoss
    @chetthehoss Před 6 lety

    Lauren (and Paul, to some extent), you guys DO realize that those exhausts are NOT 4 inches, right? Look inside, it's actually just a fixed finisher tip. The real exhaust is barely half that diameter and they are separate entirely. Kind of a cheap trick, really.
