If anyone watching this has an Impact, Huma make the BEST single shot trays. Put 2 of their regulators in a couple FX Boss's i had also. Great products!

I did notice when you tested it with that factory regulator, that it was doing an ok job, keeping the spread around 28-30 fps in a 40 shot string... I wonder what the shot count AND the spread would be now with the Huma regulator?!
I'm sure it will give a difference in numbers, making this air rifle super accurate.
In my set-up and specs, in an air arms rifle of mine, I am getting a spread of 14fps! In a 48 shot string! Which is rather impressive wouldn't you say?!

It is difficult to judge the factory numbers as when I tuned it properly the spread gets a lot less , I realized it came from the factory with the hammerspring overpowering the valve and getting inconsistent results , now I get a extreem spread between 11-18 FPS depending on the weather ( cold = more variation)
The Huma is a little bit better in my opinion then the stock one giving a few extra shots en some thighter spread but again tune is key .
If my original one works perfectly like it should the difference is to small to change it but if it’s breaks or creeps I will swap it for the Huma one

Helo, i'm interested to replace my factory regulator with huma air regulator since it's leaking now. My rifle is fx dreamline tactical bottle cal .177. As you described in the video that there are 3 pressure type. Which one is good for my rifle? So i can get high power and longe range target. I like to shoot in 100m. Can i choose the High Pressure one? Because in the future time i plan to change the caliber into .22 . Please give your best suggestion for me. Thanks my friend.

Q1 in FAC it between 100bar and 150bar
Q2 mine was set to 145bar in .22 Dreamline compact
Q3 the difference is the kind of bellvile washers they use the ones for extra high power are tougher then the higher pressure ones ect . and also the different way of stacking them . But to know exactly you can send Huma a mail and they will answer you in more details

Yes it’s , drain all the air and place the power plenum between the action block and bottle adaptor
Very good video. How ever, I´m very confused. Just bought a dreamline, and a power plenum. That goes between the cylinder and the gun right? What you are showing, is that a extra piece that you need for the "tank" And with the tank you have more options? Or is the piece you are showing the thing you need to be "linked" to lets say a divingbottle? Sry for silly questions, but I rather ask em then staying dumb.
No problem mate the setup is like this .
Action block - powerplenum - bottle adapter.
If you have a tube style Dreamline you don’t need the tube and can just put the powerplenum between the action block and the tube .
The bottle adapter gives you offcours the option to swap the tube for a carbon fiber tank .

But from what I see the Huma xl plenum is for te tube version not the compact
Which lubricant can be use instead of the huma one. I finally installed the huma reg in my Maverick and its taking a really long time to recover after each shot. I think its creeping too.

Hi, I have another question for you. According to the Huma gen 3 reg manual, the only difference between low, high and extra high power regs is the belleville washer stacks, is this correct?

Where does the valve sit in the dreamtac? I heard of the valve breaking in certain models. I have a dreamtac and I have a leak coming from the adjustment screw area
The valve is located behind the bottle adapter , I have about 2000 pellets true it in 22 and 25 . No issues .
If you have a leak at the adjustment screw of the reg you need to service it and put some new orings and grease

Ai , sorry to hear that 😣 . The best way to find out is with some leak detector spray ( local hardware store ) and spray it on all the possible connections .
Most likely at the bottle adapter or the gauges

Regarding the regulator: I am not super familiar with changing the configurations on the regs but if Huma advises to install 14 washers I would do as the intended.
Maybe there washers are a little thinner and behave differently then if you would install 12 🤔
Good camera work on the installation. It drives me nuts when I watch someones "how to" video on a rifle and it is like watching surgery from the bleachers. Looks like you want to go max power on your Compact. I understand that FX will be coming out with a power plenum for their Dreamline rifles. Are you going to be installing the power plenum on your Tac Compact?
Yes I am lucky enough to Abel to shoot this gun full power . I will be installing a power plenum as soon as it comes in the mail 😉

Difficult choice 🤔 the wildcat in my opinion I would choose more for hunting.
If you put the Dreamline in a chassis with monopod at the back then I would go for the that as a benchrest gun . Standaard they will preform these same

All the breech blocks are exactly the same so you should be fine . To be sure you can go to the website of FX and ask it on the support section . It is possible that there is a difference in hammer weight or spring
Is that the 14mm piston or the 16mm. I think the 16mm piston uses 14 spring washers instead of 12. Am I right? I have the maverick and I installed the huma reg with 12 spring washers and for some reason its still having some creep and taking a long time to recover after each shot.

I would advise you to contact Huma by mail to ask this as some regulator piston and washer sizes depend on different serial numbers. In the life cycle of the production FX something change certain components to improve there products

Nothing bad at all , they are just fine giving great results.
Look at it like a high end sports car , every thing is fantastic but there are a few after market accessories that give you that little bit extra performance.
Did u have to adjust the hammer spring after the installation?
You can just swap it and leave the rest like it is from the factory , your shots will be abit more consistent and you can maybe have a few extra per fill .

Yep , thickness of the belville washers . These days you have different thickness for different setups

I order the huma regulator for my maverick and the regulator body is a little wider that the amp regulatorI was unable to screw it in the gun and it is suppose to fit the maverick. Do you have any idea why could that be? Thank you.

For every bottle version if the Dreamline yes . For the tube versions it’s slightly different I think 🤔

I don’t own a crown sadly enough, so I can advise you on that .
So now you change regulator to huma regulator.what else will you change in a high end gun.

Some guys have had issues with these regs creeping and the Amp regs back on.
The creep in any regulator is caused by bad orings or no maintenance. If you take it apart service it they both should be fine
possibly but not everyone is willing to take it that far. My question is, what is the difference between this procedure and just replacing the guages themselves? Is there a benefit to replacing the washer and piston etc? My gun is brand new but I like the readings on the huma better than the FX. Do I need to replace the washer etc?
Could you get the EHP package and just use less washers?

Sorry I don’t really understand what you mean . For the Dreamline tactical compact you have to by the regulator for the bottle version . There are only 2 different regulators for the Dreamline.
1: the tube version ( for every Dreamline without bottle adaptor )
2: the bottle version ( looks like the one in a impact/crown/Dreamline)
I think I read somewhere that you are not supposed to engage the safety when the rifle is not cocked..
Hi, there is absolutely no harm in engaging the safety when the rifle is cocked. The safety is a mechanical lever that blocks the possibility to pull the trigger so it’s absolutely fine .
But what I thing you have heard is that you are not allowed to change the hammerspring setting when the rifle is cocked, this can inflict damage to you system

Whats the reason you change these regulators?
Sometimes people like to change them when they experience some regulator creep or want a regulator that cannot a little bit higher in regulator pressure. I am just making these videos to show how to install it

How much better is the huma regulator than the fx regulator
At the time of making the video the Huma regulators where superior to the original ones , but lately the AMP regs of FX also became very good . If you maintain the AMP reg well it is on par with the Huma

Huma air regulators are a quality product and some people would like to replace the original one of they are not happy with it . I just make the instruction video 😉
@@Airbuks I understand why you made the video, but I don't understand why some people want to change the regulator.
From what I heard some of the original regulators are have issues with creep and in some cases the Huma regulator eliminates that and there for will be more consistent
