The FX Dreamline Dream-Tact is one sweet airgun. Today we’ll look at the hammer spring adjuster along with the transfer port adjuster to see how they affect power. We’ll then take a look at a couple of settings at 50 yards to see which gives us the best results. Also new for this video is the Hawke Frontier 34 5-30x56 FFP SF, MOA Pro Ext. (30x), 34mm Tube scope. This scope takes things to a whole new level. It’s pricy, but good glass is always going to cost you. And, a gun like the FX Dreamline Dream-Tact should not be limited by subpar optics. We are going to have a lot of fun with this setup!

I’ve experienced the same phenomenon with my Dreamlines. I believe it’s the combination of low regulator pressure combined with high hammer spring setting that makes the transfer port setting seem to reverse. This is why airguns are so fun and challenging; the tuning process. Have fun.
Could it be the air isn’t becoming turbulent on medium like it was on high?? I’m looking at it like a cylinder head on a vehicle because that’s essentially what the transfer port is..
Possibly the restriction of air flow on medium give the valve more dwell time. I would increase regulator pressure and back off the hammer spring some. Also start on the high setting and tune for max target velocity.
Yes. That's why it is. They have to be happy together for them to work good. Together....
I'm sorry. I was also meaning to mention the regulatory.. need to adjust that ad well
Excellent review. I haven't heard anyone else covering transport in this capacity.
As always.........."FACTS not FLUFF "
👍🎯
I think it’s awesome what has happened to the pellet gun world. We can shoot pellets and slugs practically in the same hole most of the time when the gun is regulated. From the Avenger, Liberty’s, and up. Optics regardless are a HUGE plus.
Awesome Rick. You finally got your hands on an FX!
Rick that's a awesome PCP looking forward to see more from this Dream line ..
Great video! I absolutely love the FX Dreamline!

Thanks for your time and effort on this review Rick. I have the FX Dreamline Lite .25, 600mm barrel/DonnyFl using JSB 25.39gr and after many shots and tinkering I found mine really likes sending them around 800fps punching paper at 50 yds. I notice your rifle has the small power plenum added, I have one on mine also. I don't know how much it really helps in the over all scheme of things but I love how my Dreamline Lite makes those one hole groups, I also like the high shot count per fill. I'm having so much fun with this 'Lego' gun it kind of feels 'illegal'!
Great review and presentation by you - thanks
Lookin good 🤙
Good one Rick I have the same RIFLE .177 12FTLB though going to have to check that transfer port adjuster..🤔🤜
Good video, those flyers on the target are pellets with flaws in the skirt most likely. Your gun shoots wonderful, better than my FX.
I think until you increase the hammer and the reg pressure alot more , the transfer port on high losses velocity. Compare it to spitting with your mouth wide open. Love my dreamline st elite
I remember my dream tact compact having that same thing happening to it where the med setting seemed to give higher fps then the high setting 🧐
Maybe the transfer port is a "restrictor". High restriction to low restriction.
does it come with the new power plenum from factory? im trying to decide if i should get the new dreamline synthetic stock version
Do you need to remove any screw when receiving the gun from the shop new ,, someone told me there is one screw need to be removed located under slot where you insert the magazine , vertical inside gun body
Rick, I have the dream tact in 22 cal. It came to me tuned with JSB 18.59 gr pellets at 850 fps average at max hammer spring and high power. While experimenting with the High -medium-low I noticed if I set it to medium, I got over 900 fps??? And low dropped to 790 fps. So like yours My medium produces more power than the High power. My reg is set to 125. I have upped the reg to 175 and as low as 110, it the high and medium are always reversed. How can we contact FX about this issue?
Without a Barrel band its just a bench gun. Drop it you'll hot nothing lean on a tree touch the barrel miss target!
Speaking the truth right here. You have to treat most modern airguns like an egg if you don't want to knock them off zero. Dana at mountainsport air guns did a great multi part torture test on some higher end rifles. It's worth cheking out. If I remember correctly the Evol rifle came out on top.
These FX rifles are absurd though. I can't imagine blowing $2k+ on a rifle that doesn't perform optimally out of the box, and as you eluded to, are not very rugged. At all.
My BSAR10 SE is built like a tank. Never had a POI shift.
the manual says the rifle must be uncocked when adjusting the hammer setting
He is uncocking it if you look closely he’s doing the decock trick by pressing the trigger and pulling Back the cocking lever at the same time it basically uncocks the rifle.
? Do you understand how the airgun work, because I feel like this is my first airgun video would go
Better accuracy than the Redwolf?
Not yet. Maybe once I get more trigger time in and get it dialed in better. The .25 cal is an advantage for sure.
@@AirGunWeb I'll take the RedWolf HP 🎯💯
The scope is almost the same price as the rifle.
Reg is too low for high power
since fx started putting only the ultra light barrel system on the dreamline and crown they are CRAP just look at the barrel and your zero will move not to mention the harmonics in the fac versions , the groups at 30 yards are well over 1/2" with any pellet but the rifles with the reg barrel system are all one hole 30yd groups fx should be ashamed of that crap and they even make you buy a barrel band at an aditional cost rediculouse
