Nice video. One thing to consider with the staggered shocks is wrapping up the axle and wheel hop. GM has been using this method with leaf springs since the 68 camaro to help with wheel hop. You're right about the air shock twisting things but also consider the new trucks have links and coil springs.

I have the air shocks with a four-inch drop and really do not like the ride quality at all. I am going to switch to some lowered shocks with airlift slam air so if I do haul anything I will not bottom out. That is the convenience of the air shocks is that I can still haul some with the on board compressor that makes it nice and quick to air them up. I just feel like the "shock" part is not there. Just what I've noticed over the year of having them.

My 98 I did the flip kit with stock rear hangers and shock extenders. Front I cut one coil and the truck rides great handles great and nothing rubs. I am planning to add air bags to allow for heavier loads but am presently towing a trailer with about 100lbs. of tongue weight a few times a week without a problem

How big of a drop in the rear? I threw a flip kit on my 4x4. I had so much clearance I didn’t even have to notch it. I just installed the bump stop to the frame and I have to really jump heavy in the bed to get it to barley touch the stop

@Driven by Gears I have a 2003 suburban 1500 2wd. I did a 2” reverse level to even out with the front. I changed my shocks and struts( kyb excel g) used drop coils and shock extenders on the rear and just lowered a inch on the front by lowering the torsion keys(screws). The ride I great and slow speeds and even roads but once I hit the highway it’s terrible the front feels as if it’s hitting metal and bounces a lot and if my whole family in the suburban the rear seems to bottom out. What can I do to fix this and get the best ride possible?? I am waiting on some bell tech shocks and struts to arrive and I’m thinking of adding some sumo spring help with the rear, but the front I do not know what to do. should I add some lowering upper control arms? Or would raising the torsion keys up to stock help?? Please give me your input I would really appreciate it!! Thank you

I just lowered my nbs. I did a 2/6 drop. Now i get a vibration seems like its coming from the front left side but i don’t see anything rubbing. Mainly hear it on acceleration then it goes away. Also when i start it i hear a little bounce im the middle inside the truck. And idea what it might be?
