    Dr. Gary I wholly agree to your point about how a lot of people who do a lot of plastic surgery/botox/fillers end up looking the same. It's like they all morph into this "ideal" version of beauty standards. They loose their uniqueness or what separates them in a crowd. Like a cleft looks beautiful, a bulbous nose is interesting and a gummy smile might light up a room. As a plastic surgeon, how do you advise patients to retain their uniqueness while they ask for surgery/botox/fillers?

    I love Stephanie's bubbly personality! Also love Dr. Linkov's sense of humor (the Batman spin). I'm in my 50s and I have an advice for younger women: don't mess with your facial fat. As we age, we lose facial fat naturally. What makes people look younger is that precisely, that softness in our features. I wish people, specially us women, appreciate what our bodies are capable of, more than what our bodies look like. Aging will happen, no matter how much money people spend on products, surgeries, cosmetic procedures and all. It is a natural Law.

    • @dammar117
      @dammar117 Před rokem +5

      Very true, but...
      Aging sucks, like many other natural laws (periods, eating other animals, poop, decay, etc.).

Before I stopped I looked crappy and felt crappy and was a crappy person inside and out for eating murdered flesh from innocent animals. Dont blame society on your stupidity. Up until two years ago I still looked childish and was often thought to be 3-5 years younger. Now the childishness is gone and I look visibly different. My cheekbones are much more prominent and my face has less fat. ALTHOUGH I gained 2-3kg during that time. So yes, it is possible that it is purely natural based. 😅

Celebs are humans too except much wealthier than I am and so it's easy for them to get these procedures where they either look drastically different or something feels off but I cant put a finger to it. Laser can be used if gums cover too much of the teeth! In Miley's case the gum line looks more even and seems to sit closer to the roots but of course, gums can recede with age, aggressive brushing, and even non-removable wire retainers. For some people, their gummy smile results from the length of the bone behind the philtrum.

    • @IloveCamels335
      @IloveCamels335 Před 11 měsíci +5

      In my humble opinion there are youtubers such as Lorry Hill who are muuuuuuch better at their analyses than actual plastic surgeons. All it needs is an interest and an eye for detail and some personal experience with the procedures can help you catch them easily in others. Just like there are regular people knowing much more about health and nutrition compared to a doctor. We all have our gifts and subjects we are good at and know a lot about, not matter if we have a degree in that and/or if that´s our career or not.

    • @-cMc-
      @-cMc- Před 11 měsíci

      @I love Camels doctors aren't required to learn health and nutrition. A non professional can give the drama without having to sound clinical. And in a lot of ways they can provide entertainment. But surgery isn't fun and games. There is definitely a purpose for a surgeon to speak over someone who isn't licensed and practicing. A specialist can show us the possibilities and update us on new approaches and practices. They can talk about contradictory types of surgeries out there. And actually tell you the risks.

    • @angellike4344

      When did Stephanie say she thinks she's more qualified than a plastic surgeon??? She's clearly more knowledgeable about plastic surgery than the average person. And she is just giving her opinions. Why does that bother you so much? He agreed with most of what she said so.....?

    • @-cMc-
      @-cMc- Před 11 měsíci +1

      @Angel Like that's what she is doing. She is analyzing the work of an other surgeon. That's so cringe 😬. Bc a surgeon is who handles those procedures. I guess she does a decent job identifying some things. But it's weird and I wouldn't replace a specialist opinion with someone who doesn't have a degree in this stuff. But to be fair she's been on CZcams a lot longer than any specialist. So many are very new to hearing a surgeons opinions.

I told him I didn't want my nose changed appearance-wise and he said sure but we can easily tweek your nose and proceeded to talk about the ways they could change my nose. Thanks for mentioning this about lash growth serums and orbital fat disappearing. This happened to me, before I found out of the risk. Luckily, since my eyes were hooded and I'm now aging (49), it's actually been pretty helpful in keeping a young appearance, but I still would've preferred to have the choice BEFORE starting to use the serum in question. Another thing I learned along the way, is that they stop working after a while, and you kinda have to cycle them for them to keep working. I do 2 mos on, 2 weeks off & repeat.
