She has so much working in her favor from genetics, staying fit all of her life, access to endless facials, plasma pens, facial massage therapy, and face lifts that the rest of us do not. For her to push a skincare line knowing all of that is truly something else.
Cindy Crawford did the same thing, started a skincare line and sold it as though she'd never had procedures. But at least she came out admitted it later on. I confess that two years ago, I bought both their lines. I didn't know JLo had not admitted to anything or I wouldn't have given her my money. Both lines are pretty nice but you can get the same kind of skincare cheaper with K beauty lines.

I loved her until I found out she hardly sings on any of her tracks and uses uncredited vocals from demo singers and backing vocalists. There's entire breakdowns on CZcams of her music and I was floored how little of the songs are actually her voice

Sorry but I had barely a wrinkle until I was around sixty. Never dyed my hair so it looked weird and I always had comments. Look for her folds around her mouth when she was young. It is a miracle they are all gone now. She is not a good humanbeibg. She is a full blown narcissist. My husband has flown her in a private jet and she will not look or talk to the flight attendant. She tells her assistant to respond for her. She is not a singer as she doesn't have a voice. She is a performer. Take all of the acoustic out and all her back ground vocals and what you have is a person with no vocals.

You may look better for your age, but you lose the bones on your face as you age from 35. That is a scientific fact and it will happen no matter if you are Asian, black, or Hispanic. And that will cause your face to go down. Only Asian people look 10 years younger compared to white people because their skin is thick. White people can achieve thick skin if they do sports daily. Black people look younger because UV doesn't damage their skin that much. But, their face is not as lifted as they were in their 20s too. J Lo did sth to lift her face and her brows. That is not naturally possible. Also, "no women my age wanted to be a friend" maybe because you see other women as your competitors, and you seem to not have any respect towards women in general, although you are a woman. Truthfully, she has had the right work done. Her Surgeons and Drs are grade A+++. I can't think of any other celebrity who has been able to have such subtle work done to maintain their appearance the way she has. What they have done is true artistry.

That’s completely unrealistic as parents who tried to ban their kids from watching television in the 90s. Teenagers can view social media with friends as easily as they see advertisements with airbrushed people.
I remember feeling kinda similar when I was 15. I had a “fat” complex along with my hair type and even face shape.
Tell her to embrace this season - it’s her best season and lasts so brief. In addition, the celebs she may be comparing herself with are probably more jealous of her for being in her teenage season. 😊 I wish someone would’ve told me that.
Fortunately I wasn’t obsessive about it but once in a while I could get lost comparing myself a little.
Presently I still do but for different reasons: I’m happy I don’t have a petty complex anymore and that watching these celebs stress out over their faces melting is not an issue I’ll have. They have more complexes than me!
@ashkenn87 This is totally realistic. I prepared my child from the beginning - "no screens", and 13 years later the child hates tvs and smartphones. It means, not only there's no acces to thoses devices at home, but the child would not like to participate at "screen" activities with other children.
But this gives a side effect - the child is not mainstreem, so he's not immerged/inserted in this mass which mostly is composed by "screen"-users, fashion followers and consumers. Some people would be scared to the idea of bieng different from the majority (even if this majority can inspire only despise and dispair).
That is to say, don't say that avoiding social media is unrealistic. This is not effortless, sure.
I was the same as a teen, I had no idea that it was soo common for celebs to get things done , I thought they were naturally born with perfect teeth (truth-most have veneers) perfect body ( surgeries..some that I didnt even know existed) , faces, lips, (fillers) I thought I was just defective as a teen lol wish i had this CZcams channel back then.
My uncle is a professional photographer, he told me that all the photos are edited, nothing can be posted without that for the celebrity's guarantee to the fans. Btw, I saw Jlo in Harrods very early in the morning about 3 years ago, I was literally next to her so close, she almost without makeup and I can assure you that she looks like a person of her age but with a very good personality and that makes her look more youthful!

Thanks for sharing this, Gary. I used to think that celebrities have special facial treatments to maintain their look. It is good to have doctors like you letting us that aging is normal even for celebrities.

I saw her in Miami during the worst of the Covid situation. Her skin was pale and “blah,” her hair short and gray, and she was unrecognizable. I started speaking to her in Spanish, but she doesn’t speak Spanish! My home in Miami is very close to hers. One wouldn’t look twice at her. I had to laugh when I came across a CZcams video recently, and she was saying such things as: “You must use all of my products to look young and to get that JLO glow.” 🤣 I often see 3 different Dr.’s who come to her home on a regular basis. She has a lot of cellulite as well.
I saw an up close photo of her. She looked awful. Short stringy hair and loads of wrinkles. She does look her age without makeup and extensions.

Dr. Linkov - Your videos analyzing potenital plastic surgery/cosmetic procedures on celebrities are by far the classiest and most affirming I've seen. Love your work.
I like how you started off straight away and said your reasons for sharing your professional thoughts on what you think the celebrity you are featuring in your video had done to their faces, which is to help us not compare ourselves to men and women in celebrity or financial categories, because we question what’s wrong with us and why we did not age as gracefully, etc. When at the end of the day, it’s all just smoke and mirrors. I respect someone who will come out and say they did, such and such, to enhance their appearance, not deceive and play make believe that their looks are like fine wine and they get better with age. Even can turn back the hands of time and look better than when they were younger. Thanks Dr. Gary. I’m a board certified, licensed cosmetologist, and I want to keep things real, in terms of skincare and haircare. It is humbling to perform services on clients and patients when we don’t have what someone would expect someone in these fields to have, such as great skin, when the client/patient has naturally great skin or a full head of beautiful thick hair when we deal with hair loss and thinning ourselves. You seem like good peeps and I’m glad to have found you and watch your videos.

I am a fan of neither.
Cher did the main surgeries that changed her face to, basically, the one she has now, so long ago that only older people remember her original face. She hasn't changed the structure of her face at all for decades now, and is actually aging very well for someone who has had so much work done. It's true, her original face was very different, but whatever she's doing to maintain her created face is holding it up as well as I've ever seen someone heavily surgerized age.

I actually think J-lo is one celeb whose work (surgically) looks aesthetically pleasing, and not scary. That said, her skincare line is not to thank for this. As someone who began their skincare journey @ 40 (now 42), there are a few staples one must include in order to maintain the integrity of the skin, and in many cases, rewind the clock. Unfortunately, many women fall victim to these celebrity skincare lines and their purported benefits. From my extensive research and phenomenal results, this is what I’ve found to be most effective at combatting aging skin-
The gold standard for anti-aging remains tretinoin. In addition, a stable vitamin C serum w/a PH of between 2-3, no higher. Lastly, chemical peels. My favorite is TCA, although it’s been the only acid I’ve ever played with (I’m balls to the wall w/everything, lol). Micro needling is also good for collagen building. These 3 actives, in addition to your hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, etc, should all be incorporated into a routine alongside a good facial cleanser and ceramide based cream (the ceramides must be in the appropriate ratio in order to be effective which can be hard to find- sorry, cerave). And always use an SPF of 50+++ as a last step. Consistency is key but I promise you will love your skin. Botox is also great for keeping those expression lines away.
I know I’m late on this post, but I just wanted to say I love your channel! You’re so knowledgeable and compassionate about what you do. What I love most, you’re conservative. Not your run of the mill plastic surgeon that’ll perform any procedure for the $$$$. In another 8 years or so (I’ll be 50), I’ll definitely want a facelift (as natural as possible) as well as a few other procedures. lol. I hope you remain in NY and continue to stay humble because I would love to have you as my surgeon! 💜
JLo is exactly my age. No matter how meticulous you are with skin care and diet, things happen. You can thread lift and Botox and fill just so much. In my opinion, she's had a face and neck and brow lift and there's absolutely no shame in it. But what do I know.I could be wrong I'm no expert, I just happen to be born within a couple of months from her and am meticulous with everything. Olive oil ain't gonna help ya that much, sister.

@@neutronneuron5582 I am latino and have traveled the Americas. I've seen them all. How people age has to a lot to do with genetics and how they take care of themselves. On average all races/ethnicities age at about the same rate and you can see it in their faces. Also, in my experience white females tend to exercise more and watch their diets more carefully compared to latinas/ black women and that helps the maintain some of their youthfulness. Staying out of the sun is key...the sun ages you prematurely. White females that hang out in the sun all day do look older as they age. There is no scientific consensus that the races on earth age differently at least I haven't seen any major studies on it.

Definitely agree with your comment👍. These fake people are the ones that causes others who already have a low self-esteem harm themselves. Nothing is wrong if people want to cut off some body flaps, but don't tell lies that you were born that way and good skincare lines gave that effect.
Lorri isnt as fair as this guy. She seems to find photos that dramatize what she wants to see without taking into consideration, lighting, makeup, angles, and general aging and health of whoever she chooses. Where as in this video there are 3 photos straight on all with similar facial expressions.

I wish I would’ve seen this before I bought her skin care line which is a total scam! Yes it smells nice and yes it feels nice, however after nearly 3 months I see no “glow”. @@lisadiaz9665 obviously I didn't think she was 100% natural, but I was surprised as to the extent of her plastic surgery. I personally never liked Jlo; there's something about here that irks me. However, so many people raved about the skincare line, so I gave it a shot. But it turned out just fancy and expensive lotions with no actual effects on the skin. It's just pure fandom loyalty feeding into it.
I think her surgery has been done well but I’m 42 get told I look good for my age but I have lines, deep from, lips thinner, nose looks bigger lol. We change. She’s kept a very unnatural youthful glow

Yeah she’s not lying she probably did not have the Botox she had one of the other brands so in her mind she’s not lying get it there’s so many other brands that are not Botox brand per se I can’t think of any at the moment but I’ve used most of the other ones that are just like Botox

Absolutely a tummy tuck! I've not had twins, but I've had 5 kids and excellent genetics and live/eat like a monk! I exercise and weight lift 5 times a week. At this age and after twins, your stomach doesn't look like hers. Denying surgery makes everyday mothers feel inadequate.

Continue to take care of your body the best way possible and appreciate every step of the body's natural aging process. I think it’s more a reflection on her to not be honest. It’s obvious to anyone that this isn’t a ‘natural achievement of beauty’ it takes a lot of work and a lot of resources. Thank you for breaking it down for us. A very thorough yet still respectful representation of what it takes and costs to get that level of beauty over that kind of time.
In my opinion the average person who has always been attractive and has taken good care of this skin will still look very good in their 50s. I know a couple. I know people in their 80s who still look good! Without any procedures that is.

Naturally, every one of us gets older. So it must be really challenging for many female celebrities to set the limit and standard how they want to be looked at their age from now on.

I don't know. My parents pretty much looked the same from their mid 30's to early 50's and they both smoked cigarettes most of their lives and have no skincare routine to speak of. My older brother who is 45; only major change is that his face is not as plump as it was when he was 25. He doesn't have any wrinkles.

It's the lies for me!!!! Everyone ages and if I had the money to afford some of those procedures specifically, the eyelid skin removal and eyebrow lift I would gladly go under the knife and share my experience with others
If your upper eyelid drooping is so severe that it’s impacting your sight, your doctor might be able to convince insurance to cover the cost of an upper blepharoplasty. It would be in your senior years obviously, but it’s possible. My mom’s best friend got 2 done. One at 60, and another one at 73. Both were paid for by insurance.

I have always appreciated your honesty when it comes to age and gracefully. In this country. We are obsessed with youth and it's absolutely crazy! You cannot look 25 at 60. I'm sorry you just can't. I will be 59 this year. And I am so glad that I had positive reinforcement around me to accept everything about myself. Young girls are so influenced by the celebrities who have glam squads and like you said resources that normal people don't have. I don't want my nieces feeling like they have to live up to some unrealistic beauty standards.

Yeah, no kidding!! She’s done so much to her face that it’s so obvious that it’s not funny. He’s being too “nice” by not naming all the face-altering things she’s done. Just go dig out her photos from the 80’s and even 90’s and you’ll see that she was quite unattractive. Even in Anaconda I, her face isn’t even close to what it is now. She’s just very fake and doesn’t want to admit that she wasn’t pretty and needed to have her face fixed to look like a totally cute face. Didn’t even know who she was in that movie and remarked to my friend that I couldn’t believe she starred in the movie and that she is extremely unattractive.

A facial mask can’t remove lines in the face, only soften the appearance of them. Also how does a facial mask tighten skin?! JLo must think very lowly of us to believe her lies. I think honesty would’ve made her look more respectable and relatable.
Came across your CZcams recently and first of all - just wanted to say how much I enjoy watching your videos! As little trust as I have for doctors recently - if I were to have a facial plastic surgery I’d definitely come to your practice with full confidence! Also a pleasure listening to you speak, I appreciate the level of respect and humbleness. I’m not a plastic surgeon nor a doctor but I’ve been looking into mewing for the last couple of months and just wanted to share my thoughts on J Lo’s youthful appearance: I suspect (and you can see it from multiple paparazzi photos) she keeps her mouth closed and tongue positioned correctly and hasn’t gotten veneers or done any other damage to the jaws and the skull. Botox - most likely. But not so much fillers (unless someone did such a great job that there isn’t any migration or puffiness showed yet). Mewing does really amazing things to your face by lifting and widening the maxilla which leads to the whole skull looking much younger. I think some cosmetologists and plastic surgeons would be shocked to see the before and after pictures.
I admire a woman who can share the fact that she has had work done. We can see there before and after pictures so I don't see the point in them not admitting the truth. Be authentic to who you are inside.

It’s good for our personal self esteem to know that they have work done so we understand why we don’t look as good - or could look better if we had work too. So in a way it’s inspiring but of course it’s costly to have as much done as they have but their face is their fortune and the pressure to preserve their asset must be enormous. I wish she’d just admit it. She was very ordinary pre all her surgery but my gosh it’s transformed her so the surgeon is truly an artist (with a scalpel and needle). She does look gorgeous. I hope she’s happy and knows when to stop. Thanks for highlighting this for us mere mortals, Gary. Your videos are great.
