I am from Rotterdam, live in Amsterdam and my parents used to live in London so I have travelled both by train and by car quite often, and I have to say, you have been taking quite the detours 😂 there is a direct eurostar train from London to Amsterdam in 3,5 hours, and by car it would usually take us around 5-6 hours. Still fun to watch though, keep it up!
If they were to do that there would be no content tho.
I believe they choose routes that have pretty similar times according to google maps i assume so one of them doesn't just walk over the other one.
Great series tho as you mentioned.
Same for the previous video, made some very odd decisions for the scooter route.
Also why not take the sprinter or IC from Rotterdam to Schiphol or to zuid

They were, the toll booth you see at 16:30 is at the Westerscheldetunnel, the only toll road (tunnel) in the Netherlands, and it's not even a motorway. They must have taken a really weird route along the coast to come in through Zeeland and then going to Middelburg before moving to Amsterdam...
You gotta do a challenge like this in Germany: If there's no construction you can go 300km/h in the car, while Scott on the train has a minimum 1h delay

predict the delay of the previous train and show up to catch that one instead

Yeah that was a dead giveaway that this race is staged. The underground station is literally Schiphol Airport and right afterwards, he says he is at Rotterdam. Still a good video, but they messed up

While I love the banter, something seems off with the routes that Scott took on this trip.
He went from London to Rotterdam, got down from the train and then cycled to Schiphol??
While the Eurostar has a scheduled stop at Schiphol which Scott could have taken and simply walked out to the Amsterdam sign.
I'm guessing they had to put in the e-bike sponsorship somehow. But it surely could have been done better.

I like the idea of this race, however this not truthful storytelling / editing... Scot's real route was: Eurostar train to Rotterdam, bicycle around in the city of Rotterdam and then took the IntercityDirect train from Rotterdam to Schiphol. (which is only 24 minutes) When looking at the footage: on 15:30 minutes Scot is arriving in Rotterdam, 17:03 (in the Eurostar) person on track issue = prior Rotterdam, 17:45 Scot is already in IntercityDirect train to Schiphol, 17:55 arriving at Schiphol airport, 18:15 phone call / show footage that Scot is "back" in Rotterdam train station and will cycle to Schiphol = at least 2 hours/ 40 miles. All by all good to promote sponsors but not truthful how this trip really was.
I like that the title suggests Scot has the power of an entire horse 😆

@@t1g049 1 horsepower is around 755 watts, a regular person can't do more than 200 watts sustained but if you sprint you could get to 1000 watts, but very briefly
His leg Watts and the 500W from that ebike at the end are enough to make 1hp. I suppose.
@@chillout1109 It’s limited to 250 Watts power output. The 500 Wh is the capacity of the battery.
As a Dutch guy who lives close to the place where the McLaren supposedly took a wrong turn, I know that the route you took was not the fastest to Amsterdam from there. You shouldn't have gone through that tunnel at all and should have definitely skipped that "7th world wonder" we call the Oosterscheldekering. Anyways great video as always and keep up the good work!
Also the fact that they took a bunch of unnecessary train, the Eurostar stops at Schiphol so he would not need to get off at Rotterdam at all
I mean, the guy says he's at rotterdam @17:58 while clearly getting off an ICM at Schiphol so this whole video is rubbish
I mean they kinda made it apear the guy cycled from Rotterdam to Schiphol which is not only dumb but clearly not what happened since he got off at Schiphol airport in the video, but of course they also needed to show off the ebike altough the IAmsterdam sing is actually right above the train station where the Eurostar stops😂😂 also with the route the car took the train would have been faster for sure.

At 17:54, Scott is allready getting of the train at Schiphol airport, meaning he is already 1 minute away from the finish line. It is still a great video, but if you are going to stage these challenges, then don't make it that obvious.
There wasn't even a reason to put in that shot at all. He was already out at Rotterdam and there was no reason tho have a shot of the really recognizable Schiphol Airport train station

16:05 that frame isn't the Netherlands, that's Antwerp (still Belgium). Train overhead wires are really recognisable for certain countries, sometimes even regions.

Actually Scott, you can still win. Your finish line is at Schiphol which isn't a part of Amsterdam (for other then marketing purposes).
Can you do a vid comparing the 60-100mph rolling acc of a regular family car, using small and big wheels (14" vs 17" or something similar). Want to see how the effects of rotational inertia, affect the acc times.

at 14:32 you can see that they're driving 91 mph. The speedlimit on Belgian highways is 120 kmh so they're going 26 kmh over it ):
Also the speed limit in the Netherlands from 6am to 7 pm is 100kph. They didn't realise that they were in the Netherlands so they were probably still going much too fast.
And scott was driving an ebike with a 500 watt motor on it, which is also illegal in the netherlands
These three remind me so much of the good top gear (may, hammond, clarkson)
I like how the pro driver never gets to driver the car in these challenges.
This should be placed as comedy 😂 you get of the train at Amsterdam Airport but next scene you are in Rotterdam
Why is the Scotland video private?
Next time you do such a challenge please consider driving through Germany or having it as destination, since this is literally the only place in the world driving a Ferrari/RS3/McLaren makes sense.

Uh, yeah, I did a bit of a "test" where I just followed Google Maps faithfully. At one point it told me to exit left in 50 meters but had me three lanes right.
On the other hand, Apple Maps is brilliant at proactively moving you to the proper lane before the turn.
Scott, you should have started with the Grail - would have made short work of that gravel patch!

In every video I watch I do 2 stars (Good things) and 1 wish (A thing to work on)
⭐ - The fact that you go back and forth between the McLaren and the bike.
⭐ - The shots of the McLaren when it's driving.
🌠 - I think it would be better to do it just on a bike but then it is realistic. I I bought a little bike for £100 then about £50 for the ticket. I wouldn't be too bad.
Overall your CZcams Video was good.

We love the channel. But is it just me who wants to see the slk, tt and jag be daily driven by the guys for a month and see which is most expensive, most reliable, and some upgrade series with 5-10k budget for each car and see who can improve the most on knock hill?
