“Cause if I become a drug addict, Imma have a *treat*.” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I love the little dance she does
Remind me of a dude i saw on teens react:
" If someone offered you happiness for 10 buck. Would you take it ?"
literally puts her whole being into the performance XD
" You are a Father This is a day Here is a card , nailed it" ... 😓
Honestly genius, this is what I would write for my dad. Doesn't deserve more than that.
@@LoreCatan couldn't have said it better myself..
My dad! Hasn’t returned my calls for two years. Pretty sure he is still alive, but a girl can dream. Least parented generation, ever.
That bit is SO relatable it hurts.
It’s sad, however, how real that is for so many people.
Taylor is so good. That special is one of the best on Netflix.
💯 agreed! Chappelle, her, Nate Bargatze, Michelle Buteau, Sam Jay, and a few others 👌🏾
@@heartofthematter247 I would also recommend neil brennan, his 3 mics performance was mind blowing, and surprisingly very informative
The best*
Ooh, be careful... you don't want to be fun to hang out with...
Taylor Tomlinson manages to be hilarious, relatable, and adorable all at the same time.
throw occasionally brutally ruthless in the mix and we are good
I don't find crippling depression and mental illness adorable or funny.
@@MarcosIsABaritone you're probably in the wrong part of the internet then lol
@@michaelbrucato7180 Touché.
She's my new fave comic. If she comes out with a second show better than the first she is going to be huge!
As a 24 year old, I feel like pre-pandemic I was the kid doing the pep talk and now… I am the adult leaning on that sink. Trying to make some options for myself but right now “you’re gonna do it - cuz what other choice do you have?” is almost too relatable
It doesn't get easier but you adjust ur 30s will be a blessing compared to 20s but not easier still
@@joshuajames2425 I was working for Disney before the pandemic and had the time of my life, right up until they had to send all of us interns home. That wasn’t my long term industry but I miss it a lot since I was supposed to be there a lot longer than I was able to be.
That said I actually look at my Disney button every morning before I leave for work and have a variation of the “you’re gonna do it because you’re great and I believe in you”. It’s just that it was in some ways easier to do when the environment was all but telling you that too. It really is the most magical place on Earth
Im 24 aswell, and i definately was leaning on the sink before covid
One comedian summarized your 20s perfectly. Fishing out who belongs in your life, having responsiblites but not a ton yet, what you should change/want to change. Your 30s aren't easier but they're more rewarding to me.
COVID wise, it scares me to have to work outside the home. I get anxious about going to the store. And not because I'm afraid I'll get sick but that I'll get my elderly mom with a lot of medical issues sick. It sucks as adults to not have a lot of options but spot on "what else are you going to do? Just gotta do it." Recently started a family (of rescue furbabies but hey, they're family). Even with the extra responsibilities that come with it, it's rewarding to be able to provide for them and see them so happy. I'm grown and shoveling other peoples driveways and sidewalks right now for the extra cash and mow lawns in the summer time but feel rewarded to be able to help my human family when they need it and see my critters so happy and healthy. It's not an easy road but well worth it.
Y’all don’t just let crippling anxiety and societal pressures motivate you?
"Too much has happened...and Hallmark can't cover it." Lmao I love Taylor 😂
“Do you know how afraid of your own personality you have to be” that hits😂😂 my friend was telling me how much fun drinking is Bc it just lowers ur inhibitions and I genuinely told her that is my worst nightmare. Not being in complete control of my actions at all time. Hell no. Do u know how much time and effort I put into behaving like a normal human??? Y on earth would I drink something to fuck that up.
Relatable!
I already have too FEW inhibitions so yup no thank you
I am afraid that if I ever let go, I would be on a clock tower. No thanks, I’ll stay sober. I already want to t-bone my neighbors for parking in front of my driveway, every day. God help them if I lost my inhibitions.
Lol, I like drinking every now and then personally because it's one of the few things that makes it way easier for me to talk to people 😅
This reached into tye depth of my personality and read me like a book 👀😤
Taylors reenactment of mirror prep talk is awfully accurate
That's sad.
Taylor Tomlinson’s special is a National Treasure 😂😂
YES, I AGREE! WE NEED ANOTHER NEW ONE
Wasn't even funny. Watch Gabriel Iglesias instead.
Eh. He’s cool but eh
"The McRib came back more times than my dad." SAME.

I just started a job at a bakery, 3am to 2pm, one free day a week. I'm grateful, my boss is awesome and it pays good. But it's a big MF working 60+hours a week. I'm talking 50lbs of flour mix into giant mixers type of bakery, it is this or being homeless.

@@jm389017 much empathy. Just keep your hands out of the Hobart mixer. Feel you, bakery work is physically and mentally challenging. Hang in there, & try to enjoy the quiet alone time. It’s one bonus. Still can’t eat a doughnut to this day, though and I did this 15+ years ago.
11:30 My mom is now a United States citizen (born in Mexico) and came to America legally (It was the early 70's). She worked at McDonald's (she only finished middle school) but worked hard. I am an engineer and my brother is an architect. She changed it in just one generation. When there is a will there is a way.

“I’m a little sad. Is there a sad driving test?”
There should be lol. Taylor Tomlinson is so funny and relatable
“No officer, That…. Was my best”😂

“I grew up in the hood: I had bars in my window, but this chicken is ‘cage free’…ohhhh ok 😒”
Anybody feel that in the pit of their soul?
Fortunately I live in a bar-free Los Angeles suburb.
@@edithdlp8045 fortunately, indeed!
Sighing into a harmonica. Brilliant.
"I went to whole foods....that place should have lay away" lmao 🤣
"As a woman, I wanted to break that Glas ceiling"
Made me tear up 🥲
"but as a Mexican I wanna clean that shit, too."
Made me freaking cry 😂
She nailed it by mentioning the famous FABULOSO 👏 I don't know any Mexican or Mexican American who doesn't know or used FABULOSO. BTW I am Mexican American and my grandmother always had FABULOSO in her house.
W comment fr😭😂
@@edithdlp8045 I’m living in the UK and here is Fabuloso everywhere. And originally from Hungary, and I’m kind Cristela: want to breaking that glass, but cleaning in the same time. Most say Tomlinson is very relatable. She is, but Cristela for me even more.
Fabuloso was the scent of my Columbian friends house growing up...BTW who was that lady because I've never seen her before but that shit was capital G Gold
The way she says “and my hands were snakes” has been living rent free in my head for the last week… she says it just right, like I don’t know if I could try and replicate that! But Taylor really commits
Who else died laughing when Taylor said, " they should have you sigh into a harmonica, and if it's on key. Be like, out of the the car Johnny Cash, we can't have you on the road "
Gets me everytime 😭
Her depression and mental illness is so consuming that she drives recklessly. That's not funny, it's concerning.
"Sigh into a harmonica...
and if its in tune..
Out of the car Johnny Cash, can't have you on the road."
This made me literally spit out my water 🤣
“The McRib has come back more times than my dad”- truer words have not been spoken
That "where's the Fabuloso?" Got me 🤣
😆 it's not clean if you can't smell the fabuloso!
"I grew up in the hood my bars had windows but this chicken is cage free" 👏👏💰
How ironic, the fathers day greeting card number was right on for me. I go months without hearing from my dad & 5 min after watching that he messages me. We had a huge power outage due to a storm last night.
My dad: "Do you have power so I can come shower?"
Me with power: "Nope. Nice to hear from you though." 😑
Wow, he sucks for that.
Good for you for not sharing, but I’m sorry he’s a douche.
So sorry♥️ How dammed immature & kind of rotten.
cristela alonzo is so good, i loved her special so much, i need more
"You are a father. This is a day. Here is a card." Only twelve words and that is a bloody POEM.
The more of Taylor Tomlinson's comedy I see, the more I think she had an awful, awful childhood. She's very talented, but her stuff is often just sad.
Well she's made the best of it
@kokocrunch40 i actually relate to a lot of her comedy talking about being raised religious..when you don't 100% buy into that way of thinking, living like that can certainly be a drag
Most comedians are. Trauma has a way of making you into a very funny person
She’s dark humoured. You got to have a sense of humour- and she definitely does!
@@leoneranger9348 oh, I'm absolutely not criticizing her humor and that's exactly what I meant-- this is the kind of dark humor that people with trauma sometimes develop as a coping mechanism, for survival!
I'm happy that's she's been able to succeed, but it also made me feel some sorrow that she probably had a very rough life.
The McRib came back more times than my dad 🤣🤣🤣
That Cristela Alonzo set was hilarious 😂
I came for Pete but damn Taylor and Cristela did that!
"Too much has happened and Hallmark can't cover it " 🤌🏻😭😭 the accuracy
I legit have had this thought. “You inspired me, were there for me. I’ll always be daddy’s little girl.” NOPE!
I've literally done the, F*¢k this sh*† .. bought a blank card and just wrote "Happy F🤮ther's Day"
That's it. And cringed doing THAT
That one girl who was raised on McDonald's so relatable. I grew up with a single dad and me and my 2 siblings were raised on beany cheese and rice burritos from taco bell until I turned 13 and learned how to cook
YES!!! dude Pete Davidson describing the feeling of shrooms is 100% correct, for years I never knew how to explain the high to people but this its the most accurate describing I ever heard
It's the same with LSD. After a few hours, your cheeks hurt from smiling so hard and your heart hurts from feeling so open. It feels like your lungs are expanding from all the extra oxygen you're getting. It's exhausting being that exhilarated for that long!
"you better show me pictures of white people picking the fruit" 😂
'If Imma be a drug addict imma have a treat' hahahahaha this should be a t-shirt quote
Two months ago, I moved into my grandma's basement after paying my own way through college and then working for two years out of state.
Those 6 years were not fun for me.
During college, I had 3 part-time jobs during the school year, and 1 full time/1 part time summer gigs to pay off my tuition of $13.5k/year (which was the cheapest state college available). All my jobs had to be in walking distance, cuz I couldn't even afford to PARK a car, much less the car itself. And this was a college town in the US Midwest, so I was walking to work over unshoveled ice sidewalks in -20F as well as 102F with no air conditioner in my shîtty rental with 3 roommates.
After graduating, I had the paychecks finally, but rent was so ridiculous within 50 miles of my job that I had 2 roommates and was still forking out $800/month on a basic place, on top of food and car costs (because once you get a professional job, there aren't apartments within walking distance anymore).
It might be a little limiting socially, but I love living with grandma. This is great. No more "Cuz what the hell else are you gonna do??" peptalks.
The answer is: I'm NOT going to take that frustrating job with crap pay just to scrape by. I'm gonna go on a grocery run with my grandma's Sam's Club card, make her supper, vacuum a bit, and go chill in my room and wait for a better opportunity, while she tells all her gal pals I'M the one spoiling HER.
Best. Life. Decision. Ever.
Feel so lucky to have that option. These last two months have been like a vacation, except I don't have to invite all my friends to cut down on hotel costs.
I am her target audience for nightmares as an adult bit. they are worse.
Man, adult nightmares have gotten so much worse recently.
Adult nightmares are so detailed
recently had one myself, my whole bathroom was full of huge black bugs, boss was firing me from my job for saying outrageous things about the company
Adult nightmares are TRASH. I’m either trying to escape a shooter, abducter/murderer, or fire. My last super memorable one was my brother killing himself on the kitchen floor, it’s so weird having to sort between reality/dream.
Dude… for real. My adult nightmares are all the kind that when I tell people about them, their eyes get big and they just say something like “jesus.”
And I go “yeah, I know, my brain HATES me.”
“If ima be a drug addict, ima have a treat!” 😂 Same
Leaning on the sink moments… very real 😂😂😂
"CUZ WHAT OTHER GODDAMN CHOICE DO YOU HAVE?" felt that on a spiritual level
the sigh in the harmonica joke is just genius! hahahaha
The greeting card part was very true recently I tried to buy my aunt a bday card for my dad to give her. They were all lovely wonderful sister type I had to call my mom and ask her what to do 😂 she said just look for a regular bday card. 💆🏽♀️
Cristela Alonzo was just gold I laughed all the time
Me tooo!!! How have I missed her all this time?!
Thank you for writing her name, didn’t know who she was!
People with lack of sense of humor…
Omg. Taylor Tomlinson. Yes! Especially regarding choosing a card as an adult. :)

You go girl. ❤
Taylor has such a bright future. Honestly my favorite comic atm!

"Not dreams, premonitions"...🤣🤣🤣
Always a pleasure to watch Alonzo on stage and Yes, Taylor doesn't disappoint
"They just have you sigh into a harmonica"...I can't 😂 Stomach hurts 🤣
Hahaha that joke about whole foods is so true. I went to the farm where they produce the strawberries a bunch of mexicans getting paid shit on a hot summer day i bought drinks for them and i got free flat of berries from them. It was insane. Like the prices at whole food are ridiculous. Go to the mexican markets ten times less expensive and its the same farm that gets ship to whole foods like such a joke.
Haha "be careful, you don't want to be fun to hang out with" going to be my line going forward 🤣
"Your going to do it........ cause what other God damn choice do you have!?" This hit hard
“The McRib came back more times than my dad”😂😂😂

She's a absolute killer!!
Oh shut up nerd
"Coz what else goddamn choice do you have?"

The Latina perfectly explained why veganism is inherently classist.
This is so dumb. Yeah tell that to the Jainists in India.
@@adanactnomew7085 *classist in America
@@adanactnomew7085 Jainists still eat yogurt, eggs and honey.
I worked for one, they encouraged eating their way but never pushed it on anyone.
Yep...or gluten free etc 😁
Nobody says veganism has to be organic lol. You could literally get canned vegetables, dry beans, rice, potatoes, bread, and pasta for cheap. Whereas meat, fish, dairy, and eggs are so damn expensive that my mom who is on Keto is struggling with the cost. Keep in mind, meat, dairy, & eggs are subsidized with our tax dollars and yet they're STILL expensive. That's what's really classist, it's that these big agricultural corporations are getting govt subsidies even though they pay their workers shit and exploit animals. Like you'd really have to be out-of-touch with reality if you think plant-based eating is classist. Big Dairy forces schools to feed kids milk or they threaten to cut off funding school programs. Big Meat creates manure run-off that has led to pulmonary outbreaks, asthma, cancer, salmonella poisoning, etc in local communities. Not to mention the hypoxic dead zones that are suffocating fish in the Gulf Sea. The air, land, and water pollution from these animal farms impact low-income communities, but SUUURRREEE it's veggies that are "classist" 🤣
The first 2 years of living alone were great. Now, after 18 more months, I feel somewhat different about the idea. This is all 100% relatable.
