“That’s why I’m in therapy”
"I wore that ring for two months, I never got used to it, it kept getting caught on things, like sweaters and my freedom ..." best line ever.
I died when she said she floated through target after getting engaged 😂 she was proposed at a target! 😅😂😂😂
she's so great with the subtle subversion right at the end there
“Every guy I’ve dated has told me I have trust issues, which is something liars say when you’re on to em.”
Taylor channeling Norm McDonald right there
dude, now that you've said that, i cannot unsee it. she does have his rhythm for sure!
The way she pauses to let the joke breath is flawless. She used to move too quickly from joke to joke and now she has phenomenal delivery.
It's a craft like any other. You practice and get better over time, doing standup and watching other artists.
Breathe
I can't remember which interview it was in but she mentioned she was having a massive anxiety attack before filming Quarter-Life Crisis. I think QLC is amazing but when you've seen some of her other stuff you can kind of see the anxiety bubbling underneath a little.
I liked the break up part when she said he cheated on her, in her head.
the hop she does for 'i just. fucking. like her, dude!' 😂
11:14 -- just perfectly executed.
I related 100% to that, because I literally did that when explaining to my friends that I was engaged to a girl I had met 2 months earlier. Yesterday was our 12th wedding anniversary... so it was the right move lol
@@rickosborne6521 congrats! My 3rd anniversary 8 days ago.
Her chocolate covered raisin bit had endless punchlines.. simply brilliant.
The best part of that joke is the 'call back' to peanut butter from earlier in the program. It misses in this short clip.
"Am i chocolate or raisin??"
🤣🤣🤣
I actually love chocolate covered raisins 🙈 Taste great!

Exactly
Taylor is such a breath of intelligent fresh air; she deserves all the praise she's getting right now. She delivers a perfect mix of self-deprecation, sarcasm, and ultra witty anecdotes whilst both revelling in and laughing at being a millennial woman. Quarter Life Crisis (2020) and Look at You (2022) are both brilliant from start to finish. Love watching these little clips.
and now Have it All (2024)
im a broke basic bastard, so i cant buy much content, so im hoping to find these shows on here eventually. she's friggin brilliant. ive been following her on tiktok for ages
Pac-Man getting a colonoscopy is the best description of that emoji 😫
“And you looked up and it wasn’t you mom?” That is easily one of the best jokes ever. The way she sold that as a heart warming story and then dropped “you think you know someone and it’s just a stranger with your mom’s knees” Absolutely brilliant writing and flawless delivery!
Also a joke that can only be delivered by a woman, or thereabouts
Why do female comics always yap like whores?

Wow you're welcome,❤️🇦🇨
Taylor is a genius in her domain. Her timing and control is perfect. Her self deprecation is calibrated to only make you love her more.
Disagree... It's very cringe because it gets overdone. She should move a level deeper and connect her personal experiences to larger societal issues. The constant dunking on herself and men gets tired real quick.
@@user-no2vw8tm2sokay comedy genius
@@user-no2vw8tm2sShe's hilarious. I don't see her constantly dunking on men and her transparency around her mental health issues definitely resonates as a larger societal issue. Do you feel dunked on? Maybe that's a personal area of sensitivity?
@@davidphillips1845 No, I don't. It was an honest critique of her stand up and of how her jokes are structured. Are you always going for ad hominem attacks if someone critiques the thing you like?
@@user-no2vw8tm2s No attacks here brother, ad hominem or otherwise. I disagreed that she always dunks on herself and men and then asked if you felt dunked on? Then I asked if that's an area of sensitivity? I pointed out that her transparency around her mental health does connect to the larger societal epidemic of mental health issues. I was critiquing your critique, not attacking you personally. Make sense?
If you sensed any snarkiness it's due to you framing your critique as if you are using a widely accepted objective standard of what comedy should be instead of just your personal preference. Great timing and setups are universal standards to judge comedy. Speaking to larger societal issues is just your preference. Stating your personal preference as an objective flaw in her performance is "cringe" in my opinion.
I love the visual dismount after the “Look at You” joke. She is a very funny comedian.
Right I was choking on my frosting watching that
Her face after the "LOOK AT YOU!" line absolutely SOLD it.
The slow dismount had me fucking howling
It makes it even funnier when you realize that's what she named the special for
Noped out of that mess. 🤣🤣
@@livgreenwood8521 exactly it was the dismount that got me 😭😭
So I don’t know why I’m not getting it 😂 But what does she mean by “look at you” exactly? It’s still funny as hell but I feel I’m missing something 🤪
The “I mean… I just fuckin like her dude!” Bit is like the best depiction of a young straight guy falling in love.
Shit cracked me up.
Thats exactly what i toll my bros when i met my wife after spending 400$ on a date and i didn't ever got a kiss, we are married now but thats exactly what i said when they told me are you crazy?
“He cheated on me…….in my head”
😂😂😂😂
The chocolate / raisin bit is spectacular.
"You belong with oatmeal...."
So insulting!!!! LMAO!
She's so in tune with the raw, unglamorous side of being human. The pettiness, the anxiety, the concerns about trust... but also the fact that our closeminded cynicism is sometimes misplaced. And with the way the world is right now, I think that's something we all need to hear.
well said
❤
I think for me is she understands all the things you mentioned but also how we self sabotage bc of how fcked up we are lol 😅
Taylor’s comedy excels for two giant reasons to me.
1) Her physical comedy is on point. She uses it to hammer a joke home and doesn’t usually take it over the top.
2) The biggest reason is honesty. She’s vulnerable. She doesn’t tell her stories through a facade or a front. The human condition is what we all can relate to.
This doesn’t mean that dishonest comedy is bad, what I mean is her level of honesty and vulnerability elevate her.
Taylor rules. Simple as that.
Very true
I think that's why I get a Bill Burr vibe from her comedy. It's obviously not super comparable, but the honesty, self deprecation and self analysis is there as well as the ability to turn a joke into a skit.
@@jetrexdesign what a perfect comparison. It's the same humor, except a woman and a generation or two difference.
Case in point, the Slow Dismount after "Look at youuu." No other words were necessary.
True
"This is my lesson I can't seem to learn!
- Dont get attached - - - " 😂
Looking at her old stuff, you can see that she was always a solid joke writer who understood good delivery. She has really taken it to the next level with the physical movements on stage.
I love that she has the delivery down. And when the audience gets the joke and starts laughing, she doesn't stall like, "okay now I'm going to nonchalantly Segway into a different topic as if I wasn't intending that to be that funny" even though we all paid for the ticket to be there. Too many comedians have that transitional problem.
Camera edits can do wonders. Love her though.
Not exactly sure what you mean but some comedians intentionally do something similar. E.g. the ones that tell a story rather than saying one funny thing after another.
I think you mean “segue” XD
@@andresiglesiast I'm aware of what I said. My word choice just happens to be a good visual metaphor for the same verbal concept.
@@anactualbear5683 lol dude you’re not convincing anyone that was intentional- you absolutely thought segue was spelled like it’s homophone friend, the infamous scooter, Segway.

"We talked all day, I didn't want to hit her..." LMAO
This woman has a very strong comic voice for someone so young.
I watch a lot of comics and in terms of the under 30 crowd, I think she might be the single best one working. Her stuff is consistently clever and she gets how to use personal stories to create opportunities for jokes with a point. She figured out self-deprecating as a style is best when what it is used for is to make you relatable, which is where so many self-deprecating as a style comedians go wrong (it doesn’t make them seem relatable- it just makes it seems like they hate themselves and are very good at taking shots at themselves accordingly).
Looking forward to seeing her live later this fall.
“I wanna like lick her heart, I think.” is the craziest line ever 😂
It's perfect

I never laughed so hard in my life. Most comedians when they do relationship jokes, it’s vulgar and annoying, but this girl delivered awesomely.😊
That’s talent. I love that she can be brutally honest and vulgar…but not vulgar for the sake of it. That just seems desperate to me and it’s off putting. Taylor has great material, great timing, great engagement with the audience and I actually laughed.
@GrayPoupon what are you trying to convey by saying that you actually laughed? Are you saying that sometimes you can compliment a comedic artist, judge and assess them positively, but not actually laugh?
@@leahnewyork were you high as fuk when you wrote that?
@@leahnewyork ofc i can't comment for GP but imo: yes. i can appreciate a comedian's skill etc without finding them funny. humour is subjective. comedic skill is objective.

The way she delivered that was like it was not a joke just a moment of her true thoughts, which made it doubly great.
I used to date a girl like that and it was a nightmare. I will never date a girl like that again. Go to a therapist

She and John Mulaney are, in my opinion, the funniest, most clever comedians in the game right now!
Yea it's too bad Jezelnik got so fucking slow like he had a stroke or something, fawwk.
Omg YES! those are my top comedians too! I loved when she talked about getting engaged though; what she did with her hand. It reminded me that I INSTANTLY became left handed. Gesturing slowly, so people could adore my ring, driving with all the fingers of my left hand up in case a passing car cared to know that I was engaged.... Level up. 😂
Same here!!! They are my top two comedians also!! Both their stand ups are pure gold
We talking the next generation? If so, I agree. Greatest living comedian though, probably Dave Chappelle, though I guess it does depend on your tastes to an extent.

She is so courageous, funny and deep. Excellent delivery and timing. I'm in awe how effortlessly she's able to slip into a character. She's able to joke about extremely difficult topics. Many male comedians tend to become more or less misogynistic and self righteous when they joke about women. She is also making fun of herself when joking about men. It demonstrates to me how well processed trauma helps you to mature.
Taylor has spectacular comedic ability. Her content is amazing but her timing and delivery is truly special she is a generational talent
