Props to Taylor--you never know how the mental health jokes are going to carry, but when they hit, they hit! I deeply related to the topic, and it was good to really laugh about it.

You do need more protein, everyone does for the most part! 100 grams a day at a minimum!
She goes even way darker in her Netflix special, and its freaking hilarious. Totally worth watching!
Yes when I found her Netflix special I felt like I could truly laugh about my diagnosis- first time in a long time😀. Thank you Taylor and her therapist that help her stay strong- I hope she finds all the support and best “arm floaties” available!!
Taylor was just beginning her rise in fame when the pandemic started. Glad to see she’s still going. She’s the best.
I saw an interview with her and they talked about that. her first Netflix special came out I think it was like a week before lockdown and she had talked about things with her manager or publicist, I can't remember which, and she voiced concerns about this being a horrible time for her special to have come out. and whoever she was talking to about it said it was actually probably the best time for the special to have come out because people are going to be at home and they're gonna need things to watch. but I guess it still could have gone either way.
and that chocolate covered raisin joke is my favourite i know one like that

Started out as a "Christian" comic doing her act in church's. Apparently, she went over the line and they dropped her. She's a funny comic, and her special is worth the watch.
she came to the church I was apart of in 2014 back in Tempe, AZ! she was hilarious then, and even more hilarious now!
I believe the joke that got her kicked out of the church circuit was, "I'll have you know, in bed I am a wild animal... yeah, WAY more afraid of you than you are of me." And that's the joke that made me go, "Does she have a special? She might be my new favorite."

Weirdly, that's also how a lot of alternative/metal bands get their start too! As one might expect, you don't need a lot of talent to get on the "Christian circuit" whether it be music or comedy (since the draw is not from the music or comedy, it's from something totally unrelated to one's talent: their godliness...whatever that means). Lucky for Taylor, she _is_ actually super talented! so I'd say getting booted is the best thing that could have ever happened to her :)
I love watching comedians who are so casual that it feels like they're just having a conversation with you. Not anxiously going through rehearsed lines.

@@helrisonn The stereotype is that the person who gets pregnant in high school isn't ready to be a parent. As such, she says that she was forced to parent herself too early in life, and is desperately trying to hold it together. "JUST. STOP. CRYING. please? Just.... oh no, now I'm crying too" and so on and so forth.
She started that bit saying she's learning "reparent" herself. It's a therapy technique, to help learn to undo some of the negative aspects of childhood etc.
That's why she said "pregnant with herself"...as if she's reparenting from that start!
I love a good callback and I remember when I first saw this set on her Instagram, the peanut butter bit absolutely killed me.

No matter how many times I watch this, the lines about antidepressants & about 40 mins of TikTok hit me in the r/FunnyButSad feels every time.
Then I showed this video my mom, and she (1) laughed so hard I had to pause because she couldn't hear the video over her own laughter, and (2) right at the start she immediately went "your aunt got bangs. She regrets them." which essentially confirms everything Taylor said about people instantly sliding into DMs to check on you post-bangs-selfie.

I think that your jokes as a whole are gender agnostic…as in, guys can relate, girls can relate. Your long sets have a really great flow where you capture the audiences attention for the entirety. There is no awkward “neediness”. Potentially, you are going to transcend funny and become one of the worlds greats. Look forward to watching your journey. Good luck. You’ve got this 👊👊
