Amazing explore matt&Andy, a few things for you, the word you might be looking for about the wooden furniture/fireplaces was minimalist, but some of the fires looked art deco to me. Above the doorway where the building date was, grapes/leaves etc where used years ago to signify that a family was wealthy, as back in those days fruit was still classed as exotic rare and a total luxury so by having those decorations on your house, shows the family was very well off. Also the film you was thinking about is called shallow grave about 3 flatmate friends who find their other friend dead but loaded with money, it starred Christopher Eccleston, Keith Allen, kerry fox and some other big names, an it was directed by Danny boyle, so this film is a loose connection to trainspotting.
I honestly have to say, you two just make my sides hurt from start to finish. The funniest abandoned, history vids on CZcams. You two make us binge watch 😘

Starting at 32:36 if you look at the banister, there's handprints in the dust. From the person hiding I assume.
I didn't think Matt needed the potteries anymore since he stopped eating takeaway.
The lens on top of the piano was likely from a slide and/or film projector.

Great explore, and congratulations on going independent Matt. The room names in the first building are potteries and potters, and Churchill and Gladstone were UK PMs. My grandmother had a sifter like the ones in the kitchen, for flour. Sad about all the trapped bees. Keep up the good work!

Discussion point...if you were a woman (or a man for that matter), trying to escape a man/woman who was violent (physically or mentally)...would it be acceptable to go homeless, with kids, under those circumstances?
I don't think any right minded person would aggrieve someone in such a situation personally...and it happens, it happens all the time.
It's fair to say that the local authorities are also woefully under-prepared for such scenarios too.

Well now. We follow a couple in the paranormal field called The Ouija Brothers, who had investigated the college, like you, and captured the very same sound of walking, as Andy had described!!! They too felt spooked as if someone was in there. Suffice to say, was it inhuman?

A former owner’s wife was murdered here in 1952. Her murderer was sentenced to death and was hung at Winson Green prison in Birmingham on Tuesday, December 23, 1952.
Former police inspector Alf Robbins was first on the scene of the grizly murder.
In a subsequent interview with local newspaper ‘The Sentinel’ in 1998 he stated:
"I went into the kitchen where the assault had begun. There on the floor I spotted wet shoe prints, which were very clear and had a horizontal pattern across the sole.
"This was most unusual footwear and I reckoned straight away that the marks had been made by the person responsible for the murder”.
The police established that the murderer had rifled around upstairs to steal property.
Matt and Andy spend half the video convinced there is someone in the house with them, and, gasp shock horror, Matt finds fresh wet footprints with a horizontal pattern across the sole on top of an upstairs toilet seat!
Bizarre coincidence or the unseen ghost of a murderer!?

That beautiful curly wood on the piano is just gorgeous, but the furniture factory where I worked, (huge ugly company), always made us reject and throw away the curly maple. It hurt my heart.

Hi Matt and Andy i just watched Exploring with Mellor. He did the house by day and called his vlog, '' a woman was murdered here'' the sheer amounts of knocks and bangs in his explore was phenomenal. I love art nouvous, Art Deco and arts and crafts. I’d love to own an arts and craft home. Hoping your slipped disc pain gets better soon. I know how you feel as my whole spine is fusing together and at the moment I have four slipped discs, a third of my spine has fused, so no discs, and the rest are small and deteriorating. Servants bell above the fire, to open up the back of the fire, is a handle inside the fire, either at the top ( under the mantle) or at the bottom of the fire grate, get Andy to ask his mum how they opened up the back boiler on the fire, if she had one when she grew up

Beautiful place. Yes Broadwood pianos are fairly pricey, more so in good condition for the grand pianos. They are one of the oldest piano makers in England from the mid/late 1700's. Beethoven owned a Broadwood piano. Queen Victoria had Broadwood's. This piano manufacturer helped the innovation of the modern piano we have now.

You need to get referred for a bone density scan done to see if you have osteopenia in your back, osteoarthritis, if so you might need to take vitamin D tablets, calcium tablets, get a tens machine helps or deep heat rub on or heat pads that go around your back.
I've had a bone density scan and I've been diagnosed with osteoporosis and I'm waiting on some injection from the hospital, so it could very well be that.
Andy could of been effected from one of the old people what died in the home back in the day you was both stood in his bedroom all their names on the door for the staff to know what room to go to see them but not their real names on the doors ! It could of been a home what abused patients or clients we call them now Carnt emagine living in a little room on my own have you seen the price of them I couldn’t afford one of them to be looked after lol you hear loads about the seniors nursing homes xx

Well said Margaret darling, there is unfortunately to many abandoned and dilapidated buildings, an ever growing council waiting list and a ever increasing issue with homelessness. Alot of people cast dispersions onto the 'homeless' oh they're all druggies, alcoholics, its self inflicted etc where as that's not the case, alot of homeless could be ex military with ptsd, women or men escaping from domestic abuse, some traumatic event that's happened to them and sort of made them fearful of the world etc lots of reasons, so thankyou from myself an I'm sure matt and andy too, for saying that people take things for granted. Especially with the covid, flaring tensions with Russia Ukraine etc we just all need to learn to get on all together regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, religion and accept a person for who they are as a individual.
