- Walking round an abandoned house is creepy most of the time, But when you know awful abuse took place within those very four walls it’s even harder to stomach… The abandoned vicarage holds all the ghosts of its past and a lot of bad energy from terrible acts… but as you will see it did pass on that pain to Matt!

To be honest that was inevitable but with all the dangerous unsafe buildings you've been in you managed to fall down a set of solid carpeted stairs, it could have been a lot worse. I know it shakes you up a bit.

Holy water from Lourdes is free, people tend to buy the Virgin Mary bottles as souvenirs and fill them, however holy water can be collected in any receptacle available. Priests use holy water to bless houses for people who have moved into a new house to rid them of any lingering spirits. This property is typical of a priests house, usually multiple bedrooms from the days when parishes had curates but also for visiting priests, as you mentioned.
Matt you were extremely lucky! Ten weeks ago I tripped over and broke my foot, still recovering, you could have quite easily been seriously injured. Get well soon (I’ve also had broken ribs so I know the pain 😩)

Hello from Washington State, USA. I thought the same thing as you: something pushed Matt, and it pushed him hard. He even made a "hup" sound, like the air was shoved from his lungs because of the sudden pressure on his back.
It's not easy to just tumble down stairs like that. Most people throw out their hands and try to slide/stop with their legs and grab at the railing or wall. I know: I fell down about eight steps and broke three of my toes. I also lacerated the skin across my big toe and needed ten sutures. It was not fun at all. But I kind of slid down awkwardly and stopped myself sideways in the stairwell.
Matt didn't have a chance. People don't tumble violently like that unless they are pushed, and I firmly believe that he was pushed. He's lucky to have walked away with just a fractured rib, even though his spine is jacked up even more now. He's lucky he didn't break his neck or puncture a lung!

Of all the dangerous buildings you've been in, a smoke detector mount almost did ya in. I'm glad you're ok, that was terrifying!
When you said you were off for a ladder for that attic I assumed it'd be a fall from that....only Matt can slip on undamaged, normal, carpeted stairs....Andy laughing though, I'd do the same.....glad you're ok though Matt.....take it easy and go careful x
Oh my Goodness Matt.. I didnt see your fall coming and all the way down too. I also didnt see anything at the top of the stairs for you to trip or stand on that would make you fall...mmm? You are a very lucky man to only have 1 cracked rib after that fall.. Aww, Matt, I hope you're healing well. I cracked a few ribs and I was in agony for two weeks, took about 3 months before I healed completely.

All the way through I thought you'd be getting hurt by running away from police maybe jumping out a window, then when you saw the loft door I thought oh God he's going to fall through the ceiling 😞 but no it was the stairs which I never thought of. I hope you're better soon Matt x

Saint John Fisher’s Story -
John Fisher is usually associated with Erasmus, Thomas More, and other Renaissance humanists. His life therefore, did not have the external simplicity found in the lives of some saints. Rather, he was a man of learning, associated with the intellectuals and political leaders of his day. He was interested in the contemporary culture and eventually became chancellor at Cambridge. He had been made a bishop at 35, and one of his interests was raising the standard of preaching in England. Fisher himself was an accomplished preacher and writer. His sermons on the penitential psalms were reprinted seven times before his death. With the coming of Lutheranism, he was drawn into controversy. His eight books against heresy gave him a leading position among European theologians.
In 1521, Fisher was asked to study the question of King Henry VIII’s marriage to Catherine of Aragon, his brother’s widow. He incurred Henry’s anger by defending the validity of the king’s marriage with Catherine, and later by rejecting Henry’s claim to be the supreme head of the Church of England.
In an attempt to be rid of him, Henry first had Fisher accused of not reporting all the “revelations” of the nun of Kent, Elizabeth Barton. In feeble health, Fisher was summoned to take the oath to the new Act of Succession. He and Thomas More refused to do so because the Act presumed the legality of Henry’s divorce and his claim to be head of the English Church. They were sent to the Tower of London, where Fisher remained 14 months without trial. Finally both men were sentenced to life imprisonment and loss of goods.
When the two were called to further interrogations, they remained silent. On the supposition that he was speaking privately as a priest, Fisher was tricked into declaring again that the king was not supreme head of the church in England. The king, further angered that the pope had made John Fisher a cardinal, had him brought to trial on the charge of high treason. He was condemned and executed, his body left to lie all day on the scaffold and his head hung on London Bridge. More was executed two weeks later.

Helpful hint...if anyone is removing artex(?) the stuff from the ceiling with asbestos, you can spray the ceiling with water, wet it down first, then you won’t breathe the dust while you remove it. Perfectly safe that way with proper mask.

You can get Holy Water from a Well in a place called Holywell in Flintshire it's the Lourdes of Wales. It's well known for its healing properties and there are Pilgrimages to it all the time. Jump in and it will cure your ribs. Get well soon.

Oh no! So sorry you fell and got injured. I think with ribs all you can do is take painkillers and rest and the rib should heal on it's own.
Oh Matt I hope ur ok! I felt so bad cause I was laughing so hard thinking u dropped the camera. I thought that was all that happened cause the camera was filming all the way down. Im so sorry this happened. I tripped over my cat recently and had my hands full. I didnt want to drop my food so I thought since im short and already close to the ground I wont put my arm out, drop my food, to break my fall. Well I landed on my ribs on the stairs up to my bedroom. I head a loud crack. Wood that hurt. Just happened to have a Dr.'s appointment the next day so he ordered an X-ray and sure enough I had cracked my right 9th rib. That was like 6 months ago and it still hurts. Anyway I feel ur pain and I hope u feel better soon! Lynette from California

I can sympathise with you Matt I crack my ribs all the time due to a non smoking lung disease and the violent coughing cracks them and it takes ages for them to heal especially as I cough violently all the time. They don’t do anything for them either. Did they tell you to take paracetamol for the pain? Lol Only advice I can give is for your to take it easy and put a soft pillow behind the damaged ribs when you sit or go to sleep. Other than that it’s a case of suck it up buttercup!! We northern stock are made of tough stuff a cracked rib or 6 in my case doesn’t keep us down!! Sending gentle healing hugs and love xx
Jesus Matt! Hell of a tumble! Hope you are okay and get some rest! Wrap those ribs right with an ace bandage and it will help support when you breathe or cough. They say it doesn’t do any good, but I have had quite a few and it works wonders. Please be safe now and rest. You poor thing! God bless.
