That ‘thing’ with the writing on it is a memorial to the first Mother Superior of the religious order of nuns - she was titled as the First Abbess - it might well contain her mortal remains, as it is somewhat coffin shaped.
The cabinet on the altar is a ciborium (also called a tabernacle) and holds the wafers, holy water and wine for use during the ceremony of Mass/Eucharist.
That place is not abandoned - it is probably between owners - far too clean to be abandoned!
The safe is a tabernacle. It keeps the body of christ in that is given out during mass. Usually find chalices in there.
Great explore. Really nice building. I think andy got penance for saying Jesus Christ by the tree taking a chunk out of his head just after he said it. 😂
It’s such a shame the nuns graves are so over grown and unkempt…..I always find graveyards like that fascinating and I’d love to see more of it!
Yep completely overgrown and some of them you can’t even see.

I love the chairs!! Those ceilings are amazing!! I love the bedroom. The chandelier was grand! The bed awesome! Everything about this place is grand!! I’m loving it all! The furniture is gorgeous all over…I truly love it!! I wonder if people come in and dust in there because it doesn’t look like a lot of dust is on it. The furniture is immaculate!! I love the staircase too!! ❤❤. The mattresses on the beds look new!! I love the bed styles. When that bat came flying out the gasp Matt made had me laughing so hard!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. I loved the lighting in the original chapel!! It was really beautiful!! Another grand explore, Matt, Andy, and Bear!! ❤❤❤

Just amazing as always whether it’s a dump or a mansion! I’m from the US and fell in love with watching you guys! Andy you and I were born in the same year 1966! BTW the US has hot and cold taps everywhere and even in the 60’s we had both! Love you guys and of course adorable Bear too!

Hi guys! Great explore! I’ve only lived in one place that had a combination tap handle. I’ve mostly lived in houses that had the individual hot and cold tap handles. I now live in a 80 year old farm house and having to replace the kitchen tap has proven challenging as finding a individual hot cold double tap handle faucet is hard to find here in America, or it has been for me! I loved that claw foot tub!! Now that’s a bathtub!! Be safe guys! Give bear a hug for me!

Really cool video as usual. Shame you didn't go any deeper into where the nuns graves are. I live in the area and a little further into the woods is a grotto carved into the mountain with tunnels and strange carvings in the stone of a cyclops, dragons and even a sitting area with a skeleton wrapped around it. Also what looks like a monk but his head is missing. Great video guys keep them coming. ❤

I think this is the place where there is a grotto cave system on the grounds, I recognise the overgrown graveyard from other channel's ghost hunting videos. Maybe I'm wrong but the graveyard of nuns throws people, as they don't realise the abandoned house is nearby.

It’s been abandoned a couple of years if you notice the ceiling had fallen in on the top of the stairs

That painting who you said could be napoleon 😮 is are very own Lord Nelson admiral of the Royal navy back in the day and the other painting in the same room is the Duke of Wellington probably two of are most famous military leaders, your welcome

That was fantastic especially going up to the bell tower, my husband is a campanologist and I bet when all eight bells were ringing it would have sounded wonderful. Like you said some of the rooms were quite disappointing but nevertheless a great video and lovely to see Bear waddling around 😅.

Aloha Matt & Andy & Bear! Sadly that place was mostly "🐀-less' for Bear. What type of Bird makes such "big, twiggy nests? That house was huge, they used a lot of gold spray paint( I think)! Thats funny the Security guard thought you were "Ratting"🐀😊 Bear is very convincing! Great video!
