Amazing 👏🏿. Now teach other black communities how to do the same.

When he mention black women. I cant be bothered " because its mostly westernized women" and look at how a whole lot of crap be thrusted onto them, and its not all of them....I hate the generalization, and im a traditional feminine female. We need to classify better
True.100%
@@Vision-eg2hlI know many beautiful black women that are very feminine
They are talking about their own experiences that have nothing to do with you...if you listen with the intention to hear from their perspective not with your feelings... black women I have dated personally are all witches and iam from South Africa so that's my experience does it mean all black South African women are witches no
Freedom of choice in the west...one has a choice to follow radical feminism or not. Just my opinion
Classification won't fix anything. You need to outshine them
Shout out to the Kenganda Team, special shout out to Joan for building it up.
Jonita is telling Black womens story. Those are the same reasons our mothers and grandmothers told us to work and always save something for yourselves. You don't want to end up on the street with nothing if that man dies or leaves you.
I love the questions the only female on the podcast, ask why are female doing a masculine job? That's the question black men need to ask themselves.

If Blk women had Blk men who were capable of leading, they would allow it. Yt women usually choose men who have something to offer. If he had nothing to offer, they would not have even looked his way. If he had come to a Blk woman with the same things he came to the yt women he speaks of, she would more than likely have allowed him to lead.

Brother Oshay really delivered in this episode. His points were thought-provoking and it's evident that he's been reflecting on this issue in our community for a significant period of time.
My bro! We need to do a part 2 of the middleman episode lol
Oshay great points with the group analysis wrt Respect accorded to Black Men from Black Women.

I’m not a feminist by any means….. but I do subscribe to womanism ideologies... the difference is, womanism is "family-oriented" and focuses on race, class, and gender, while feminism is "female-oriented" and strictly focuses on biological sex-related issues women and girls face worldwide. Feminism lacks Intersectionality and often causes rifts between men and women, and in my mind was never meant for Black women, (feminism, was originally meant for white women's empowerment in their subjugated traditional roles, with their men, black men and women never had those issues, because we were both oppressed particularly the Americas, the Caribbean ,and in some countries in Africa, due to colonialism and slavery) however womanism addresses all facets of life that Intersects the lives Black women and even non- Black women face without causing riffs in families and relationships, without disturbing traditions, while addressing the needs of women. ..... I don't think any Black woman should be a feminist due to its racist origins, and how it is often tone deaf ,even today.... and I agree with what the lady said ,"most women today take on masculine roles, because there is a deficit of protection in those areas that are needed from their men therefore they take on those roles"......(I believe this is coming from a heterosexual woman perspective)......some women that grew up in traditional roles in certain cultures, may have silently suffered due to the inequity and ill treatment of women in their culture, (most of these cultures are staunchly patriarchal without giving women many rights to speak up for themselves ) and at some point there was a breaking point for some of these women to seek advocacy.. Just because women were brought up in certain cultures to "behave" a certain way does not mean that they are necessarily OK with it, and in certain cultures, women are often subjected to mistreatment, such as spousal abuse, economic manipulation and neglect, etc. just because these things were done for a long time does not mean that all women are OK with it. Mind you not all women in these cultures experience these things but these things do happen. So some of these women find ways to empower themselves and liberate themselves from the situation. One thing men need to know is that submission is earned not demanded. Because women are people too, that deserve to be valued just as much as any man and cherished just as much as any man as well..... that respect and value go both ways, neither outweighs the other.
Oshey preaching the gospel
We need to put black women and African in a different bracket.
I come from that Kenyan tribe said not to be submissive. All my 3 sisters are married to men from other tribes while I am married to my own. It's true if a man is not providing they will be the first to walk out and go hustle out there. My observation has bn, Kikuyu girls still lead in marrying outside their tribe and remain first preference to their men coz women from other tribes claim our men are stingy. So it's a win-win😂😂.

In my experience, femininity surfaces when masculinity shows up. But who determines femininity? We may have been indoctrinated into what the manifestations of femininity look like. That attitude exhibited by Black women can be attractive...and feminine.
Black men have never been in a position to be men (in the US) so, it disrupts the organic development of womanhood.
"...benefit off the White mans work..."? I thought white men benefitted off of everybody else.
It's amazing how we praise white women for being submissive and they were/are at the forefront of the feminist movement. White men are even divesting from the "equality" of white women. Explain that.
Modernity does not encourage procreation or functional organic relationships. Marinate for a minute on that one.
I think there should be a distinction between African American women and African woman. African American women are extremely feminine in fact African women copy many current trends from African American women. Also African American women have historically been wonderful wives mothers and caregivers. There are plenty of African women who are not wives.
I think people should make a distinction between African women and Black American women because the two groups are different. African women are some of the most feminine women in the world, which has a lot to do with culture. African women are raised to be wives, whilst black American women are for the most part raised by single mothers who have no experience being wives, and their daughters are raised to fend for themselves, without examples of male influence in their families, this is why Black American women tend not to be submissive as compared to other groups of women.
My only issues with your statement is that African women are raised to be wives in ways yes but majority of the time are forced to be wives especially at a young age in Africa
there are plenty of abandoned single mothers in Africa
@samuisun66 Point is there are still men to head the community, there IS a community and other men step in to help single mothers. Black American men seem to hate children even the ones they make unless they are mixed race. Then again even the mixed race kids are growing up and speaking against them.
@@asaking1314 Africa is a continent of 1.4 billion population with 54 countries, you pick isolated incidents and tag them as "Africa"!!!! When I say "raised to be wives" I mean they are groomed through their mothers, aunts and other elderly women in the family, through examples set young women grow up to understand the attributes of marriage.
@@asaking1314 "Majority of the time are forced to be wives", what are you smoking man!!!!
Oshay won't tell you a lot of those latino men was making crums from the start and there women are on there side.
Wherever you find masculine women you find a society of deasculated men.🌄🦍
PLS allow me to say this.
When one says the 'world has changed' let's be clear that the earth itself has and will always be what we as humans have caused it to be!
As human, beings we have and will continue to faulter when it comes to accountability.
Just as we have evolved from trade/bantering our necesities from cattle-gold to a promisoury-note, on all front the powers-that-be have manipulated where we are today.
A people that give freely is an individual that has a kind heart and could be easily manipulated. Where we are now is what all has come to accept which is 'the strong will have the upperhand'!
So we are now in society where the week are totally being dismantle one way or other for the stuff that they have.
Hopefully one may see what I mean....
Thank you.
First you got to understand the man present situation for ifvhe is living with an aggressive, cantankerous sista he will feel that way. No man wants a woman who would challenge his authority but enforce hers.
Black Communities aroundcthe wirld are different. African and Afro-Latina womem are feminine, its the Anglo-BW who are masculine and aggressive. Not all, but a high enough percentage for it to be a problem.

Oshay still ot some wack attitudes towards women has a fictional White woman in his head comparing us. .
Black groups have been affected by subjugation in the past . Leadership is not given it is taken . Therefore any group or demographic that wants to lead should take the risk like Magic Johnson and they will find people including ladies that align with their principles . Obama run for office with the support of Michelle . Same with Samuel L Jackson who was at one time more broke than his spouse but they shared values and principles and vision .
As someone said in the chatroom, submission is misdefined for respect. A woman owes respect to every man including strangers but owes submission to her husband and her male relatives. Being soft is Part of femininity not the Whole.
Women do not pour concrete or perform masonry professions. Women do not perform manual labour jobs here in Canada, I haven’t scene a commercial female plumber yet. I haven’t seen a women driving a garbage truck. Stop blaming men stop blaming women it’s clear that even when young black women start earning more money there isn’t anything wrong with that BUT why start trying to stunt on black men? Instead of using the money you earn to help him improve both your lives so you can sit back and watch that man work for you???
No matter what you believe it’s facts that because there are different genders there are GENDER ROLES….
Common sense isn’t so common it seems
Let's talk about protecting the community. A time when blue collar men would pick up arms and protect the community.9-5 men in the black American community are hated so why would they protect you.
They are hated for the chaos they created and still continue. Stop blaming bw for your actions towards her. Please be responsible, do better as a man and you will be respected in the long run
@@moveone9013 what chaos did the blue collar man create.
Stop lying on hard working 9-5 blue collar men, they fought against domestic terrorist back in the day and some of them lost their lives and in return people like you lie on them and some people made movies like The Color Purple which is a big lie.

Black women are less feminine on average for sure.
For one thing they are more boisterous, louder, more physical than women of most other races. This is interpreted as boyishness.
They can also be pretty rough with their children, violent and loud and the violence happens very quickly. Short fuses really.
But I think it depends on income levels. Poorer black women are less feminine in my book than middle class/rich and well educated.
That’s true for other races of women too - the class
Culture is the biggest reason as to why women are the way they are. While lack of money can expose you to things that may harden you, at the end of the day, money makes you more comfortable being what you already are. Boss chicks din’t become less masculine when they get the bag. If anything, it quite the contrary, they become more unbearable. Passport bros wouldn’t go overseas in 3 rd world countries looking for wives if poverty made you more masculine.
Black American women do put up with a lot but only for spooky and Ray Ray. If he got a ankle brace on her and the white man can control him. And she loves that.
Whaaaaaaat?
@@LetsTravellChannel oops in a hurry I meant ankle brace on his ankle. Probation.
Black American men can't read or write above a 5th grade level and commit the majority of the violent crime in the USA despite being only 6% of the population. Black American men also abandon their Black children at a 77% rate and their bi-racial children at a 92% rate.
