    I’m not a feminist by any means….. but I do subscribe to womanism ideologies... the difference is, womanism is "family-oriented" and focuses on race, class, and gender, while feminism is "female-oriented" and strictly focuses on biological sex-related issues women and girls face worldwide. Feminism lacks Intersectionality and often causes rifts between men and women, and in my mind was never meant for Black women, (feminism, was originally meant for white women's empowerment in their subjugated traditional roles, with their men, black men and women never had those issues, because we were both oppressed particularly the Americas, the Caribbean ,and in some countries in Africa, due to colonialism and slavery) however womanism addresses all facets of life that Intersects the lives Black women and even non- Black women face without causing riffs in families and relationships, without disturbing traditions, while addressing the needs of women. ..... I don't think any Black woman should be a feminist due to its racist origins, and how it is often tone deaf ,even today.... and I agree with what the lady said ,"most women today take on masculine roles, because there is a deficit of protection in those areas that are needed from their men therefore they take on those roles"......(I believe this is coming from a heterosexual woman perspective)......some women that grew up in traditional roles in certain cultures, may have silently suffered due to the inequity and ill treatment of women in their culture, (most of these cultures are staunchly patriarchal without giving women many rights to speak up for themselves ) and at some point there was a breaking point for some of these women to seek advocacy.. Just because women were brought up in certain cultures to "behave" a certain way does not mean that they are necessarily OK with it, and in certain cultures, women are often subjected to mistreatment, such as spousal abuse, economic manipulation and neglect, etc. just because these things were done for a long time does not mean that all women are OK with it. Mind you not all women in these cultures experience these things but these things do happen. So some of these women find ways to empower themselves and liberate themselves from the situation. One thing men need to know is that submission is earned not demanded. Because women are people too, that deserve to be valued just as much as any man and cherished just as much as any man as well..... that respect and value go both ways, neither outweighs the other.

    In my experience, femininity surfaces when masculinity shows up. But who determines femininity? We may have been indoctrinated into what the manifestations of femininity look like. That attitude exhibited by Black women can be attractive...and feminine.
    Black men have never been in a position to be men (in the US) so, it disrupts the organic development of womanhood.
    "...benefit off the White mans work..."? I thought white men benefitted off of everybody else.
    It's amazing how we praise white women for being submissive and they were/are at the forefront of the feminist movement. White men are even divesting from the "equality" of white women. Explain that.
    Modernity does not encourage procreation or functional organic relationships. Marinate for a minute on that one.

    I think there should be a distinction between African American women and African woman. African American women are extremely feminine in fact African women copy many current trends from African American women. Also African American women have historically been wonderful wives mothers and caregivers. There are plenty of African women who are not wives.

  • @chachi1843
    @chachi1843 Před rokem +15

    I think people should make a distinction between African women and Black American women because the two groups are different. African women are some of the most feminine women in the world, which has a lot to do with culture. African women are raised to be wives, whilst black American women are for the most part raised by single mothers who have no experience being wives, and their daughters are raised to fend for themselves, without examples of male influence in their families, this is why Black American women tend not to be submissive as compared to other groups of women.

    Black women are less feminine on average for sure.
    For one thing they are more boisterous, louder, more physical than women of most other races. This is interpreted as boyishness.
    They can also be pretty rough with their children, violent and loud and the violence happens very quickly. Short fuses really.
    But I think it depends on income levels. Poorer black women are less feminine in my book than middle class/rich and well educated.

While lack of money can expose you to things that may harden you, at the end of the day, money makes you more comfortable being what you already are. Boss chicks din’t become less masculine when they get the bag. If anything, it quite the contrary, they become more unbearable. Passport bros wouldn’t go overseas in 3 rd world countries looking for wives if poverty made you more masculine.

    Black American women do put up with a lot but only for spooky and Ray Ray. If he got a ankle brace on her and the white man can control him. And she loves that.

    I come from that Kenyan tribe said not to be submissive. All my 3 sisters are married to men from other tribes while I am married to my own. It's true if a man is not providing they will be the first to walk out and go hustle out there. My observation has bn, Kikuyu girls still lead in marrying outside their tribe and remain first preference to their men coz women from other tribes claim our men are stingy. So it's a win-win😂😂.
