As a Congolese men it's very common in French speaking countries like Congo, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Cameroon. A lot of African woman hang out with old white men (but also Arabs, Indians , Lebanese, Chinese)
It's not only for the money because a lot of foreigners are not rich (the extreme majority of rich foreigners people in Africa have their wives in their own country). African woman want mixed babies so bad and the foreigners know it so they can have ALL the 10 if they want to. But after impregnate them they want nothing to do with them. This is why you can see more and more single mother African women with mixed babies. Sad but it is what it is they view them like gods.
Brother its so true. I am Zimbabwean living in the US. I remember going to Angola to meet an Angolan friend and we went out with his boss who was an Indian but born in Angola. Anyways the Indian guy suggested we go to a local spot with live Congolese music. I saw so many guys that were light skinned and the India guy who had been to Zimbabwe remarked how Congolese women were great but then also said a lot of them as well as their men liked to use bleaching creams. I was taken aback but fast forward 20 years later some of our women bought into that bullcrap. One thing i can say for sure I know of no Zimbabwean men who bleaches their skin but sure they may be a few out there. It is a sad reality of mental colonization. And those kids have to navigate a life of being different without a father around. Same thing happens with some African Americans too, they want to have that yellow or light skin baby.
We hold our men to higher standards and want to drop it just cause the man is pale? Please also us as sisters we need to check ourselves.

I have been to China and Americans sometimes are confused when they see Chinese students in college towns with an umbrella where there is no signs of rain around. I had to tell a few friends they were not expecting rain but just did not want to get a tan which is hilarious because white people are happy to be in the sun to tan their skin. Crazy how the world works. The best advice to any young people out there, just love yourself and dont let no social media or tx define to you what beauty is. When it comes to dating, Somali women are generally expected to marry within their own tribe. This is because Somali culture places a high value on family ties and community, and dating outside of one's tribe is often viewed as bringing shame to both the woman and her family. The fear of being shamed by the wider community is a major reason why Somali women typically don’t date outside their tribe, and especially if the person is visibly white.

In this particular situation I'm very disappointed in African men and women, for suddenly losing their pride. This Ugandan man is right next to a Ugandan woman and he says he doesn't care, she is free to be with the colonizers. The white man will always be in Ugandan, and Kenya, for that black gold, and I don't mean oil.

People are talking about poverty but nobody is addressing the biggest elephant in the room. The way somme East African men treat their women is appalling and sometimes absolutely horrific. Physical, emotional and financial abuse, especially with the women who unfortunately choose to be stay at home wives and moothers. It's equivalent to a death sentence or a life sentence with no chance of parole. I am tanzanian and across the East, you have either read these reports, heard about them or personally know someone (friend, family member, acquaintance) who has gone through or is still going through this. Men abandoning their own children even in cases where they're married is also commonplace. Sone of us also watched our mothers and/or grandmothers go through any and/or all these things.
White men are not perfect. But compared to wwgat i have grown up seeing we would rather take our chances. We see those who succeeded living happily in healthy relationships. Why wouldn't we want that too?

Beyond sensationalism, a 20 year old with a 70 year old does not pass the smell test whether the man is white or black. I am a black Zimbabwean. The issue here is poverty is global and how one decides to deal with their predicament is up to the individual. The Ugandan guy actually made a lot of sense. It is personal choice and when one is an adult there is nothing you can do about it. Also mentioning the Lebanese, Indian or other foreigners being homegenous sounds nice but if you peel the onion these are societies with major issues.
The skin bleaching creams are huge in Asia and most are manufactured out of India. It is sad because they can cause cancer but speaks to the mental colonization that the Europeans did to the rest of the world. Also within India itself there are major rifts and racism between the different castes and off course the darker skinned Indians get the raw end of the stick. Africans are known to be tolerant and I love that about us as long as we dont allow ourselves to be abused. Some Arabs or Muslims have a thing called honor killings where they will kill their own daughter or sister for going out with a black man or any foreigner for that matter. Does that sound like people we should look up to. Hell no.
Also i would be remiss to not notice that swirling or interracial relations are at an all time high as Oshay likes to say in his own country of the US as well as Maintain's UK which takes the cake in my opinion, coutnries which i know very well about.
The last thing I will say is I have travelled to Asia, Carribean , South and Central America etc and in all these places older white men with young local women as well as older white women with young men is a thing and just the reality of life. It is about resouces and white men (who have exploited the whole world to their advantage) are top of the food chain. Not all of them, some of them are bums but for a poor uneducated girl will not know that indeed there are lots of white people who are way poorer than black people in the US, UK etc.
Personally i am in the top 10% of earners in the US accoridng to governement statistics. Black people are only 15% or so of the total US population. There are many black people who are economically well off than a whole lot of white men, asian men, indian and other group of men. By the way if the Nigerian man was accusing Kenyan women of worshipping white men I wonder what he thinks about others like me who wonder if Nigerians ( not all) worship money yet are also super religious.

However, since you’ve mentioned it, I’ll provide my own take. I agree that for the moment (next 50-100 years), it’s in our best interest to stick with black folks. I married a white woman when I was a very young and naive man. I no longer believe in the some fantastical sentiment that “we’re created equal” mindset; the world doesn’t believe it. Although I’d never divorce my wife, I made that commitment, but I highly discourage interracial relationships unless you absolutely understand the breadth of the situation that you’re signing up for. I’m sure having an old crusty yt man who gives you an allowance and a life of ease beats having an African local man who expects his woman to be ok sharing his resources with other women in a polygamy with little to no romance while she is being expected to be a work horse and a baby machine.

Even one of the local woman we hired screensaver was of YT Jesus. They still teach colonial history in the countries I been in 2023. I as an AA knew more about African history than the people I met in Africa. Until Africans get a clue this will continue. I heard the same response from an Asian male blogger about guys who go to Thailand pick and marry Thai women that most local Asian guys would date or marry. Some of the reasons are: (#1)The women act too western. (#2) The women usually have kids that live in the province with their families. (#3) Some of the Asian women who get pick by western men, while nice, are not viewed by local Asian men to be as beautiful from the local Asian men view.
