- The Acer Predator Orion 3000 is small but powerful gaming PC, packing an Intel i7-8700 CPU and Nvidia GTX 1070 graphics. In this review we’ll go through gaming performance in 8 different games at all settings levels at 1080p and 1440p resolutions, and see how much we can increase FPS with overclocking. I’ll also cover temperatures, system power draw, and noise levels to help you decide if the Orion 3000 desktop PC is worth it for the price.

The second Far Cry 5 graph at 10:47 is meant to list the resolution at 1440p, not 1080p.
should i get too 2080's or 2 1080 tis
Personally with that budget I'd get a single 2080 Ti, single card is almost always preferable to dual cards, lots of compatibility problems with SLI and not many games actually scale well, depends on how the developers implement multi GPU support, some don't do it at all and actually see lower FPS with 2x cards. That said I'd probably go 2x 2080s if those are the only options.
brownies rock single 2080ti
Or dual 2080s, if u need the power
Single 2080ti
Will be easier on ur psu
And
Better for compatibility reasons
And more reasons
Heat also
And, 1 card is just plan more efficient
You think i can run a game and stream and record on this at the same time?
@@AP-qn4ex Tbh, you should just build one
a pc for 1700 bucks with a gtx 1070 is garbage.
But it could depending on the game
I just love how oems motherboards are always green... and how they keep the dvd drive box always ....

pablo rdz - it’s only for cost savings, green pcbs are cheaper to mass produce than custom colored ones
Thanks! Yeah I assume most people buying prebuilt won't open it up anyway so may as well save cost instead of making it look nicer.
@@TechWithSean They are but they are also not so expensive to change the color. It's like when they don't color some PSUs when it's more expensive to do so, but it's just a few cents probably... Just a thought, not trying to hate :P

For the past 10 Yrs I have always built my own Pc's. I decided to get the Acer Orion 3000 as it seemed like a solid pre-built system from the reviews I watched, including this one. I bought mine form Harvey Norman for $2598 and it has a NVidia RTX 2070 8GB video card. I have had the system for 2 weeks now, done much testing and I really cant fault it. It handles everything I play and do and the best thing is I have a 3yr full replacement warranty on both it and the Acer X34P i got with it. The X34P is heading back as it still has the flicker issue when running at 120hz...... I actually thought Acer had resolved this issue but when i ran Belarc adviser, the build date of my monitor is 2016 so its going back, but thumbs up for the Orion 3000 if any one is looking to buy one.
Also mate, great review, very informative and clean. Cheers
Thanks! Good to hear it's going well 👍
good to hear that its good from a pc builder veteran like u
Hey if you see my reply. I'm 14 and I'm wondering is this a good pc? For 600-700 bucks on 2023 just looking for my first pc that can run every game at 60fps 1080p. Oh and an edit I found this pc but with a GTX 1660 and an i5 12400f. At 669€.

Hey man huge fan. im thinking about getting a pc and i was wondering; what would you say is the best budget pc you've reviewed?
I have this pc for a while now, i can run all my games with no problems on high/ultra. With an 9th generation Intel i-5 9400f and nvidia geforce gtx 1660 16gb graphics card. I only use it for gaming.
Can i run Prepar3d or flight simulator 2020 on this computer? And another Question can i upgrade to I7 prossesor or not?
Awesome video mate

Recently found a couple of these for sale second hand (including the later i7-9700/GTX1660Ti model) and was looking around YT about concerning the case and found your channel. If I do purchase one of them, I guess the first thing in order is to put it in an entirely new case lol Though I'm wondering, does having the m.2 slot in use disable one of the SATA ports?

Okay new to the world of PC gaming and graduating from a console.
Does this product outperform the Xbox series x with the I7 11700F and RTX 3700? I’m seeing many conflicting things. The specs seem to say no?
Got this PC for 20% off the original price, nice and easy. As for the comments of people suggesting the person who buys this will never look inside, I would disagree. For me at least, I couldn’t care for LED lighting or tempered glass panels. Im just looking at raw hardware, specs and saving time and for the 20% off price I think I’m pretty content.
Nice deal!
This thing is completely junk, the hardware worths less then 1k.

Hi, thanks for the video. Thinking of buying same pre built pc. What monitor would you recommend me for it? And can I have dual monitors with it?
Ofc you can, you can have even more.
How much FPS can you get on games like Minecraft or Fortnite or heavy games?

So adding more storage to this PC is possible?
Hi Jarrod I’ve got only 128gb ssd Is it possible to change that to 1tb and transfer my windows to it also thanks
what is the best pc for gaming in your opinion
So is this a good gaming/recording/editing pc. I am in need of a new pc because my family's pc is terrible. It has three gigs of ram. It runs fortnite and roblox at about 30 fps. And also could you make a video about how to usr the settings thing (I think its called predator senses) because I am a begginer and I have no clue how to use pcs
well. in our country 1200$= 30000czk. so now im saving up for it. btw this pc is very good. would recommend bc my mom used to work for these kind of pc. u dont even need to buy graphic cards. it comes with 2 gtx graphic cards. so if ur going to buy a pc. i would recommend this :) (or just buy any pc u want)
Does it come with a mouse and keyboard because I want to buy one.
I got a question, I'm going to purchase the pc on Newegg (512 ssd) , and I was looking to add an Hdd. Going to buy a data cable, but do I need to purchase a power cable , or would it already come with it?
Anyone had any idea how to upgrade the C drive storage on this pc
does it come with a monitor and wil I need to buy speakers
u have to go on predator sense app to change colours
Does this machine have a seperate SSD and standard hard drive ?
Idk y, but I pissed myself laughing at 13:10
Haha I completely forgot about that 😂

Nice PC for ppl doesn't wanna build a PC cuz no experience and ease of use
Yeah looks pretty nice I think 👍
I’ve been helping my brother look for a prebuilt gaming pc for a while now and I think I’m gonna go with this one, for the 1060 model it’s $2,112 on Kogan Australia (your not the only Aussie here) which is much cheaper than at Harvey Norman but do you think Kogan is reliable? It seems to have good reviews but I haven’t ordered anything from there before and I just don’t want to get scammed or order a system with a dodgy part😅
Yeah I've bought a few things from Kogan in the past, no problems so far.

can i upgrade to a i9 9900k on this computer?
I’m planning on getting the RTX version of this, is there any difference besides graphics card?
i dont think so
Hi Jarrod, thanks for this video !! Do you think that is possible to improve the cooling system ? I would to upgrade with watercooling but I don’t know if it’s possible, do you think it is ? I have RTX 2070 and the gpu’s temperature is 80-82°C, 4K resolution, exclusive usage as a flight simulator (P3D and XPlane). I’m afraid with tº, 1 week after I have bought, RTX2070 was dead (change with garantee). So, I will happy if I could find a cooling improvement solution.
Thanks, hmm yeah could possibly change to some other AIO, just might be hard to mount it without a ghetto solution.
Hey I was just wondering if anyone knows if I would be able to replace the cooler with a nzxt kraken water cooler
Jarrod please review the ACER PREDATOR ORION 5000
If they have one available then for sure, I've already done the 9000 so I think the 5000 is the last one left 😁
@Navin Singh I've covered the predator 500 here: czcams.com/video/CqSNcl6ik9Q/video.html I'm trying to get the AMD version of it too.
Hey, +Jarrrod'sTech I really like this pc and I m willing to buy it since it's on sale but I just read someone's comment saying that other components like motherboard PSU etc are built off a cheap quality material which could cause problems, what do you suggest?
Yes cheap power supplies are pretty standard in pre-built systems, just the way it is unfortunately. In most cases it will probably be fine, hard to say really
Can this play all of duty high settings?
there actually are BIOS updates to support 9th gen.
Lol I went to Harvey Norman and searched “desktop pc”, googled the name, and found this video. but I was wondering if it would still run well while recording/streaming? (Also mainly being used for Minecraft)
Hey Man, I noticed you’re super active in the comments on this video. I was planning on purchasing this Pc with the following specs :
(Intel Ci7-8700/2TB HDD/512GB SSD/16GB RAM/GeForce RTX 2070)
Do you think these specs will hold up with games now a days? Thanks in advance.
Sounds good, decent specs, 2070 is quite powerful, though Nvidia just released the 2070 Super for the same price as the 2070, so not sure if Acer will be updating their models to reflect this or what. Basically existing 2070 will no longer be made in favour of the newer Super edition which performs better for the same price, so maybe they just have old stock left over, could be worth finding out when they will have the new ones, but still that 2070 is still quite good.
if you havent bought it yet i recommend you dont because the fan is loud as heck

hi, i have this pc but i dont really like the case. do you know if there is a way to take all my components out and put them in a new case? also if there is a way does anyone know of a case that would work ?
Is it good to be late 2020?
Hey, I have the exact same model as you for this PC, and I was wondering how would I clean the front fan?
There's steps for removing the front in the manual, I sort of show it towards the end of the video in the upgrade section. Basically you remove the side panel, take off the HDD bracket, take off the DVD drive cover then remove the front panel.
Can we turn off the lights
Does it work good for vr
Hey I was just wondering if anyone knows if I would be able to replace the fan with a nzxt kraken water cooler

Not sure as I don't test that game anymore as it doesn't have built in presets, it should be able to run pretty good though, the specs are fairly decent. You can probably find benchmarks of the game if you search for the CPU/Graphics card models along with GTA5.
