Koenigsegg factory driver, Robert Serwanski, records 2:32.14 in practice at Spa, driving the Koenigsegg One:1. Our previous record at Spa was 2:33.26. We believe this to be a new record for a road-legal production car. We also believe there's plenty of room for improvement. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
The stone chip was actually caused by the One:1 running into a bullet from behind as it was overtaking ;p

People say the Koenigsegg can't handle or go fast around a track. 5 seconds faster then the P1 says A LOT
On a high speed track that isn't very technical? Doesn't say much at all.
And Spa. A track where you need a lot of grip on the 2 sector
+Ofitus 21 Spa is about long, sweeping turns. Very fast track where aero plays a huge role. No chance to see the weaknesses in the car's handling and chassis, or mechanical grip and balance.
When, or rather IF, Koenigsegg runs a low 6:50/high 6:40 at the Nurburgring, THEN Mr Koenigsegg can call his cars the best.
Adeum Deus The Nurburgring is not exactly Monaco. It has lots of mid -speed corners, where the One will shine. And the TC of this car is amazing. Just look how this car goes after La Source. And after talking with my friend (he works at Koenigsegg), They are pretty confident. He told me a 6:45 is the goal

In Assetto Corsa its not difficult to get it below a 2:20, the car could take Eau Rouge much more quickly than serwanski does, but he takes it cautiously for good reason.
For those saying that Koenigsegg's cars are straight line demons, just look at the G-force meter.

and they said Koenigseggs are only meant for straights, well if it's faster than McLaren P1 on track, it tells u something that Koenigsegg is not only for straights.
It failed the ring, it's clear that this track favors top speed areas more than corners so if the one wasn't faster, that would be a disgrace.
Also, when the mclaren p1 is only 2 seconds faster than a f430, it's obvious that their is a problem here. The p1 record was from a casual run, koeningsegg needed their factory driver. 5 seconds is kind of pathetic now that you see it's only 7 seconds faster than a f430 scuderia.
@@machspeed20 What failed at the ring was an ABS censor. One of the few components they buy from off the shelf and don't produce in house. That also tells the margins of the track. They can't just pull another car out and continue, given the time needed for each car to be made in comparison to the size of the company.
The car was on the brakes for Eau Rouge and Raidillon, the car gained most of the time on the straight sections through Kimmel and the run down to Bus Stop.

VW owns Porsche and Lambo. Lambo was allowed to do a lap after the restrictions, Koenigsegg was not. VW lives at the Ring.
In completely unrelated news VW owned Bugatti holds the top speed record since they wont let Koenigsegg use Ehra-Lessien and bought Nardo where the CCR set it's record, which they are also banned from.
What a remarkable set of unrelated, random circumstances.
Fast forward 4 years VW now has the electric lap record at the ring.

An F1 car is 45 secs a lap faster than this monster in Spa.
Helps put into perspective the insane speed of F1 cars and give people a hint as to how brutal any formula car really is compared to anything he may have got used to seeing or driving.

The only reason for the pointless comparison is an attempt to drag Koenigsegg down by comparing a real car to something which can barely even be defined as a car, in the normal sense of the word. Koenigsegg is just that. The name is correct and it is an absolutely outstanding car. Making a flawed comparison does not change that fact. Oh, Concorde was so much faster than a F1 'car'. Puts things into perspective, doesn't it? ;)

i think that TC is doing all the work, he just feathers it during cornering and corner exit, you can see the throttle bar is full right after coming out of a corner; without traction control this car would still be spinning its wheels in 4th gear due to its insane power output

TheCamaro5 Yeah, he can easily make it under 2:30. You can also see, that in the second half of the lap he uses low braking power. WIth full brakes he could brake much later.
It looks like it was too hot on that day or something. You can see, that after one lap the water temperature rose from 84 to 96 degrees and gearbox from 76 to 95 degrees. So maybe brakes were overheated...

So many comments about how this car ‘isn’t good unless it has a record breaking time at Nordschlief.’ Koenigsegg gave up on that track because of too many speed restrictions for safety reasons. Read up. Why race a track at half your car’s capability? This video is a perfect example of how much of a beast this car truly is.

On straights this is faster than modern F1 cars he did 320 kph like nothing he was just cruising 😂

Amazing acceleration and it's unbelievable that it can achieve 320 kmh at the end of kemmel straight. Surprisingly the cornering speed isn't that much different to a well sorted road car. I reckon a high end radical or Lotus 3-11 can match it's lap time around Spa.
Still had loads more to give! Barely on the edge under breaking, mid corner or the exits.

Mariah for the One:1 you're wrong. any other Koenigsegg you're right the Porshe would destroy it but this has the aerodynamics to keep it on the ground and they are much better than the aero on the 918 aswell as having more power and less weight which can be a disadvantage if not used correctly but a huge advantage when used correctly

Right now it's the Agera RS at 277.9, where it hit just shy of 284.55 on one run. Wonder if One:1 could top that, same location, same conditions. After all, it's a hybrid...
I think if you got a better driver you could knock a few more seconds off that lap.

Car Mo I was waiting for one of you to arrive. The fact of the matter is, The guy driving this car works for Koenigsegg and has most likely been given strict rules to not push the car to it's limits. You put a driver who isn't afraid to do that, behind the wheel. And you could easily knock a few more seconds off. But hey Mr "Car Mo" I'm sure you already knew that, As you sound like someone I should trust in these matters.

They need to give the car to a very experienced racers that has done these tracks thousands of times before. Not a F1 driver, they are too use to a much faster car in general, but a LM style driver that can relate to lap after lap in a closed cockpit and still assess corners and having a heavier car etc. Tom Kristensen just retired and Denmark is like 20 miles from K-eggs factory *hint* *nudge*
And for the Nordschleife they should just get a guy who has 1000+ laps there in racing cars from 24 hrs of Nurby fx. Christopher Hasse or Marc Basseng fx.

If you were to do a proper lap in the car with a really talented driver like a F1 driver etc, you would get 3-4 seconds off the time just on braking zones. Because Robert i taking this so lightly. Yes it's a practice run but still, if you are gonna get to the Nurburgring after the speed limits are removed, u should consider putting a professional driver to do the lap because Robert doesn't feel confident. Just compare this driving to the one where Adrian Sutil drives the car at Spa
teamracing07 on one side i agree but at the same time Robert is their test driver and has been with this car since day one and knows its abilities from the inside out i'm sure. even if he is not pushing the car to its absolute limits.

Because let's face it, Robert has only done like Maza MX-5 Racing. So not that high level of skill. He knows his s*it but that ain't enough

Colin Moreau Koenigsegg is my favorite car maker from 2012 forwards. I'm everyday looking for new info on the cars they make because i'm a true fan of Koenigsegg. But Robert's driving skill isn't the best. Yes he can drive it fast, and he does put a proper racing driver would go a bit faster. I don't see that much talent in Robert because of he does not have like world championship trohies from the big leagues

What is the proper water & gearbox temperature for a racing engine? Someone (Yerrie?) said it rose, and so that must be bad then. Aren't they supposed to rise and and how much is too much.

You all need to read the Jalonpiks article about the laptime record. This silver one:1 is like 150 kilos heavier becouse it's a prototype car and it used different kind of carbonfiber. They didn't have the titanium exhaust. And the aluminium one they used was too loud so they had to make their own at the pits and it caused a major power loss. And even all the set back they set the lap record!
watching this again i can tell there's AT LEAST 5 seconds to be had from this.

Very few cars can hang with this thing in a straight line. Just touched 200 on the straight after Eau Rouge. Amazing.

Personally I believe that car could quite easily pull a sub 2:15 sec time, but you'd need to have great conditions both externally and internally, oh and some huge ass nuts! I'd see the pearly white gates just stepping in the car let alone being on the throttle.
But on a diffrent note its still a awesome car to watch and the lap time its still a record none the less. Great Job!

This driver is constantly hitting breaks to early so he doesn't need to break at full force. Give it to F1 or any other driver used to push car to its limits and he would show us what this car really can do on track.
