- Acrylic Pour Paintings Ring Pour, Wrecked Ring Pour 14x14s Gold, Copper, Crimson & Black WOW!
Hello Friends!
Welcome back to the inside of my little Tuffshed Studio! Ive been watching Molly from Molly's Artistry do her amazing wrecked ring pours and really wanted to give it a try.
My colors are:
DecoArt Americana Decor
Metallics 24K Gold
Golden's Iridescent Copper
Golden's Quinacridone Crimson
Artists Loft Flow Acrylic in Black
I layer my cup carefully down the side, with contrasting colors. I pour a really pretty ring pour.. but then I chickened out and couldn't wreck it. 😥 It was so pretty lol! I tilt to cover the corners and then work on composition. This one looks like a Rose in Sunshine, with beautiful petals spreading out around it. I love the Gold center! 🥰
I was a bit upset with myself, and still had paint left, so I decided to give it another shot.
This time I laid down a basecoat of copper with some black in it, and layer another cup carefully. I pour a ring pour in the center and pour some thinned out black around the pour. I stretch it out a bit to each corner, then using my stick I 'wreck' the pour. I stretch it out to cover the canvas and tilt off a bit and then I fell in love with it! Stretching it out made all the difference for me. This piece reminds me of Tulips, really beautiful 🥰
The cool thing about wrecking one of them is that because they were very similar pours, with the same colors, you can see exactly what the effects of 'wrecking' the pour are.
Really fun experiment, and again a very big thank-you to Molly for developing the 'wrecked ring pour' technique! So much fun! You can find her channel here:

Beautiful , but even more beautiful was your rendition at the end of how ones heart can be broken but when it heals it comes back even more intricate. Love that
This one reminds me of the sky connecting to the earth. The sky on left. The connections come down to earth like tree rings. There are many sections with more visionary reminders. Your art is spiritual and speaks. The fact that many things are unintentionally makes the pieces even more powerful! Your work is so inspirational to me. PLEASE PLEASE MAKE A BOOK!!! Also you fun to listen to. Your funny and whacky in a good way.
Those giant pillows of cells are incredible
Molly poured a perfect Halloween ring pour, not 1 wonky line, a center that could’ve been done with a compass, it pained me just as much as this one did to watch wrecked BUT-LOOK HOW COOL it turned out!! Wow. Stunning combo of curves & lines!! As, always, worth the grueling wait between vids😉 (Absent:Zen.Currently patrolling territory boundary on look out for invading neighbor 🐈)
I like Molly too.
I’m glad you didn’t wreck it. It beautiful as is. Love it. The first one
I love both of them! 🤗
Love them both but especially the Wrecked Tulip!!
Wrecked rings are the best 😍
I love both of them. Which one do I like the most, I don't know. They look like you took a brush and painted these. They are absolutely beautiful! To me, in my humble opinion, these two are the best I have seen you do. What do I know, you're the artist!! Thank you so much for making my night Mina. (I know, only your husband says that)
It's mega very,very,very beautiful 💥💥💥💥💥👍😍👏👏👏👏👏
Wowzers, these colors are my all time favorite. Love love love 😍😍😍 have a great weekend 🤗🤗🤗🤗
Thanks Tish!! I watched your bloom technique video with the hearts the other day.. WOW!! SO GORGEOUS!!! I loved how you did those, so cool!!! 💜💜💜
@@MinaVillegasArt aw thank you so much, I had a lot of fun making those ones 🤗🤗🤗
I love the colors in this. Really beautiful. 👍🏼🙃🎨
I really wasn't sure you were going to be able to wreck the second one either... but you were heroic and stepped up tp the plate. I love it! The wrecked one. It seems like a microscopic view of a larger pour. Totally awesome.
Really love these paintings AOA, but my absolute favourite is the first one. Really does remind me of a rose just as it's beginning to bloom! As usual your colour choice is just so you, bright, happy and cheerful. You always cheer me up when I hear your laugh!
Lot's of love to you from Northern Ireland xxxxxx
Brava!!!!🙌🙌🙌👑👑🔝💗
Love your little a Bob Ross. Tempted every time I go into Blick!

Absolutely Beautiful
They are both stunning 😎
GORGEOUS 🌺
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful... I love the wrecked one -- it has so many points of interest. Thanks to you for wrecking and thanks to Molly for venturing into that technique. Love how you both lead the pack in terms of doing innovative work and don't simply do the same thing over and over and over again.
Twirlingswirlinggirl, yep, however, Mixed Media Girl has been doing wrecked pour painting for a long time. Check her channel out.
Thank you for doing them both.... personally I like the NOT wrecked better but the are both gorgeous!! something new to try!!

None of your typical blues in these but they are still absolutely beautiful! I think wrecking is not that bad of a thing to do. It seems to bring out more detail.

Awesome!
What a Gorgeous pair of paintings!!🌹💖 You have the Bob Ross pop figure I have on my wish list!!!💕
Although the first is beautiful, I really love how the second one turned out - candy for my eyes!
Well done!!
For a second it looked like a Dreamweaver/ or Dream Cather depending on which part of the world you live in very pretty.
They’re both so friggin beautiful! I was laughing at the captions on the second one! You almost forgot again! But I loved the colors on it, so if you HAD forgotten, I would’ve still counted it as a success~! They both turned out so pretty, though!!!!!
Love the black crevasses...they add mystery to the piece.💕
They're both beautiful. Great pictures, as usual!
Even the wrecked one was stunning! I appreciate the narrative and the warning on mixing gold and black paint! Thank you, Mina for your video and sharing your technique. Laurie
Waouwww
So happy you didnt wreck the first one! It is so pretty!! The background drips also looked so pretty ti me, especially when it caught the sunlight! Was wondering if you can only drag your pallette knife or something through it with silver or gold paint to enhance the lines made by the background... But I dont do pouring myself, so was just wondering if it could work....
At least you were pretty wrecking the 2nd time around!🤣🤩well done! Stunning job as always!
That's WAY COOL!! Love the colors 😍😍😍✌👍😁
The second one is awesome. The first one is great too
Golden Rose has such beautiful colours -- I'm glad you didn't wreck it! The second pour, although "wrecked", has great lines and movement, with the same gorgeous colours. A win-win, for sure! Loved watching this one, Mina!
In the wrecked Tulip, I see several hands. I had a very positive feel while watching you pour it. It made me think of "being in safe hands"... very powerful. Nice job!
I just love the first painting. The colors are so beautiful.
I like the second one but not as much as the first. But they are both awesome. I need to get some quinacridone crimson.
I like to add ColorShift Black Flash to black backgrounds. Hell’s bells - now I gotta put my painting shirt on after I told my hubby I wasn’t painting tonight since I did two yesterday. I’m running out of canvases and am broke!
Lovely. I'm glad you didn't wreck it. I love the dripping use, that made pretty colors too. I need to start that.
Are you a nurse?
Apgar 10/10.
I love that copper and black, I may start that too.
Huggles always 💖🖌👩🎨🎨🍀⭐🦓🤹♀️🇺🇸
I was a Chiropractor before I had kids 😊
Quick get another canvas. I really really like your background.
