  • Spectacular Acrylic Pour Fluid Art Fantasy Pour Ring Pour Redo-ing Into The Deep: Payne's Gray, Turquoise, Iridescent Pearl, Dioxizine Purple & 24K Gold!
    Hello Friends!!
Back in September 2019 I did a pour called 'Into The Deep'. After I was done and brought it in to dry I was not happy with the center, it looked a bit anatomical, and I did not like that part. So I messed with it.. it ended up ok but it's always stayed with me that I wish I had done it better.. so that's what I am doing today, Redo-ing 'Into The Deep'.
    My Colors are:
    Golden's
    ~Payne's Gray
    ~Iridescent Pearl
    ~Turquoise
    Liquitex Basics
    ~Dioxizine Purple
    DecoArt Americana Decor Metallics
    ~24K Gold
    My Pouring Medium is:
    ~Liquitex Gloss Medium & Varnish
    ~Water if needed
    ~Floetrol
There is no silicone in my paint
I layer my cup carefully down the side, and pour a ring pour. I tilt to cover the canvas, then really look at it. It's a pretty pour, but there's not nearly as much white as in the original piece, and it seems a bit dark to me. So I decided to pour again.
That is one of the coolest things about this medium, that after you pour you can 'read' it to see what you like and what you don't.. I realized I needed more white, and thinner layers of the Payne's Gray.
I layer my cup again (only about 8 ounces this time) and pour.. and I know within seconds that it is much more what I wanted. 🥰
I tilt to cover my canvas and I LOVE how it came out this time. That little bit of white creates these very thin lines on the darker background that create an illusion of depth, which is exactly what I wanted to happen.
Pour it until you are happy!
I am not competitive with others, but I do enjoy challenging myself. Looking back thru some of my videos, there are things here and there that I wish I had done differently, and I thought you guys might like to hear and see what my thought process was and why.
Thank you so much for hanging out with me, I appreciate all of you so much! Your comments and enthusiasm are wonderful, and really ignite my passion for pouring. Thank you ❤️
We will continue our Constellation series next week, but I wanted to share this pour with you all since it was ready to go. Thank you so much for watching! Your support and encouragement and wonderful comments mean so much to us!

On I was worried at 1st (like I have something to worry about in this pour)when the pour was seeking so dark & almost monochromatic, but you read my mind with the pour as it turned out so incredibly rich yet defined by the dark against the light rings with so much depth & intensity. I learn so much every time I watch you pour. I'm aching for pretty weather so I could go outside to pour, but as it's mid-February, I'll keep my long sleeves on & keep watching for more pours. You never disappoint, Mina! Bravo!
PS...don't know if it was my tablet or not, but I kept getting color shifts when video angle changed. I noticed at 1st the weird look that your Golden's turquoise looked more deep green-blue than the Golden's turquoise I've seen you use time & again. Next the angle changed & I could finally see the purple (wasn't noticeable from 1st angle) & the turquoise & pains grey looked like the colors I have come to expect. Then the angle changed again & we were back to the green-blue real-time color that seemed to overtake the pour; but angle change & colors were more normal. I know that you'd want to be aware even if there was small change in tint of sharing the to recording setting. Hope it was mine. Will review on the phone to compare. Hugs!

    • @MinaVillegasArt
      @MinaVillegasArt  Před 4 lety

Thanks Kelly! We shoot with four separate cameras and occasionally they pick up the light differently.. I did notice the color shifts too. if one camera is shooting the white canvas with something really bright behind it then it'll darken the colors up sometimes.. and vice versa. My white cup always gets blown out because of the white balance on the cameras. HoA is always trying to wait for the sun to be in a better spot (for filming) but sometimes I get going and have to do it now.. 🤷 it was actually kind of trippy to see the colors shifting between shots, knowing what it really looked like. Ironically, I think my phone camera picks up color the best lol 😁 he disagrees

Watching the initial pour on a gaming curved screen 144mz monitor and in 1080p was stupendous! HoA and his camera skillz really highlighted the wonderful color palette and natural design the paints generated. If I had poured that...
