- Acrylic Pouring Painting Amazing Comb Wrecked Ring Pour Turquoise & 24K Gold!! DreamCatcher
Hello Friends!
This was the morning after I poured Allegra, the Red Gold and Black Comb Wrecked pour.. I could barely sleep for wanting to go paint some more haha so this is the next morning and I'm raring to go!
I want to explore that style of wrecking (from the outside to the center) but with some un-wrecked parts. Im so excited about this one!
My Colors are:
Golden's
- Turquoise Phthalo
Liquitex Basics
- Bright Aqua Green with
a lot of DA 24K Gold and
Satin Enamels Pure White
DecoArt Americana Decor
Metallics
- 24K Gold
Satin Enamels
- Pure White in with
the Bright Aqua Green
Artist's Loft
- Flow Acrylic Black
Table Mixin's
My Pouring Medium is:
Liquitex Gloss Medium & Varnish
Paint + a bit of Water
Floetrol
I layer my cup carefully down the side, using thicker layers of black and much smaller layers of the gold and aqua. I only fill my cup to 15 ounces, because I want a smaller pour with more flow extender. I want to tilt off the flow extender, not my pour. I also would not mind having some black negative space left on the canvas.
I pour my ring pour and I love it!! Its so pretty!!I pour my black flow extender around the pour, then I use my small Pozilon mens comb to wreck it, again from the outside edge to the center, twisting the comb so that only one point is contacting at the end of using the comb. I do two wrecks, then leave some space, then do two more wrecks then leave space and again two more wrecks, for a total of 4 comb wrecks through the pour.
Since there is only 15 ounces of my pour on the canvas, tilting it stretches it out but tilts off the flow extender instead of my ring pour. Once I've got it stretched out then I tilt some off the edges, but I managed to keep the design intact. I LOVE this piece!!
There are tons of lines from the ring pour and some beautiful effects from the comb wrecking. A few of you have said that it reminds you of end papers in old books.. which makes sense because this combed technique is very popular in Florence, Italy where a lot of that paper comes from.
I hope you guys enjoyed this pour.. it was a lot of fun! I have heard your suggestions of wrecking it from the center out, you will see me try that in our next video, Taurus.

@Landon Israel thanks so much for your reply. I found the site thru google and im in the hacking process atm.
Seems to take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
For sure Dream Catcher! This painting and Allegra bring something so distant and yet compelling it sends shivers up your spine. You write words in rainbows on canvas with a hint of stories untold. I see a series here and wait with baited breath for the next installment enhanced with your laugh. (...and you think you are insane.) Stay safe sweet people until next time. say safe dear people.
I had forgotten how much I enjoyed your painting outside with beautiful nature all about you
Hello i live in de Netherlands and i love your work. Today we celebrate that we have been living in freedom for 75 years. So your shirt suits the party today. Lots of love Renate
Much love back to you Renate!! Have a wonderful day!! 🎉🥂❤
I am not exaggerating when I say that I've watched over 100 pouring videos of late, probably upwards or 300. I've painted for a long time, but I'm just getting into pouring and so I've been learning everything I can.
This is the very first video I've commented on. That is stunning. I usually find that it gets to a certain point and then the artist just pours 98% of the pattern off the sides. It has merit as a technique, but it's amazing to see a picture like this and an artist who will preserve some of the best bits of pouring. Thank you
Thank you so much Dashing! This pour was the beginning of really trying to keep most of the cool parts on the canvas rather than tilting them off (by using less paint in my pour and more flow extender around the pour that would be tilted off).. I was also having a lot of fun learning what the comb can do.. Im so glad you enjoyed the video! Thank you for watching, and welcome to my channel! Have a beautiful day 💜
@@MinaVillegasArt My friend just sent me a pack of canvases and a set of metallic paints so I'm going to plunge in this weekend!
@@dashingshadowbolt6209 have a wonderful time!! ❤❤❤

WOW! It SHINES! All the Gold U added in Ur mixes (Colours) catches the Light & just Pops Out of Ur Canvas! Just Brilliant! Especially, I Loved the tool U used to draw the patterns & it gave A Pretty wavey look, like Swirls! All in all, FABULOUS!
Absolutely gorgeous. Love it
Hi Mina. Can’t sleep thinking of next work...and it has turned out SPECTACULAR,,,peacock feather colours. And the wreck is the best by far I feel...this has now become my No 1 for your Art Work.
You are an exceptional artist and can see in your minds eye how you want it to look. Absolutely lovely.
I love the birds in the background, your laughter, your ingredients explanation and your artistic talent. Thank you
I like all the big bubbles on the top. Perfect design. 💜💙💚😍
This dried so beautifully. Love it as usual.
Incredible indeed Mina. OMG this is so cool. Love it. Think I will have to try it for myself. Thank you for sharing with us. I just love your work!
Good example of how one does not need many colors for pouring. 👍
It dried with DRAMA, Mamma Mina! Love your work. Thanks so much for brightening up my day!!!
Glorious color and composition which I could not see after the paint application. Magnificent ❤️❤️❤️
My favourite is "Dream Catcher"! Love the colours and design.
Beautiful work of art. I love that u let the paint do all the work instead manipulating it with various tools. Using just that one, is gorgeous.
I love, love this one.
Loving the black negative space with the blue's, green's and very, very tiny amounts of gold
Great design! Love the colors! And I am so jealous that you are working outdoors and we can hear the birds chirping in admiration of your pour! Pat
I could listen to your birds all day :)
So many areas to delight the eye. Love all the different movement in this one

Looks gorgeous ! 💙💙💙
This is sooooo beautiful! There is a profound spirit to it!
Mesmerizing! I love this. I’ve gotta try this method. I love watching your videos, just found you recently. I love the beaker with water beside you towards the end when fine tuning. It gives the illusion of mad scientist at work. Of course it’s obvious you are an artist with a great eye!
I cant stop watching! I LOVE THIS! I have never done a successful ring pour
Try making your mix thicker, it will hold the shape of the rings much better
I love your wrecked pours and your colors. You are becoming my go to person for colors. I am a novice.
I love hearing the birds chirping in the background. Thanks for letting us hang with you. Beautiful painting!
So beautiful! And I love your laugh. Just love watching you because you really seem to enjoy and be "a part of" what you are doing!

Greetings from South Carolina. Love hearing your birds chirping. We had a storm last night and our birds are in a tizzy today. That bright aqua green mixture is GORGEOUS!
Simply gorgeous, looks like feathers.👍
Dried result is gorgeous!! That center....yum!!!! And the turquoise against the black. Holy smokes!!
Absolutely stunning, the colours are amazing. I love your technique.
Stunning! We have a little place at the beach where we can enjoy the sunshine and still social distance. This makes me want to leave our little slice of paradise and rush home to my paints. LOL.
Thank you for taking the time to teach! Your art brings joy to this world ... and you are a delight.
Love this, love your art! Thank you for sharing your art and you!
Amazing painting! I have a friend who owns a motorcycle shop and he thinks something like this would look great on his wall. Now he wants me to do this.... I'll try, but not a chance I'll get such great results as you do. Thank you for showing us all your great work!
I was thinking m.c. club too. But so much more, also.
I’ve watched this so many times...I keep coming back to watch again......love it
Omg love these colors together! Tried my first wrecked ring pour today, needs improvement haha. I learn a lot from you every single time. After a days work with keeping distance from customers while trying to help them as best as you can, cleaning hands and the counter again and again and again your videos are so relaxing. I can sleep a little better haha. Thank you Mina! 😊😘

This is the most successful of your Ring Pours (wrecked) that I've seen so far... Great definition. Crisp, defined lines. That green is amazing! The colors work so well together. The negative space. Rather ethereal looking. I love watching your videos. The fact that you work in your garden makes your videos so calming and beautiful. This is a little gem.
Thank you Elyse 🦋
