- Fluid art inspirational video! I'm kicking off a new series, called the pink cloud series, this is the Citroen version. I will be working with the translucent base coat and a bit more monochromatic color, palettes, seeing how the pink cloud affects each color theory. I did forget to mention in my video, towards the end, I pulled out some burgundy colored Vitrail. This is a solvent based paint by Pebeo that I enjoy using to give more depth and contrast.

Magnificent! Would not expect anything less. The composition, the manipulation of the pigment on the canvas is beyond words. I would have to add, when you first stopped stretching the color over the canvas, that was also breathtaking.(at about 7:12 on the video It reminded me of a Kandinski, I believe it is the Improvisation series and even into the Red Dot series. The way your colors melt into the painting is something that is so similar to his work. And it is not that your styles are similar, it's the way the paint becomes the canvas. It no longer plastic sitting on cotton making a pretty picture, it is a pigment that has incorporated itself into the canvas and become part of nature and the beauty is beyond compare.

Absolutely stunning Sara. I really love the red and burgundy colors you added into this painting. Especially the Vitrail solvent paint. It gives this piece something extra special. Viola is still one of my favorite pieces that you have created because the Vitrail that you added gave it such a unique touch. Would you ever consider using the translucent base to create a patina/ rust colored painting? Finnabair Prima Marketing has these texture pastes that come in various rust and patina colors and I think it would look so cool having rust or patina colors peeking through the translucent base. Just a thought. I love everything that you create. You are truly inspiring. Keep up the beautiful work.

Thank you, Donna! I actually do scrape up all the leftover paint off the plastic and save it for other projects.
It’s hard to be mindful of waste with many forms of art, I have a wonderful video on how I clean up as well.❤️🙏

I love watching you paint. It's so relaxing. Can I ask what brand and kind of canvas you use?
I like the artist loft stage three for Michael’s and edge canvases from Jerrys.
Some of the more solid areas of colour in the earlier parts of the process are absolutely beautiful, but the colour always seems to disappear and the pearls take over each time. Is there a way to let more of the colour stay?
For this particular technique, what I’m looking for is the design and the pearls. If you wanted less pearls, I would recommend just using a regular Basecoat instead of a Pearl basecoat. I add the detail with cloud over paint that contain set an anvil in order to bring up more color, Decoart 24 karat gold is also another great products to help design after you stretch it and bring color out of the painting.
