I cant believe how cool this turned out! Its like fiery lava flowing over the electric guitar! I used tall narrow cups to pour the paint as I wanted to keep the puddled paint condensed a bit. My surface to pour on isn't all that large and I didn't want to loose potential composition. So instead of one large cup full of paint I poured with two resulting in a double straight pour! I had a blast working on this and will show the final results once it is completely built!

Interesting, I was asked to do this 5 years ago for a heavy metal guitarist.
I have an unusual Ibanez RG-8 guitar, with an ebony neck that is no longer made and was replaced with a cheap-feeling jotoba fretboard on newer models. The body is an ugly color, silver sparkle, and I thought it would be a great candidate for a paint job like this. I have never done this before but you make it look easy and have already picked out a great color combination. The only thing I noticed is that I liked it better when it was glossy, and the finish seemed to dull to a matte finish when it dried. Maybe you will put a clear finish on top at the end? This looks like a great way to bring an old guitar back to life.
Hello! Yes the piece is not finished yet. It will have a glossy finish to it in the end, but I’m not doing that part. Once it is complete I will show it on my channel.

Years ago I painted a guitar with a technique that provided a similar effect (swirl paint) and seeing this casting technique I began to see if guitars were made, and yes, here is a test and the truth is that I think the result is beautiful.
Well, the question is, since they are acrylic, do they allow polishing once dry with a machine and polishing discs?
It is my doubt, since I know acrylics and I have worked with them, but on canvas and other techniques and I know (or I suppose) that the disc would burn them since they always retain a certain elasticity, I don't know if I explain myself well.
Would it be inconvenient to polish? Is it better to apply a hardening resin or a varnish first?
I say this in case I have to make a guitar.

I swear I thought this was gonna be like all the 150 other pour channels but you did a killer job on that SG body,do you do this for money or just fun?and if you do it for cash what would you charge to do a guitar??

How close would you say that the Nickel Azo Gold is to a cadmium orange? It looks similar on my screen but it's not a colour I've seen before in person (the NA gold).
If you added a tiny bit of white to the colours (not the black, gold or red) would it wash them out or help them retain their vibrancy after drying?

It is not finished yet. The next is being hand crafted but I will for sure be posting the final results as soon as it is completed
@SarahMackArt oooow, I'm very excited to see the finished product! It looks CrAzY SWEET!!! Your technique is superb! Are you going to do the headstock matching? My last build was what I refer to as a 'Doorcaster'. It's a Telecaster shaped body but I made it look as if it was made from an old door, which I antiqued with Milk Paint with a crackle, electro-saline etched and/or copper plated the hardware. I even used Milk Paint on the neck and I'm VERY surprised how soft and smooth it feels when playing. I hope the reveal of your project also has your masterpiece being played!
