    I just bought this for my truck this week. Going to do it this weekend. Your Hood looked great. Now a recommendation for you on the rock chips, I bought the Dr. Colorchip chip repair kits for my truck, motorcycle and wife's car and it works great. Fast Correcting Cream is great stuff and it smells nice too which is really rare for compounds and polishes. The only very minor downside of FCC is that it can sometimes be a little difficult to wipe off. My number one cutting compound is Sonax Cutmax - it has a similar level of cut as the FCC, has no scent, and is very easy to wipe off. Fast Correcting Cream is my second favorite and is probably the best bang for the buck compound in terms of level of cut for the price.

    Couple of tips. 1. Store the bottle upside down! I made a thing in my stage shelf for them. Take em where I want. That way everything is at the top and it mixes faster.
    2. There is no need to leave it on to dry. There are no sealants or waxes in it to bond. Just wipe er off and continue on!!
    3 check out Alex Detail. Brian goes over different tapes. He is a vet over 30 years experience. There are different tapes. And one he uses is really low profile so the adhesive doesn’t get sucked in out how ever you look at it. Good guy, you can call him or email him. He responds.
    Meat and potatoes videos. No BS! I emailed him a question and he answered pretty quick.
    I started doing all this by hand in the 89s.
    Cheers man. Have fun. The Boss line rocks. I use an orange pad and correcting cream. Few dots of perfecting and it finishes out awesome!

    I used it yesterday....and it did a great job....but I did something wrong with it also.....after using slow speed to spread it around and then high speed to buff the section....all of a sudden I was getting lots of the cream splattering and coming out all over the place even with the pad pressed down on the panel....this did not happen at the very beginning on the first section.....but after the first two sections and every section after that. Of course I had to learn to keep the machine down until turning it off in order not to sling the product all over myself....but this mess was happening during the buffing it would just start slinging everywhere for some reason. So it seems I either had way too much cream on and in the pad or something else caused this...could I have been pressing and squeezing the pad down too much or what? And do you add the same amount of cream for every section? With the new pad I felt I needed to really get it wet and rub it in....but I also did this on every section. Thanks for any help!

    • @MeanBee392
      @MeanBee392  Před 4 lety

      It is a fantastic product! That can either happen from the pad (loading up) having to much product in the pad or it can also happen when you hit a spot of water that might of ran out of somewhere if you just washed it. Yeah you never want to lift the buffer wile its spinning or it will sling it everywhere and make a mess. I don't add more compound for every panel, I just add more when you start to notice that it is drying out a bit. Hopefully that all makes scene and is helpful. Thanks for watching and commenting! 🐝

I purchased a 2014 Lexus IS and it seems to have rock chips (white spots) all over the car mostly but especially the hood and trunk....and I'm thinking....how do you get rock chips on the dam trunk surface?....and I also thought could this be some sort of acid someone threw on their boyfriends car?
