I just did my wife' black 2014 Hyundai Tuscon with GG fast correcting cream, planning to do a second step with something less aggressive, but to my eyes it looks so good I'm hesitant, and tempted to leave it the way it is. It still looks better than when she drove it off the lot. I used a Flex 4301 and an orange flat LC pad. Skill level: Extremely amateur, but I know how to follow instructions. All I know about paint correction I've learned from watching this CZcams channel and others like it and I only have two cars to practice on. Maybe I just got lucky. Or I haven't yet developed the eye to distinguish descent from awesome.

griots Boss finishing sealant will remove more defects from the paint and gives you longer working time because its lubricating oils are better within the AIO sealant...griots Boss finishing sealant would be more of a pro product where griots one step sealant is more of a retail grade product..but with that said i do like griots one step sealant if i just want a quick polish and lay protection down:)

Hi Scottie, so is it safe to polish your car like once a month with say a mcguires 205 and a white polish pad? Or does it shave off too much clear coat?
Trying to understand how often you can polish

well the better question to ask is " how do i do paint correction once and never do it again?"...thats not always realistic in the real world and to answer your question, if you used a light polish pad and m205 you would be removing very little clear coat and really doing what i call kissing the paint which is just like jeweling the paint for a high shine and gloss...but it would take very long before m205 and a white polish pad could blow through clear coat and you will most likely have sold the car by then:)...once a year to just polish the paint lightly should be fine, thats if you know that someone before you if car was used didn't remove a lot of clear coat before...i hope that helps and i loved this question:)...as someone who does paint correction a lot ,my first goal is to preserve as much of the clear coat as i can for my own cars and clients:)

Dallas Paint Correction & Auto Detailing thanks Scott!! So one more - when you say the griots works well for the one step, would you recommend the orange pad? Wouldn't the orange pad beat up te paint too much ? Would. It work if used the griot polish with a white pad?

Great Job Scott.... Im at a beginner , i would use this instead of the griots one step sealent ? or i imagine this is a direct competitor to the the one step sealent product. but this is professional grade. what would be the order of operations for me to remove swirl marks and defects in your opinon... 1 step sealant, polish (optional), then wax ?, etc Thanks for your passion., we appreciate you.

ollie pog i hear people talking about doing a one step or two step paint correction and some of these CZcamsrs that work professionally doing this gave me a roundabout number for charging $150 to $300 for a one step $450 up to $1,200 for a two step paint correction. You mentioned compound, polish ,seal and then wax. Never heard anybody doing a four-step LOL and I understand that's the way you're supposed to do it. at least that's the way everybody sells their products. what would you charge someone to do a 4 step paint correction?

the eabster.....The WAX step is just for an additional pop, gloss and warmth. It's only really what you would do just prior to going to a show. It's only temporary that 99.9% of people/customers wouldn't do. The paint is already sealed and protected.

Scottie do you use a aggressive orange pad with this polish, or since its one step it's better to use a less aggressive pad like a black or white pad?
This polish is amazing you are correct I had some decent scratches on my 2011 BMW which is grey- came right off with this polish and orange pad
Just wondering if I'll get more pop with more of a polishing pad
And it wipes off so easily!!!

Herakles it’ll polish better with a polishing pad, but you will get less cut.
