    With Griot's Boss Fast/Correcting Creams, do you feel Griot's Perfecting cream is necessary? Does it provide enough of a difference that makes it worth the work? I was only able to find a a single video that talks about the Perfecting cream but it doesn't do a very good job.

  • @theeabster1983

    Scott got a couple of beginner questions if you'd be willing to answer them. if I had a few scratches on the hood in a 6 by 6 inc area could I do the boss fast correction cream and that area and kind of faded out a couple inches in each Direction. clean it up and then proceed with perfecting cream in that area and the rest of the panel and then move on to a wax or do you need to use the fast correction cream on the whole entire Hood to make it look uniform? I understand each situation is unique and might be hard to answer. Also do you prefer one product over another when it comes to black paint? As always thanks for your time I'm sure I got a dozen other questions just can't think of them right now I'll pestor you later. Lol

    I used this for the first time today along with a griots boss orange pad and it did remove most of the defects I thought it would remove but it didn’t get rid of all the swirl marks I thought it would. What should I try next? I more aggressive pad with the same correcting cream or a more aggressive correcting cream with the same orange pad?

    Hey Scott, for a general 2 step correction using Lake Country pads you like, could I use the Correcting cream with an orange pad and finish up using the Perfecting cream with a black pad or should I only use a white pad with the perfecting cream.

    • @stevenm6020
      @stevenm6020 Před 6 lety

      I should have worded it better. I was just looking for a couple of steps to get some minor correction accomplished. For instance when we go to trade in our cars they are usually in pretty good shape overall but have the usual superficial scratches and paint defects from the years on the road so I just needed a simple less aggressive polishing regimen just to get the car shiny again to trade in. I know the pros usually start with a micro fiber and a more aggressive compound to do real correction work but I usually don't neglect the paint that bad to need the more aggressive methods. I figured the orange pad and then a softer cut pad with less aggressive Griots polishes would suffice for most of the general polishing work on my cars and motorcycles.

      if car was in really bad shape i would use perhaps griots fast correcting cream first and not this compound and then follow with a polish like meguiars m205 or sonax perfect finish...the griots compound in this video is great for moderate defects and i find i don't have to follow up with a polish...thanks for your comment:)

      @Ellacost831, in other videos of Scott's, He likes to follow up with Menzerna Power Lock Sealant w/a black LC force pad, topped off with Meguiars ultra fast Finish for a slick wet look. He used the same f/up combos for both black and white cars. As for the pad used for Meguiars p205 polish, i'm not sure but maybe use a LC Force white or black pad. Scott will have to verify that.

      If you like Harbor Freight, you should also find a dentist and a orthopedic surgeon you like, because that shit will rattle your bones and teeth out. Also don’t call yourself a professional detailer , use a 50.00 buffer, and no they are not better then a porter cable, not in anyway. I bought a porter cable 12 years ago and thing thing ran perfect until a employee dropped it off a ladder. If you are even a novice detailer get a griots 6’ buffer.. you will thank your car, yourself, your teeth, and your hands.

    Hey Scott great video! I've been a Griots customer for along time now. Griots products are made right here in Indiana. My uncle is the Supervisor and over sees all their liquid productions. Needless to say I have tried all their products. I think the correcting cream works well but Take my word and buy a bottle of the Griots Complete Compound. It works better then the correcting cream and wipes off in one pass leaving a perfect surface ready for wax. I'm also a Detailer and it has saved me a lot of time and wiping. If you ever have any questions about how effective any of their products are just ask cause I have tried them all thanks to my uncle.

      Hi Webster, two questons: Can i work it fast on a larger surface than 2x2 per pass?
      How does it compare to Wolfgang Uber?

    • @FABAutomotiveDetailing
      @FABAutomotiveDetailing Před 7 lety +3

      ludovic louisdhon to answer your guestion yes you can. For example I do half a hood in slow but steady movement, or a full door at a time. I have never used Wolfgang so I can't answer that. I use it with Griots orange correcting foam pads and it work flawlessly and wipes off easy. Sometimes I follow up with Complete Polish from Griots as well just to give it that bang when done. But Complete Compound followed by a wax looks amazing. I also use Liquid Polywax from Griots. It protects for a year and is the easiest wax to remove when dried hands down. I actually went 1 1/2 years and it still was repelling water almost as good as it did when I applied it. Before I started using Griots I had used several different waxes and polishes and nothing compares to Griots Garage products.

      Omar Omar ..well actually they are ..it's not a true smat or dat technology..meguiars used a true smat for m105 but griots
      changed the game with even going further with smat technology that the abrasives start off very tiny by volume and they do break down over time so working time is longer and finishing can be achieved unlike m105 or other smat compounds..but the abrasives do break down in any smat compounds on the market its just griots went even smaller so its sub-micron and not super micron..hope that makes sence but lets be honest all compounds will break down over a period of time regardless of what manufacturers say
