    Scott this product works great, if you use the meguiars DA System that attaches to any drill, preferably corded, then it works great. those pads that come with that system are 4" perfect for doing windows and other areas like headlights, using mothers aluminum mag wheel cleaner is great for faded headlights, no more sanding. Of course the DA does the job also.

    Have you ever tried Cerium Oxide ? I know you are just getting some water spot removal here, but using CI polishes out lite scratches and really jewels the glass to an amazing shine/clarity. Perfect for an older car on the windshield. I use 3 inch felt polishing pads on a high speed drill. The 3M headlight restoration kit comes with a nice 3 inch backing plate for the drill.

      @@brkbtjunkie yeah, the fish tank hobbyists and the competitive levels of fish showing are real serious about their glass as far as the presentation of the fish that's why cerium oxide is all they use along with rouge for even higher finishing polish.

    I've done that before and I'm glad you mentioned applying something like rain x, because in my experience that's the best time to apply it. Right after it has been polished because it looks better and lasts longer for me. I did it to my car windows in this order clean, clay bar, next polished, and finally I applied rain x(exact word for word directions on the bottle) and it's lasted over 2 months and just barely started to wear off. Also it makes it easier to clean the outside of the windows. Again thanks for your tips! Much love from Salt Lake!

    Good lesson for beginners. But don't know why people never use or haven't been informed to use Glass wax consistently to never be in a position having to remove hard water spots. Glass wax been around for who knows who long.. i started using it in 1971.. I use it inside and out. My Glass looks just as polished as my custom paint with depth.. easy and quick..

    Scott I was wondering if for a possible future vid, you can do one on overspray removal on glass as well as paint, such as what products/methods to use and what has or hasn't worked for you?
    Thank you!

      Claying will work for most overspray situations after a light degreaser, then some polish followed by some protection from wax or sealant

    Hi been watching a lot of your videos really helpful. I have been waxing by hand my whole life, but bought a harbor freight dual action polisher good backing plates and pads. I'm going to try it out this weekend. Do you have a video or advice on removing glue from window tint? Thanks

    • @seancolon9890
      @seancolon9890 Před 6 lety +3

      If you have not got an answer already, I remove tint all the time, I use steam to remove the tint, and to remove the glue I use a spray can of "goof off" it removes the glue easily just wipe it off with a micro fiber... Do not let the goof off get on any painted surface just wipe any over spray off immediately. I use this to remove tint glue, and spray on tail light tint as well.
