Why pray the Rosary?

- Im not surprised when I get negative responses to my videos from Protestants concerning my constant encouragement to pray the Rosary. I know that it is out of ignorance that they do so. Hopefully, this video will dispel some of that ignorance. But it baffles me when I get the same kind of resistance from Catholics, who should know better.
If our age in its pride laughs at and rejects Our Lady’s Rosary, a countless legion of the most saintly men of every age and of every condition have not only held it most dear and have most piously recited it but have also used it at all times as a most powerful weapon to overcome the devil, to preserve the purity of their lives, to acquire virtue more zealously, in a word, to promote peace among men.”

Same. I used to bash Catholicism then I started studying it deeply (the core doctrinal positions) through prayer I felt at ease and at home at mass. I was just gifted a rosary for my birthday and I'm excited to pray through the life of our Lord. Meditating on it.
I'm praying the Rosary 📿 daily for almost 5 years now. It change me a lot mentally and spiritually from being lukewarm and becoming devoutly.
I thought because I grew up going to church and hearing about the Bible, that made me a Christian.
A lukewarm Christian is a person who believes in Jesus but has not made Him the Lord of their life.
A lukewarm Christian may or may not attend church.
Sometimes a lukewarm Christian is a different person in church than they are outside of church.
A lukewarm Christian rarely reads their Bible. Sometimes, they never read it.
A lukewarm Christian will usually only pray when it's convenient for them. Or they may not pray at all.
A lukewarm Christian will live a sinful lifestyle without any signs of struggle or repentance.
They know about Christ but they lack a relationship with Him.
Such so-called Christians are Christians in name only. They claim they know God, but they deny him by the way they live (Titus 1:16).
They also usually believe that by being a good person they will go to heaven; or because they believe in Christ they will go to heaven.
A lukewarm Christian doesn't go out of their way to share the gospel (good news) of Jesus.
Jesus Himself strongly warns such people:
“I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot. So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth.”
Cold water has a purpose and hot water has a purpose, but lukewarm water is good for nothing!
Being a Christian does not mean simply believing in Christ and then living your life as though He doesn’t matter to you. Being a Christian means to follow Him, to turn from sin, and to tell others about who He is and what He has done for our salvation (saving us from both sin and hell). If you are a lukewarm Christian, there’s a warning for you. You need to repent and completely trust in Christ and be dedicated to Him. If you cannot do that, then you’re not worthy of Him (Matthew 10:38) and He will spit you out of His mouth (Revelation 3:15-16). That is not God's will for you, but rather that you turn and live!

Not surprised catholics aren't saying the rosary, about 70 % of us don't even believe in presence of Jesus Christ in holy communion. Sometimes I worry less about people outside of our faith and more about those who are catholic in name alone.
True. But those studies are done with very loose parameters. Example could be those who come to church two times a year and claim catholic with little understanding of doctrine.

I was agnostic. God showed me the vil in the world, I learnt about the Rosary, started praying it and I've been Catholic for a year. Our Lady leads us perfectly to her Son!
I havent prayed the rosary many times, but the other night i did so- and i felt the peace and joy of God throughout the next day, and a sense of love for everyone i met. I could feel the power of the rosary

Just wanted to add: get a brown scapular of our lady imposed on you by a priest and only take it off if you really need to! The rosary and the brown scapular are two of the three main gifts our Lady gave us and should always go together. The third being the miraculous medal.

The Hail Holy Queen prayer says, "our life, our sweetness, our hope". Doesn't the Bible say Jesus is the way the, truth and the LIFE. Caps mine to point out the word life. Also, there are scriptures pointing to Jesus being our hope.
How can Mary be our life, if Jesus is life? I'm truly trying to understand this not condemn anyone, nor am i trying to prove anyone wrong. Thank you! 🙏❤️
Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. But His mother is a powerful intercessor for us, all the saints in heaven are alive and can pray and intercede for us to God. Read Revelation 12:1 and see how glorified Mary was in scripture, she was crowned in heaven, clothed with the sun. God bless!

Intercession must be a thing even in death
Jesus must be God of the Living
Those dead in Christ must be living in Him also.
Protestants removed the books that allow these. That's entirely on them to fact check that decision.

Every time a pro-Rosary video is made it gets attacked by Protestants and Pagans. And it is always the same thing: Mary should not be worshiped, Mary can't hear prayers, Mary is not divine, Jesus is the only mediator, the rosary is vain repetition, Mary is not the Queen of Heaven - and on and on. It gets tiring responding to the same. And besides the rosary is meditation on the life of Christ. And since God decided to be born of a woman Mary was there to give him birth and at his death. And those who do come to troll do not even bother to listen to the video. And most do not even know how to do the Rosary.
That and I wonder if they take into consideration that Jesus is not happy with them attacking his mother

I heard that praying the rosary doesn't really do anything if you're not in a state of grace when you pray it...I may have misheard the priest when he was making this point but I'm pretty sure that's what he said. At the moment I'm definitely not but I think I'll pray it anyway. I've also heard that it's good to have your rosary blessed by a priest or you can just put some holy water on it yourself. I haven't done either of these things but I suppose I could.
I began to pray the Rosary daily while in a state of mortal sin, without having performed the sacrament of reconciliation (confession) for over a decade. My Rosary was not blessed or anointed with Holy Water. it still brought me immense peace, by God's grace, thanks to our Blessed Mother's intercession. My life was completely turned around because of this beautiful devotion.
I encourage you to just start, get a booklet to help you get started before you're able to memorize the mysteries and decades.
There is No " vain repetition" when praying to God or those who are in blessed communion WITH HIM!

How can Mary hear and respond to millions of prayers? Exactly, she can't. The Bible says that there is only one mediator - Christ.
The rosary is a series of ritual recitations that are repeated to Mary. This is vain prayer. There are fifty of these recitations to Mary and only ten to the Heavenly Father. That’s a five to one ratio, revealing an extraordinary emphasis on Mary. I agree, vain repetition isn't praying the same same prayer more than once; it is mis-using prayer by repeating words over and over. Do you see the difference? While Mary was certainly a godly young woman greatly blessed in that she was chosen to bear the Savior of the world, she was not in any way divine, nor was she sinless, nor is she to be worshiped, revered, venerated, or prayed to. She is not the Queen of Heaven. The King of Heaven is Jesus, the King of kings, and the Lord of lords; the One who says: "I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE. (John 14:6-7). And He has no queen. There is none beside Him, except the Father and the Spirit.
