My Conversion to Catholicism & Why

  • My personal testimony on how I became Catholic. Catholicism is beautiful! The Priest described Catholicism as so, " Catholicism is the full course meal at the dinner table. " There is so much more to Christianity that is represented in the Catholic Church and it's beautiful! Are there issues in the Catholic Church? Of course, as do many other churches. But, as Jesus said, "The gates of Hell will not prevail against it." (Matthew 16:18) That doesn't mean the Catholic Church won't have bad apples in it here and there. The enemy is trying to bring down the church and he's trying to attack from within. Do not let the things you see occurring in the Catholic Church deter you from your faith. Remember Jesus's words. God bless you all.

    Thanks for sharing! I’m on a similar journey, going from non-denominational Christian to Catholicism. It all started after I went to a Catholic Church and left with a ton of questions. After learning more about the Catholic faith, I was convicted that it is the truth. Your story is very inspiring to hear. :)

    I was born and raised in South America and i was baptised in a Catholic church when i was 3 years old. Went to Catholic school for 12 years. But my parents were not practicing Catholicism at home...they never took me to Holy mass as result later on in life stopped believing in Jesus Christ. I was without holy mass most of my life....but Jesus never forgot about me...and 7 years ago....i had a supernatural experience with Jesus and through St Faustina who i believe was interfering for me.....i went back to the Catholic church. Now im a devoted Catholic...mass 5 to 6 days per week, confession once per month, adoration, daily rosary and at this time im reading the 33 days of consecration to Jesus through Blessed Virgin Mary. The sacraments changed my life. I had been healed spiritually and physically. My mom was able to enter purgatory....because even though she was away from rhe Catholic church most.of her life....when she was in the hospital dying a priest showed up and gave her the anointment of the sick which is the forgiving of all of her sins. My dad died suddenly heart attack without the sacraments
    He took all of his sins with him. 10 years passed after my parents died..then i had my conversion back to the Catholic church. I asked Jesus for 6 years....what happened to my dad. Where is his soul. I was afraid he had gone to hell. Last year i had a vision of my dad....he was in torment. I saw him in my room sitting and crying searching for his home. Confused
    Then the Holy Spirit told me that God on his mercy did not send him to hell...but kept him here on earth as a lost soul. I was in shocked and cried for days. i offered 9 masses for my dad. I prayed the rosary of St Faustina to Jesus asking Jesus that my dad could have the illumination of his conscious to ask Jesus for the forgiveness of his sins so he could enter purgatory. I prayed the rosary of St Faustina for my dad for about a month. I went to adoration and asked Jesus to forgive my dad. I cried to Jesus for my dad. After all of this praying....i prayed to Jesus if it was His will to let me know if my dad entered purgatory. Then I had a dream and my dad had entered purgatory. THANK YOU JESUS FOR YOUR MERCY. THE SACRAMENTS ARE POWERFUL AND WE NEED TO EVANGELIZE. The sacraments are the plan for salvation established by Jesus. Many people are dying daily without the sacraments and it is very dangerous.

    What a beautiful testimony. I have been Catholic all my life but turned away from the church for most of my adult life. 3 years ago I went to confession and started praying rosaries daily and going to Mass every week. Let me tell you, I have witnessed some incredible experiences. I truly witnessed the presence of Christ while in an adoration chapel praying in front of the Blessed Sacrament. Christ is truly present in the Eucharist. Go spend time in prayer in an adoration chapel and experience His Presence. You will glad you did. God Bless 🕊

    • @Undmommydiaries
      @Undmommydiaries  Před 3 měsíci +1

      @davidpersaud1630 it’s a chapel within the Church dedicated to Adore Jesus . Sometimes Jesus is exposed for public view inning in the Eucharist with a beautiful gold item called a Monstrance. And sometimes he is concealed within Tabernacle but nonetheless He is still present . Every Catholic Church is different regarding Adoration hours meaning when the Chapel is open for visiting . I recommend going on CZcams and typing live Adoration through EWTN Great Britain to get a view of our Lord. Thats the wonderful thing about being Catholic it’s universal and Jesus is everywhere ! God bless you

    • @Undmommydiaries
      @Undmommydiaries  Před 3 lety +9

      Thank Andrew for sharing . It was a major challenge for me. I was horrified that everything I learned may have been half of the truth and was terrified of being wrong. But I truly believe in my heart that when we consciously put aside what we’ve learned for a brief moment, and ask God please reveal to me Your Truth, Fully, with nothing hidden, and expose the truth that has been unseen, (He will do it through the most affirmative and clear sign!) God speaks to all of us in different ways for us to understand and God spoke to me clearly in that confessional and I felt the fear and presence of God come over. I will pray for you thank you for listening to my story and May God bless you always and your family. We are not enemies. We are simply brothers and sisters that need to re-align back to original Christianity the Catholic Faith. I encourage you Google who founded the Catholic Church and who googled other Christian (Pentecostal, Protestant , etc. denominations) I did this in my research early on and even Google of all things, has the truth plainly revealed that in fact Jesus Christ did found the Catholic Church. I googled “Who founded the Catholic Church?” Watch what you find. God bless you friend much love from America 🇺🇸

      Have you ever watch “ The Journey Home” weekly TV show on EWTN channel.The host Marcus Grodi ,a former Evangelical Minister ,now Catholic,he has been interviewing guests on his show for almost 2 decades now on why they converted to Catholicism.Many of his guests from the past have included Bible Scholars,Christian Historians,Theologians,Evangelical Seminarians,Missionaries,Intellectuals,Academecians ,Pastors,Atheists,Muslims,Jews,Mormons ,Buddhists,Hindus to name a few.Some were former virulently anti Catholic before they converted and some were Missionaries ,who travelled to Catholic countries to proselytize inhabitants,but in the end they converted to Catholicism.Some took even a decade or so of intensive research for truth in Christianity,before they joined the CC.Furthermore,many Pastors have lost their livelihood after their conversion.One even became a Walmart Greeter.Many more Pastors would like to enter the CC,but theyre fearful ,due to hostilities by family members and also the loss of income. Im aware of this , because Ive been receiving monthly newsletter from chnetwork.org for more than a decade now.They have numerous video and written testimonies on their website.Some were in your shoes before.Peace.

    I am Orthodox Catholic. But I had to move to a different city. The nearest Orthodox church is a half hour away, and I can't drive. At the church I attended before I moved my priest said if you cannot attend an Orthodox church it was permitted to attend a Roman Catholic church. There is one within walking distance. I'm really appreciating this church, besides the fact that Missal is SO confusing. Anyway, am really kind of excited. The priest even gave me a Catechism. Am actually enjoying reading it. I don't memorize well at all, so forget the rosary. I think I will stick with my prayer rope. Much easier. Thank for the vid. You're great!

    • @zealousideal
      @zealousideal Před měsícem +2

      Interesting.., so for me personally, I find the Catholic Mass much easier to grasp and interpret/understand much more so than the Orthodox Divine Liturgy.
      But they are both beautiful and historical and ancient and lift up Christ. In fact once you learn both systems very well, you’ll see how similar they are (but also notice all the differences). Their liturgy/mass is almost exactly the same as far as what is happening and taking place just much more drawn out and redundant.
      So, Whichever you choose to go to, or that God leads you to is fine.
      For me, Catholicism is a better fit and makes more sense and is more relevant for today and for me. Each church has its pros and cons and has its ancient beauty.

As a cradle Catholic, it's so inspiring to see converts (esp. young adults) share their stories. Praise God for you! I Grew up Carholic but it came a time when I had a lot of questions, about the Virgin Mary, about Catholics who were totally ignorant of the teachings of the church who did worship idols. I left the church and went to many Protestant churches seeking to establish a relationship with Jesus and to know I was on the right path towards him but I felt empty, I was missing the sacraments, the Eucharist, I begged God to lead me were he wanted to and he did. He brought me back to the church he founded and gave me the peace to understand those questions and that I was finally home at the Catholic church

    Thanks for sharing your tesimony. :) I think the agrument some churches (not only Catholics) use that they were the original church seems a bit desperate to prove that they are the only true church. It also shows that even Christians have different premises for understanding. Different interpretations. What I mean is for instance that the Catholic church interpret that their church was based upon when Jesus said to Peter that He would build his church on this rock. Of course other denominations could say other things to argue that they are right.
    For me - after searching protestant and catholic churches, but most of all searching the Bible, I am glad to believe that salvation is only found in the personal relationship with Jesus, following him. Not in a denomination. But of course He wants us to be part of a church community, which is his family, his body, his house, his bride. I am sure His Church is much larger than we sometimes tend to believe. ☺🙌

    Anneliese, know your video has been out over a year, but just bumped into it. What a wonderful story of conversion. I have heard 100s of conversion stories and yours is so unique and powerful.
    Prayers for you to remain strong in these difficult times ----- just know you are in the one, holy, Catholic and apostolic Church.
    I am a Catholic deacon, who myself had left the Church for over a decade (not out of anger, merely out of curiosity) and fell into biblical fundamentalism. With the Spirit's help, I came home (as you did) and now I am fed by the Holy Trinity, the Sacraments, the liturgies and the sisters and brothers in Christ's mystical body.
    Stay strong ---- thanks for sharing this witness. Happy Advent!!
