If you learn this, it doesn’t go away. I’m 27 and just picked up the skateboard for the first time since I was 13 and after a few tries I still got it.
Thanks Braille Army. I'm 34 and just landed my first ollie and rolling ollie today. Feeling great and these videos helped so much.
Thinking about starting at 30 ❤
u look in 20s man@@aloiseaux767
Don't expect to learn how to ollie in just one week guys. It takes a lot of practice and time. Have fun with it! Especially don't expect to learn all of these ollie's in just one week. Peace
bologna. I did one first day.
@@MeshuggahDave. that’s just you bro everyone else is different and skating is hard
I started skating 3 days ago and I made my first ollie ,its all depends on you and how much you are committed to do it
@@thomasofori6366 Keep it up brotha!
Ngl it took me a month but once I did my first Ollie all of them clicked so it took me a month to do all of them but everyone should learn at their own pace
Landed 4 ollies today ( not moving ) just keep on watching this videos. I’m 37 and Aaron inspired me to go out and skate even though I’m getting a lot of bruises falling ( not using pads but using a helmet LOL ) Just keep on skating, if you’ll not gonna get the trick for trying many tries always (practice) and do it over and over and over again. Dnt be frustrated bec that’s part of it. Go out grab ya board and skate 😁
Love from Seattle here. Thnx Aaron! ❤
I'm 31 an trying to learn again I ride goofy and Ollie reg position I'm trying to Ollie goofy but my legs won't work right 😭🤣
You guys should have a "Build and Film Contest" where teams get 30 minutes to build a skate obstacle in the warehouse, one hour to film skating it, and put together a 60 second clip to be judged by the people.
Im 37 and just picked up the board again over lockdown. Skated a little as a teenager but never really committed. Determined to get better this time. Just did my first Ollie in 22 years! Feels great
Would love to see more videos of new skaters learning this on your channel
Braille, your vids shows your love for skateboard endless , thank you for all the works you have done!
Thanks so much for the boot camp videos, Im a beginner and these videos have really been helpful❤
I really appreciate these videos. I'm almost 36 and I have wanted to learn my whole life. Now for my physical and mental health I am finally getting over my fears. Heights, speed, and getting hurt 😅 I'm glad these guys are here for encouragement and education! Skate or die my dudes!!
Loving this. I would love to see a montage of lots of people (Braille army?) landing their first Ollie. 👍
Getting back into skateboarding after a long hiatus (decades), and got my ollie back! Watching this helped a great deal! Thanks Braille, and thanks Mr Kyro!
Same for me , started skating after 12 year not skating and i still got my stationnary olie , but need some more practice for the rolling ollie and up curbs one
I’m working on my Ollies at pretty high speeds,on and off curbs and even a little 2 stair, I just downloaded your app on my phone, trying to get it all set up! Thanks for the help🙏🏻👊🏼😎
Thankyou for this new video about ollie
Watched Carlos all 4 stance hard flip tre flip yesterday while gabe nonchalantly yawns 😂
Awesome, looking forward to next week! Tip for beginniners: if your board is landing slightly to the left or right when you land your ollie, you can easily correct this by aiming slightly to the opposite direction just before popping your ollie. For example, my ollies pull to the left so when I land my board is aiming toward the left instead of straight ahead. I just aim a little to the right when I go to pop my ollie then it lands straight. Hope this helps someone out there!
Thx ☺️
@@Dino46753 No problemo!
I found this out too! It works well for me
U're chill like snoop dogg, love it 😍
I haven’t skated since I was 13yrs old, I’m 36yrs old and a disabled army veteran. Today I went to my local skate shop and bought my first board again. Within 5min I Ollie’d, I uploaded the clip on my channel. Great videos! They are helping, we didn’t have CZcams back in the late 90’s early 2000’s and learning fresh again is a awesome new experience, I honestly don’t even think I could Ollie when I was 13yrs old, I’ll try on concrete when I’m ready and learn to just ride the board again
Sometimes olling while moving seems easier than stationary, but something that i've realized has been helping me, is combining both, is like they complement each other (important to say i haven't fully learned the ollie yet)
Dude, Braille's videos are so inspiring and make me wanna skate again. I am in my 30s and haven't skated since my teens. I stopped because I got discouraged not progressing anywhere but this step-by-step approach and awesome explanations are so great. I hope you get so many people into this cool sport! Much love!
You can do it!
Ollies have been the most frustrating thing for me so thank you 🙏
Thank you bro. I had skateboarding for a couple of months now. I m in love with the riding the skateboard
Love it
I love it this video, im not practice skateboarding but im enjoyment so much this video.
This was so helpful!!! Ty
love you braille skaters
Never ever tried a shove it but back in the day could manage an ollie no problem. Mind you that was back in the 80s when skating and bmx was just picking up big in the UK
Looking forward to getting out on my new board 👌🏻
It keeps showing footage of a kickflip motion at 4:10 ?

Bro after practicing a lil bit, I'm doing rolling ollies over small objects. So stoked ..... It makes me want to practice a thousand times more! Speaking of which.. off I go lol

I started skating just 3 days ago thanks to you I can ollie but I broke my board after my second try 😂
I did a small alley and I’m proud of it
I love you dude
I just have a problem kicking out and my back foot going all over the place. Have any ideas how to fix that problem? Btw thanks for the video😁
Very nice info
Yo Aaron im trying really hard to Ollie but I need some tips please
Hey Braille! I keep initiating a small frontside turn (maybe 1/8) when ollieing, especially when rolling. Any tips to avoid that? Pretty spooky when landing likr that ngl
Popping the board and the timing of the jump is the most important thing for a beginner.
idk why but i love it so much when aaron kyro does the intro❤😁
i feel like i'm better at rolling ollie's now so i don't know if i should practise them stationary or work on ollieing onto things
Cool
Nice
I cant get the braille app it says its made for older versions of android
i been skating for 30 years still enjoyed this vid 👍
Yeah I have been riding for 30 plus years as well but just started learning tricks maybe the last few years I can manual but not ollie into it, anyway I am hoping to learn something from Aaron on these vids.
@@VintageSk8 practice makes progress 🤘🏼
Quick thought. This might have been one of those awesome things to use a helmet cam for.
Can any one help me, when I Ollie I grind the toe of my shoes rather than the side, what should I do differently?
Thanks in advance
I broke my foot a year ago doing the simplest thing with my board, and now I keep chickening out of Ollies. I want to Ollie and I can do them perfectly fine on grass or if I’m holding on to something but I can’t bring myself to try and land them normally. I keep trying and I want to land it but every time I chicken out before I even pop. I’m comfortable riding with my board too. I feel like I’m caught in a mind game, what do I do?
hi ive been trying to ollie but the back of my skateboard is not lifting up. can anybody help me?
Early gang!!!!!
i think i need to practice more, i can ollie but when trying it over some object i cant focus my eyes on the object, if i dont look to the board i fail the ollie, but if i look to the board i fail the obstacle
nice video
When I Ollie I tend to rotate and I can't figure out how to stop it. I’ve been told that I’m throwing my shoulder. But, when I try not to throw my shoulder, the trick doesn’t feel comfortable and I can’t do the steps right. Any advice?
thank you i love the way you explained grat job coach i will buy one can you tell me the height of the skate board i should buy iam 152 cm height
Get a size 8 width
@@brailleskateboarding okay thank you for your response and special thankful for all your supportive videos
bros chill af
I want to see skateboarding in the gym with Andy Anderson. Like a series on exercise and fitness outside of skateboarding with the focus of becoming a better skater. Isn't one leg bigger than the other? Whats up with that?
First baby ollie and semi consistent fakie shuv it 🤯
Awesome
I got really frustrated yesterday trying moving ollies, front wheels made it back wheels never did. My last attempt out of pure frustration I just gave the biggest push and really went for it and landed in a heap in between my bins. Don’t skate angry 😂
I hit my first ollie today
Bro I can't oille but lm keep trying to do I really want to land this trick
You can do it!
🔥
My timing after 11 days is terrible... 😩😩
After awhile some people just get in the way of themselves no matter how you break something down.
I struggle so much with ollies. I've been learning 3 years and they are still very inconsistent.
i cant i just cant i watched your video on why i can ollie im doing it correctly please help
Yo I just did my first Ollie on from this vid
Hi brallie, my arm broken yesterday now I'm gonna go fix my arm today ,fk my life😭😭😭,but I'm not gonna give up ,I will continue after I recover😭
can anyone help? im tryna ollie but im having a hard time sliding my foot up
I have one question and I haven’t seen any videos that mention it. What should I change if when I try to pop the board shoots backwards out from under me? I’ve been trying to learn but I keep doing this and falling on my face 😭😭
Im a beginner learning how ollie myself but i had this problem and I think its about pushing your back foot downward into the tail and not back. Try standing off the board and just popping the tail down with your back foot a couple times to get the feel of snapping downwards for the pop
@@josiahquintanilla thank you!!
Make a skaters against drugs campaign and use the clip at 8:53
I have a question about the pop. When you see people Ollie, it always seems that the foot never goes all the way to the floor like the practice step but stops a few inches before almost like it’s flicking the tail down rather than stepping down. Is this the case?
Yep, you're basically flicking it down with your ankles. When you push the tail down, right after you push it (milliseconds after) bring your backfoot up.
So all it takes to improve my work and life is to learn how to Ollie?? Okay sign me up 😂
I feel like ive got it. But it just feels like it happens so fast.
i cant do it
So sad that my favourite series’s videos gets less views then everything else
I keep trying to drag my front foot and i can’t, I’ve been trying to practice for like 4 hours
Send in a skate support or join Braille Army + and DM Aaron for help
I learned to ollie once, then I randomly from one day to another started to ollie higher but I cannot land it. Can anybody help me out?
Edit: I have been working on shove it for like a month almost 2 now but still can’t get it right.
Hi Aaron kyro
What trucks do you have?
Thunder
BRAILLE APP?
Yeah Braille App! apps.apple.com/us/app/braille-skateboarding/id1511833024
But Aaron I’ve been trying using skater trainers in the past. I still could get it? It were as if I was just jumping in the air? And I couldn’t even Ollie over a small pencil 😢. Now what, I gave up for now. Also what’s Braille army?
when i was a kid it took me two whole summers in my driveway attempting to ollie. after that i was hopping over curbs and onto manual blocks no problem. I put the board down for around ten years and although i dont have the ollie back yet, its on its way. Never give up and allow yourself to dream of yourself doing what you love. When you are awake take the time to be safe and progress at a safe pace and you will surprise yourself. Never give up. Our lives are forever. You have the time to get better.
@@MeshuggahDave. Thanks so much. Do knee & elbow pads really help
@@Blah-blah-sure keep in mind, Dave mirra was and will always be a legend.
His story in a nutshell is that after so much brain trauma the man with all of his glory ended up traumatized in a way that lead to his death by his own hand.
With all due respect to a man I never met, his story from how i understand it tells of how even the most graceful birds wings are still delicate and have a lifespan all their own.
You are the pigeon. You will never become the eagle if you do not protect your neck.
No olly olly oxen free?

This will help me alot with trying to ollie on a casterboard. I can air out but not ollie, its funny 🤣

I've been ollying over a box of cigarettes. Lengthways then vertical
I'm scare cuz if I don't land on the skate is so hard like I don't know how to be not scare🙂☠️
Where is the jump? As i understand, you cant pop without moving your weight upwards, so you must be jump at a point.
yuh
I can't do itttttt
