EASY RECIPE: How to make spicy cheese for bannock or crackers

- Hey guys, it took me an awfully long time to start making videos again. I guess life has this tendency to get into the way of stuff you like to do. Hope you all enjoy this new video anyway!
I brought along my son 'baking boy' to help out with the camera work, he was really excited to make an appearance so we had a blast making the video, and stuffing ourselves with cheese crackers afterwards :)
This recipe for forest cheese, a play on the farmer's cheese its based on, is a really nice way to enjoy those dry MRE crackers or to spice up a good bannock. Also, if you prefer a sweeter version, try it with some honey and fresh fruit, it makes an awesome dessert.
All you need is:
- some cheesecloth or similar cloth
- a little white wine vinegar
- full-fat milk
- rosemary
- thyme
- red pepper - Jak na to + styl

Paul Schortemeyer Heya Paul, thanks for watching :) 800ml to a liter of fatty whole milk and a thimble or two, three of white vinegar will do the trick.
Truly Awesome. How does ambient temperature effect the hanging time?
Thanks a lot Michael! Not really, the hanging time is mainly for the draining out of the compacted cheese, and to let it cool. (Personally I like it warm) But if you leave it hanging, say overnight, and it is cool or chilly, it will set more into a uniform cheese shape. A farmer's cheese like this one, is really fun to experiment with.
