Whether you are out camping, hiking or bushcrafting, sometimes you just need to eat on the move. This is a perfect breakfast or lunch to enjoy because it practically makes itself.
Just set down the can, fire it up and busy yourself around the camp while the savory smell of baked tuna wafts through the air. A very yummy and totally foolproof recipe. Enjoy!

Happy baking! - Jak na to + styl
I was taught this by a woman at Burning Man - we had it for breakfast. She had learned it when she did her service in the Israeli army. It was really good.
I've heard people mention the Israeli connection before. Very interesting!
I'm from Israel we cook it like this from age 0
@@DanTheMan19 same !
Yep did this in the IDF during training exercises in the wilderness. Would toast bread on an open flame to make the perfect sandwich
any idea if it's safe to cook in a can like this?
Im 17 and am currently training for the idf military recruitment tests. I live in israel and I make this after every training session! Super tasty convenient meal
Yes yes I just got back from yeshiva in israel we coined this טונה על האש it's amazing
all israelis serving in the IDF make this recipe
I tried it, and it was really good! Really convenient for if you don't want to carry a stove. Very quick and easy. Keep up the good work!
That was cool! 😎 Excellent idea for a simple warm meal!
I have only tried lighting tun in a can once unsuccessfully. Having watched your video I will give it another try and use your recipe at the same time. Thanks for sharing
Very clever!! Thanks for sharing! :-)
Great way to cook Tuna. I've been doing it for years. I also recommend doing this with Sardines in Oil. (Tasty)
You can also do this with Anchovies but I really don't recommend it.
5:27 Brilliant. One of those small stickes of genious daily hacks. Thx
this looks like a very cool idea, i gotta try it!
I used to prepare it like this, when i was serving in the army 😊
Monica probable taught him that she's going to be very upset with him hahaha great video thanks for sharing
Nice one, good idea with the vegetables 😁
Wow that was the most original canned tuna recipe Ever.
If I'm sharing it with someone Not use to the outdoors I will use a small paper towel :) ( just sounds better to soft city folk ). ; )
Thanks for the compliment :) and you are sophisticated in the way of the TP :) I salute you, sir!
When i was in military we did alot tuna BBQ, tasty as hell with a bit hint of burned paper lol.
Awesome!
CMC Fab thanks for watching!
very nice tip thank you
waoo, its nice
I Got Alot Out Of Your Video. Brilliant.
I'll post you on a hikers Facebook group I'm on. You have some beautiful country out there! Looking forward to viewing your videos!
CMC Fab thanks a bunch for the support! yeah, there are some nice places over here, but the grass is always greener elsewhere :)
The best part is it gives you light, it gives you heat, the paper leaves no residue at all, and the tuna tastes great
Hello from Idaho USA im just now finding you but subd as soon as watching your second Vid this 1 is great also.
Thanks a lot Diggen, and welcome :)
Cool idea while it burns you should put 2 stones at sides and place some cup over and boil water for coffee at the same time , btw how long does it burns
Leuk en orgineel ga het van het weekend gelijk testen!
Eet ze. Het wordt goed wer in ieder geval :)
nice vid again (y)
Don’t camp at all but this is genius!

Tony Eden I'll be sure to check out his channel. Thanks for the tip! 😃👌
mmmm, melting the BPA lining into your food. yummy.
rob yeah rather cook with a cardboard wax tuna can buddy burner
The flames on top and the heat rises. How would the BPA get hot enough to catch fire?
all good, interesting way of doing this. just one thing I would improve, instead of toilet paper I'd use something unbleached
Shiv Silverhawk by all means, use what you carry. 👌
subbed!
please post when I am not too hungry though
atb, tim
Yep lekkah, dit kan ik ook haha :)
Weet ik wel zeker!
What a shame it's two yrs since you posted. Good topic. Very good
I have 1 problem with this. Modern metal cans have a plastic coating inside of them. From my understanding it's not safe to cook in the cans.
BPA poison flavoured tuna mm yummy. You know that all jars are laced with toxic chemicals yes? What happens when you heat them ?
Replace bell pepper with ghost pepper 👍
I will do this. Hope the bears stay away.
That tuna recipe was inveted by israeli military forces we used to do that alot ...
Thats a cool backstory :) Did you use other cans with oil as well for something similiar?
Bushcraft Baking basically anything with oil might do as well as sardines n such ;)
I don't believe it was invented by any military force, although this technique is common in many military and camping communities.
Here in the finnish defence forces we do this alot. Quick delicius dinner haha
Finns do it aswell. I guess it's quite universal.
Are you dutch?
Coaster Freak yes, I am!
Bushcraft Baking you and survival Russia Lars should meet up next time he comes home.
Bushcraft Baking het is te horen!
I'm just broke
I really wish people would stop with the “you guys” every 45 seconds in just about every video . There are so many other ways to refer to people watching. LOL
One of the only Israeli foods 😂
