What Happened to CHANNING TATUM?

  • From "Magic Mike" to "This Is The End" to a cancelled Gambit film set in the X-men universe, Channing Tatum is far and away one of the more interesting cases of career trajectory. An actor that began his career as a hunky boyfriend-type but soon would sink his teeth into more comedic territory that would pay dividends in Seth Rogen led film "This Is The End" and his run starring alongside Jonah Hill in 21 Jump Street 1&2. With a promising talent for being charming, funny, and easy on the eyes- Channing was a shoe-in for the role of Gambit in a super-powered heist film meant to be produced by 20th Century Fox. Not to mention the iconic leaked emails from the Sony hack some years ago which showed Tatum's interest in a Ghostbusters reboot. In any situation, this guys has won the hearts of many and has proven to have much more left in the tank.

Yooooo! I like Jupiter Ascending! Good cast, interesting storyline (weird really),and sometimes you just gotta relax and just enjoy an interesting story.
C'mon, there was Sean Bean, Eddie Redmayne (sp?), and Mila Kunis did a very good job herself.
Stop being so judgey mcjudgerson, and just suspend reality long enough to enjoy a movie just for fun once in a while!

Dude has never been that great of an actor anyway. He is best when he does small yet strange parts and he gets the joke and dives in full on. Or when he does quirky cameos in things where he doesn't take himself seriously.
But as a dramatic actor....meh. He was really bad doing that awful southern accent in Kingsmen 2. You'd think being that he grew up in Missouri that ge could full nail that accent...but it sounded just off.
I am sure he is a nice guy or whatever, but he's more just window dressing than anything. Maybe if he spent a few years just upping his game.. who knows. It worked for Sean Patrick Williams (i think that is right)...the Stiffler guy
